After a whirlwind shopping trip we stopped in here to grab a bite to eat before the long drive home. This place boasts a latin-asian influence and has a menu consisting of tacos, rice bowls, salads, and quesadillas. The Asian influence seems to be with the tempura fried shrimp and fish as well as the Asian cabbage. Not much else is infused. I ordered the trio meal for tacos and chose the tempura shrimp and the Baja fish (also tempura). My side was the jalapeno cheese tots. When you enter, there is a counter you walk up to, place your order, pay and then sit. They bring your food to the table and drinks are self serve. The food came out relatively fast. Though being we were 1 of 2 parties in here I expected as much. What I didnt expect was luke warm food and generic cheese sauce with 2 little chunks of jalapeno. One would think the tots would be stuffed with the jalapenos and cheese. These were not. They were luke warm and generic freezer quality. The tacos were a step up. The shrimp was delicious! The pieces were plump and tasty and just the right amount of tempura. The fish was a thin piece with to much tempura on it so that you couldnt even taste the fish. The spicy sauce was non existent. Overall, I wouldnt eat here again unless others wanted to. And then, Id probably stick to a salad since those are suppose to be cold.

Good: - great tasting and well created entrees - excellent guacamole - friendly service Bad: - having recently changed their setup to fast-casual, its a bit awkward when entering; the procedure is like many fast-casual joints where you order at the counter and the freshly-made food is delivered to your table; unfortunately, the entry layout still has the appearance of a table service restaurant (a check-in "podium" with no menu board in site) which confuses most people entering - the drink station is awkwardly placed in a tight area that both blocks a passageway and leaves a few unfortunate dining customers with nothing to see but a lineup of booties Botton line: Overall, I highly recommend because the food is great. While I am pleased with their recent change to the fast-casual setup, they have a few kinks to work out.

I order the south west bowl with steak and the steak was in big chunks they were very rare and cold in the middle .The rice was cold too. We ordered an appetizer and it came out last. Went with another couple and our food came out 20 minutes before theirs did. So they watched us eat and we watched them eat. The flavors just didnt mix.. I probably will not be back.

I used to think people who referred to things as "better than sex" had just never had sex before, but then I had Taqueria Tsunamis queso.
