I have always loved shopping at Meijer until last night. I went to the 9905 Dixie Highway Meijer in Louisville, Ky. On Jan. 7, 2014 I bought some Meijer brand remanufactured ink. When I got home and put it in my printer, my computer popped a box that said the ink was damaged and to replace. It was brand new, or so I thought. Oh well, no big deal. I just went to return it last night Jan 11. Well, I handed the customer service lady my receipt with the box and ink cartridge. I explained my situation and even showed her a pic on my phone I had taken of the message that popped up on my computer. She looked at me like I was an idiot, and immediately said in the rudest tone of voice, "This looks old...like old old." I explained my situation and even showed her a pic on my phone I had taken of the message that popped up on my computer. I explained that is was remanufactured and that a defect in the cartridge was a big possibility. That wasnt good enough, so she turned to the young girl at customer service and proceeded to say, "Dont you think this is USED?" She continued to whisper to the other girl right in front of me. Well, by this time I was extremely embarrassed and hurt because I was telling the truth. She calls the head of customer service who was probably 40 years younger than her up to the desk. She looked my age. Im 20. I explained my situation to her while all three of them just stared at me like I had 3 heads. I asked if I could just get my money back because it was guaranteed and I had only purchased it 3 days ago. She said no. You can just exchange it for the same thing. Reluctantly, that is what I did. When I left, I called the meijer number on the ink cartridge, and the lady told me that since it is remanufactured, it wasnt going to look like a a shiny new ink cartridge. She said that I should have been able to get my money back with no problem. Needless to say, I will NEVER be shopping at that Meijer again due to the incredibly RUDE customer service. I have worked in customer service for 3 years, and I have never treated anyone with the disrespect that was conveyed last night. While I do understand how it could be interpreted that I was possibly exchanging an indeed used cartridge just to get cash, this was not the case, and it should have been handled in a completely different manner. Lastly, I will explain that I am never one to complain, and I have never made a review of a store like this because nothing this rude has ever happened to me before.

Just left the store and will NEVER be back. Upon arriving asked a butcher if he had some ribeyes that were 1 inch thick. His reply was to hand me a multipack of 2 cut at 3/4 inch and say "they will turn out just like this". 1. Thats not what I asked for 2. I thought that as a butcher your job was to cut meat for customers that MAY want something your employer offers to its loyal customers 3. IF I didnt have a specific reason for having the steaks cut that way WHY would I ask for them to be specifically cut to order? I take the multipack after he basically is trying yo tell me HE doesnt want to cut me some and think I SHOULD BE AT....KROGER. Now Im not a clean freak, but when you have produce that a customer has either left or doesnt want on a self checkout station something is WRONG! Especially when the attendant is standing right there. The store looked as if it was the day after Christmas....Crap everwhere. Walking back yo my car thinking of the experience I just went through Im thinking WHY??¿¿ spend my money someplace like this, be treated like this and the theres carts throughtout the parkinglot, cups on the ground and in the carts. The store either needs new management, a corporate audit and a overhaul. Sad that one of the jewels of the southend when it opened has slipped so FAR so fast. If I could give a half star I would!!!

This popular mid-west megastore is well rooted in town. Though competition is tough, it holds its own because the selection of merchandise is somewhat different. It Meijer is not your "go to" store, it should still occasionally work its way into your routine. Depending on your needs, it has many reasons to be your first stop or your last. Good: Produce is #1 at Meijer. In town, I think Meijer offers up the widest and freshest selection of produce. Nice selection of flowers and plants. Bad: As of this writing, this is the only Meijer in town that was not included in the remodeling that swept though a few years ago. If you shop multiple Meijer stores, the layout here will drive you crazy because it is different than all the others. Grocery sales are good, but taking advantage is a must to offset the prices of other items that are priced a bit higher than the competition. Caution: Customer service is hit and miss, but thats just about the same at any big box store with a large number of employees and personalities floating around. In the end, I think all shoppers in the area should visit this store anywhere from occasionally to often.

Im a health coach - The produce department is usually outstanding. There is a wide variety of vegetables, including fresh herbs. The other aisles are getting better and better, offering many quality organic products, including pasture raised eggs, and dairy products. The frozen seafood section features many wild caught varieties. Good parking, and good access from Dixie Highway, but never enough handicap spaces. Checkout isnt the greatest - their self check outs are weird and dont allow you to bag as you go, holding up the next customer. Very few selections in organic and pasture raised meats and poultry. That needs to be improved.

This is the worst place to get deli meat sliced!!!! With 4 machines usually only one works ~l never step away from the counter under 15 min. In fact I am here now still waiting to be waited on and 20 minutes went by. It is1:00 and one worker disappointed! I wouldnt even come in if l could get the same meat somewhere else !!!!! Another thing that happens is if another customer comes to the prepared food a woker assisted them first even though I was there waiting and waiting~Byw. I am still waiting! Dixie Hwy Valley Station

I do like the store itself and the product, however way too ofter the sale items are not stocked. I use the self check lanes that are larger so I can back my own groceries otherwise they are t bagged correctly. Almost all the time the employees working that area offer to help i nicely say no "I prefer to bag my own stuff but thanks anyhow". Most employees are fine with that. However on my last visit the employee working the area apparently had an issue with that because when the belt backed

Hate this store...is always miserably hot in there...does not matter what time of yr. The produce is rotten, brushed or covered in fruit flies. I have personally seen milk on the shelf out dated by 2 months. There are always cars parked in the lane where you pull up to load your groceries...THEY SHOULD BE TOLD TO MOVE!!! I have never stood in line for less than 30 mins...everything is over priced and trashy...go to the meijers on preston instead...or kroger...
