First, let me say how hard it is for me to leave this review for a restaurant my husband and I were SO excited to see reopen. The first time we dined was soon after opening and the service was horrible. We were disappointed, but were assured by management it would get better with time. We tried again last night. We specifically requested outdoor seating and were told it was not open because they didnt have the servers. Ugh. So they said give them 3-4 minutes and we would be seated. Fifteen minutes later, we were seated in the bar area. Manager said she would being rolls and send server. No rolls and didnt see our server till 15 minutes later. The bar was so loud. The bartender made more noise dropping things that even a couple of people sitting at the bar made comments. At one point, the manager, who seated us, was behind the bar talking to a couple at the bar. Quite surprising since it seemed very busy and she could have been helping the obviously overworked/understaffed waitresses. We couldnt take it anymore and left without eating. The prices for the food and the ambiance do NOT match. It was extremely disappointing. We can tell the owner has made wonderful renovations to the inside and outside. Huge improvements. However, serious changes and training have to happen with the staff before we will ever go back.

For the price I paid I was slightly disappointed. I had fried chicken and there was plenty of it but Ive had just as good if not better elsewhere. The gravy with the mashed potatoes tasted something like it came out of a can that I remember as a child. It was beef gravy on mashed potatoes. To me that doesnt quite go with fried chicken but rather white gravy wouldve. Corn pudding left a lot to be desired. Salads were fresh and very delicious as well as the bread was hot and yummy! The price of wine was over the top especially for a glass of Merlot. I travel all over the United States and thats the highest price Ive ever seen. Even in New York City its less money. $15 a glass doesnt cut it. The service and our waitress was very good, however, she appeared to be overworked taking care of multiple tables. I gave this a 4 rating because of the ambience and historic value. But if I was giving it on food and service it would be more of a 3 rating.

Wow. This place needs help and it just re-opened. Not enough servers and practically out of every beer and item on the menu. There were two versions of the dinner menu we received which had completely different prices for the same items. Had to ask for an explanation of why that was and they took the "outdated ones" out of our way even though this place has been open 2 weeks. I asked for an Appletini and the server brought back a vodka martini which isnt the same at all. Service overall took 2+ hours for the most basic of orders. Wont be back for quite some time. Pros were that our server was nice, and the food that was in Stock was good. Maybe this place deserves to rest in the 1700s when it was opened. Not meant for the modern customer.

Without a doubt, this was one of the worst meals I have had in a while. Although the atmosphere, wine, and service were fine, much of the food was horrible. The steaming biscuits came with "butter" (tasteless margarine at best). The house salad (on a dinner plate) had two half-dollar size tomato slices, two slices of cucumber, and three croutons. The calamari tasted like (as I commented to my husband) fried rubber. After that, I didnt want to eat anything else. For a restaurant of this caliber, the quality of food was inexcusable. I will not return.

This was our wedding anniversary and I was expecting a good dinner. I havent been here since it was open years ago. I think they were under staffed. Really bad service. We wanted the filet but they only had 1 left and this was at 6:30. We had to ask for salt & pepper. We noticed everyone else had dinner rolls. We had to ask the owner for them. The ribeye was good but my wifes Ky Hot Brown was horrible. The toast on the bottom was burnt black. We told the server about it but thats as far as it went. We wont be back.

We had been to the Inn a number of years ago before the remodel. We really liked the place then. We visited last nite after a long abscence and while the service was OK my order was terrible. I had the Chefs Special Ribeye Steak. It was a terrible piece of meat and poorly cooked. They smothered it and almost everything else on the plate with some kind of sauce. For a $31 entree it was awful. I have had better meals at OCharleys for a fraction of the price.
