Friendly waitress and decent food for a family with a 2 yr old ons-poor management of service and wait staff. Completely understaffed and manager seemed very overwhelmed and took it out on our lovely server doing her best taking orders in 2 sections. No empathy or constructive training for a great employee. I hope this was just a bad day and not a consistently hostile environment for the kitchen and wait staff. It took us an hour to get our food even after speaking to the management. I have great kids who were patient and we kept them busy and quiet , That was a difficult task for us adults and we just wanted a nice relaxing family breakfast and break from cooking and we didnt get that. Id rather have cooked at home.

I went to Perkins this morning at 7:15 before school, I was going to pick up a muffin. They open at 6am and the doors were locked. I drove to the back and theyre all back there smoking sitting and talking. They told me they were closed because the electricity was out, the lights were on... she told me, "oh nobody told us that" nobody told her because theres nobody in there, there all back there smoking. I drove off. All I wanted was a muffin.

Went to Parkins this morning. My wife and I and our 6month old baby. Asked for a booth and they took us to a two person booth. We asked for a larger one as clearly a car seat would not fit. They gave us a larger booth yet they had gotten new tables since the last time we were here with was maybe a couple of months, if that. The new tables allow you absolutely 0 room. Im 130 lbs and could barely fit. This is ridiculous.

5 minute screaming match between our waiter and another staff individual next to our booth, 10 minute wait to be seated, 40 minutes to get the wrong meal, and same waiter telling an elderly customer that "I waited on you already!" when all that customer wanted was a refill of water. Terrible service, however, manager did try to make it right even though my family lost their appetite with the screaming match.

Order was messed up and manager was rude. He may have been try to resolve the issue but his tone and attitude were very unappreciated. I will be calling back for the owners number and everything I will not have this manager continuously be rude to people. I just got out of the hospital I didnt need to be treated rudely.

You know its amazing how good their food is. Of course breakfast is always good -- but for the money try lunch and dinner without just ordering their famously good pancakes. Try their Fish! Service has always been good. Its locally owned but stable as any chain. Have a great meal!

Not going back. Eggs cooked twice still not right. Egg scrambler w mushrooms and spinach dont order worst thing. Manager didnt care we were unhappy and we never usually complain and we are great tippers. Had to hunt down servers after waiting to get her attention.

Great local alternative to Bob Evans and those types of places. Very friendly staff, large menu variety, and large portions. Great coffee that rich but not too bold. Weve never had to really wait even when theyre busy in the mornings, either.

I use this as a morning meeting point often. The food and quality of the restaurant are fine. What I find lacking is the service. Maybe it is just to early but where are the warm smiles. I feel like Im bothering the server.

Perkins is THE most underrated restaurant in Indiana in my humble opinion. Consistently great food at a great price with a relaxing inviting low key atmosphere. Its our bread n butter restaurant and really love it.

Ordered the senior Turkey dinner. Waitress keyed it in as regular price meal. When I pointed it out at the register it totally confused both of them. Made me feel like they thought I was doing something wrong.

It had newly been remodeled when I went, so it was pretty nice inside. The wait staff and host were both nice. The food was good, and wasnt overpriced. Not bad for a chain restaurant, at all.
