Drinks were adequate and food was good but the service sucked! I was there with 3 friends on Tuesday evening and the waitress was not only slow but didnt seem to have a clue how to waitress. I actually felt bad for her an asked others if she was new. Nope, she just sucks. Couldnt even bring the water in a timely fashion. The food took so long that one of the people in my group had to take her food to go and the waitress brought us our checks before she brought the food AND she gave the to go food to that person last! She then informed us that she was leaving and pointed out the waiter who would be taking care of us if we needed anything else. I. Realize the guy was very busy but I swear he was ignoring us on purpose. We would motion to him, wave our arms and yell out excuse me and he wouldnt even make eye contact! Terrible service.

If youre looking for a piece of Americana, this hidden gem shouldnt be missed. Simple bar menu expertly prepared. Mixed basket and patty melt were delicious. While the restaurant was clearly understaffed, the wait staff and the lone chef must have had superpowers to keep up with the bustling crowd.

Food is good prices are decent theyre a little low on staff thank goodness for the bartender he was great brought us food and drinks out on the patio took good care of us seem like the waitress working that day couldnt be bothered

Stopped in on a trip from Burlington IA back to Chicago. This place is out in the sticks but dont be intimidated - I was treated like a local and the food was good. Id love to crank back some beers in here sometime.
