Family of 5. Ate here twice. First time was in the evening on a weekend. Super busy and packed. Long wait time (to be expected). You can save yourself the wait with making a reservation (if possible). Food was awesome. Manager even came out and spoke to us about our first visit there. Waitress was very helpful and accommodating with their menu varity (they have a bit everything in there). Second visit was in the afternoon during the week. Still had quite a bit of people there, but the wait time was not even 5minutes. No where near as bad as the weekend. The food and service was once again awesome. I cant remember what my husband ordered each time, but I remember he liked it all. The kids first time had the grilled cheese sandwiches with apples slice and caramel dip. A dessert came with their meal. I believe it was ice cream, but cant remember. For their second visit they had grill cheese sandwiches again, but with apple sauce this time. The applesauce is a packaged one. My first meal was the chicken fried chicken with a cherry limemade. It all tasted great. The cherry limemade was eh. I still like Sonics more. My second meal was the Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich (I think thats what it was called) with a Strawberry lemonade. Their lemonade tasted better than their limeade. My mother was here for our second visit and she had the taco salad (which she enjoyed) with sweet tea. She was overjoyed about the sweet tea as she is from the south. I hate tea, but its a big deal to her as most places do not do sweet tea right in the north. Guess we are close enough south to do it right.

Good food poor service.We have gone in there many times and always good food and service. Yesterday for lunch the service was not good. The bartender was our waitress, she was entertaining but needs to do less talking to everyone and check on her tables. I found myself waiting on her rather than the other way around. When I finished a different waitress picked up my plate while our waitress was sitting at the end of the bar talking to a customer, so we waited......Instead of being waited on. This happened during the whole meal. The best part about it was the manager was standing there at the end of the bar the entire time completely oblivious. I thought the managers job was to manage not just be a totem pole, maybe look around or like most good restaurants check on your tables. We will go back but not at a table the bartender is taking care of.

I stopped in here after a long day of driving, just hoping for a cocktail and a bite of dinner. I sat at the bar as I was by myself, and the bartender was friendly, but I was disappointed to learn at the end of my meal (by overhearing) that there were drink specials that evening which I was not told about. I ordered the house sirloin steak, which seamed a good deal and the house speciality. The food however was mostly inedible due to the extreme amount of salt! The steak itself was also not the best quality. When it comes to meat I rarely leave anything on my plate, but this time I left most of it behind. There are many other restaurants in the area, I highly recommend trying one of them instead of this place! If you do decide to go here, then I suggest asking for light salt (even if you enjoy well salted food).

We have been going to 54th for many years now! Always great food...great service! We brag about how great it is,to family and friends...I always gave it 5 stars. Until tonight. We sit there for at least 20 minutes...no one ever came to even take our drink and food! order. I kept trying to get someones attention who would pass our table, hoping they were our server. BUT No reponse. So we just now left. I did tell the girl up front....only so they could give our table to someone else. 54th is still our favorite place. .we love the food, prices and usually great service. It must have just been an off night for whomever our server was.

The food was excellent, however when we arrived, I asked the hostess if she could seat is at a table, not fond of booths, so she refused herself and walked away. She came back and said that it will be a 30 to 45 minute wait. I looked perplexed as I saw a couple open tables, one of which was in the bar area, so we sat in the bar area and had a good experience. Aside from the glitch with the hostess out waitress took good care of us. Our Diners were excellent and we had a great time. The place can get busy, we got lucky with our visit and didnt have a wait.

This is the most Rude restaurant! Called to place an order and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Called on another cell phone, the manager John answered and told me to hold on. Then the bartender picked up the call and said the kitchen was closed. The manager John tried to mouth off about he was the one that put me on hold and it was only 5 minutes. But I clearly let him know that I called from another phone and it was merely 20 minutes. This sucks because I really like the rattlesnake pasta. I am never going to this restaurant again. Customer Service Sucks!

This place is like most 54th Street Grills and their food is usually always above average. The gringo dip is the selling point of this chain and we get it every time that we go there. The place is usually always clean and always busy. They have a great bar area to watch about any kind of sports you want and their ice tea is always fresh and not cloudy, you can drink it by the gallon. The reason that it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because its a chain. Other than that its a great place for lunch or dinner.

My wife and I are in town for a convention. Stopped by the Ofallon,Illinois location after checking into our hotel and decided to get a late dinner. We were seated, waited 10 minutes before a waiter approached and she stated she would be back and after 10 more minutes noticed that she started taking orders of the people who came in after us and after that we left. I would suggest if you go to this location? Go before 8:00 p.m. Or you maybe headed to AppleBees hungry....

I have to rate this restaurant 5 stars because the food was great, the service is great and everytime I go here or drive by, the parking lot has a bunch of cars in it. I think thats a sign of a good restaurant. The waiter was pretty attentive throughout my entire meal. I always go to St. Louis Bread company right across the parking lot, but didnt even think of trying this place until recently. It was great.

Ill never go back in my life! They served my wife & I cold food and replaced it with cold food 3x, got my sons order wrong and tried to cover it up with excessive sauce, refused to refund me (or at least tried to) and got an attitude with me for saying in addition to giving my 4yr & 2yr olds spoiled milk. I feel like they did harm to my family and Ill never go back in life.
