Good food but if your not a regular you will not feel welcome. No one said hi or welcome to me but when they finally decided to take my order They looked right past me and welcomed and said good bye to the regulars as he was half heartedly taking mine. Ordered my burger medium and it showed up well done.I said something and his response was we do our best cant you see we are busy. Hard to want to be a regular when they treat you poorly as a first timer. Business must be to good to want a bigger customer base. They dont realize eventually they will need a new customer base as the current one diminishes.

Pros: Food was decent but super greasy, so good bar food. Staff was nice. Music was great, very 1970s. Cons: Mens room was very unappealing. The whole place was grimy in that old-A&W-restaurant kind of way. Most disturbing thing was that some channel called The Sportsman was on with lots of folks showing off their guns. I dont care if you own them, but for those of us who know ppl murdered by them, dont want to see them while eating. There are machines to gamble on inside entrance along with a table for paperback book exchange.

My wife and I went to Brothers Three for prime rib on Saturday because we had heard it was good. They did not disappoint. I had the 20 oz prime rib, cooked medium. Besides being huge, it was tender and delicious. They have two sizes which are marked "w" and "r" on the chalk board menu. The 12 oz is for "wusses", and the "regular" is the 20 oz that I had. There was enough beef on my plate to make at least three prime rib dinners at a normal restaurant. Needless to say, we took a lot home and enjoyed it again the next day.

Went with a group of 8 or 9. Ordered lots of different items and they were all very good. Burgers, steak sandwiches and specialty sandwiches. Atmosphere is very casual (building is actually a renovated gas station/service station). Service was quick and friendly; pay at the bar when done. Total team approach to taking orders and bringing out food. Several in the group have been there on many occasions and have always had a good dining experience.

Take your childhood comfort foods, wrap them in the gregarious personality of the Eastside and add wood paneling, a lot of wood paneling. Brothers Three. Great jukebox, fantastic fish fry and a terrible parking lot. Brothers Three has it all. If theres a wait, stick it out. Youll be glad you did. Plus, there are probably people there to help with that level of candy crush that has been kicking your butt.

I was here at least weekly for a number of months. Burgers, cod, perch, sides, all of it good. Every time. But then... The cook moved away from Madison to pursue grander things. The owner (I believe) took over the grill and fryer. I call the restaurant every so often to see if another cook ever got hired. Id love to go back, but two chances to get a burger and fish right is all Im willing to give.

His personality was original and one of a kind in our great Madison scene with a twist of his brothern Chicago style!!! We will recommend our friends and will return to re experience our time at brothers 3!

Good local spot for a beer and very good bar food. Reasonable selection of beers on tap, including some very good local craft brews. I have gone several times for the real, made-right-before-your-eyes fish fry. Also great burgers, and Im told good prime rib, though I have never had the prime rib.

I do not get the luxury of visiting Brothers 3 very often, but every single time I go there, the food and service are "second to none"!! Fish fry is Great, breakfast is better than most and the service is always friendly and fast!!!

This place may look like a bit of a dive bar but they have what may be the best burgers in town. The fish has always been good too and you get a large portion of food for the price. Also good drink specials and mixers for the price.

My wife and I frequently go here for prime rib on Thursdays and Saturdays. Its the best either of us have ever had. Its like a blast from the past inside with a retro 70s look. Staff is extremely friendly. A++ from me!

Best burgers on da planet! The atmosphere feels like a small town restaurant because everyone is kind to ya. Low price for what ya get its right next to a small neighborhood. Use to be a gas station. Gotta go there.

The garlic mashed potatoes are great lots if butter. The perch for the fish fry was plentiful and tasty. Its a dive bar and service is slow and not a green vegetable in site. The creamy coleslaw was fantastic too

Maybe i dont understand prime rib, but i like to be able to eat my sandwiches and when Im served the prime rib and 1/3 of it is fat, i dont like it. I cant chew that. The meat was 5 star once i got to it.
