We are staying at a hotel near Fourth Street Live for a couple days during the Christmas holiday break. We thought we would give GB a try since they have many selections on their menu and that is a plus for my familys diverse tastes. Service - 3 stars. Ambiance - 3.5 stars. Food - 1 star. My daughter and I split a 10 inch pepperoni pizza that was more like a 7 inch pizza + 3 inch crust. The dough/crust dominated this pie and the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni were minimal. Taste was just ok. Do not order this! My other daughter ordered the fish tacos and she said they were very bland. My third daughter ordered the ciabatta turkey sandwich and there was a watery spread that dripped out with every bite. She was not thrilled. My wife ordered a chicken slider and side kale & quinoa salad and she was satisfied with both. I had a Golden Export lager, which reminded me of Bud Light....nothing special about this beer at all. Bottom line is that I left there with the strong feeling that I will never enter a GB restaurant again...one and done.

First visit will be last visit. Our server was not in the happiest of moods. She seemed like she didnt want to be working. We ordered waters so we can decide on what drinks we will be having. Ten minutes after water she asked us for our order for food. She forgot to even ask about our bar drinks or if we wanted an appetizer. My silverware was dirty and she didnt seem to care. After 30 mins and no appitizer I looked at my husband and told him to make sure appitizer is not in bill. Our main meal came and we told her about the non appetizer. She did say she forgot and will give it to us free. Food was OK not the best I have had. Our chocolate cake tasted frozen and my salmon did not taste a thing like bourbon or what ever it had mentioned. I was disappointed since I was looking forward to eat there for some time. Definitely need servers who are happy to be at work and who do not forget about their tables.

After arriving to a lovely looking resturaunt with a great beer selection and a pleasing decor I was horrified by the preformance of the service. While the food was decent the service left a bitter taste in my mouth. As we sat at our table our server "Steven" greeted us in a friendly way, took our drink and food order and then the next time we saw him was a half an hour later when he brought out 1 persons food. Everyone at the table had poor spirits, empty cups and a hunger left unsatisfied. Within two hours everyone finally had their food thanks to another server who proceeded to apologize for Stevens service and helped please everyone at the table. The first time Steven ever asked our table if we needed anything was right after our new server had delivered all of our food and refills. My suggestion if you decide to come here and your server is named steven, just leave.

We ate here to celebrate our sons recent graduation from the University of Louisville. The staff was friendly and seated us promptly at our reservation time. The atmosphere is very classy and yet cozy. Our waiter gave us great service. Our party had the Warm Brie Salad, the Pork Chops, and the Beef Filets. All were delicious! I had the filet and it was the best filet I had ever tasted - cooked perfectly and very tender and juicy. The flavor was amazing!! I highly recommend it. This was a wonderful place to celebrate such a special occasion. I would love to eat here again!!

A little disappointed. Our server was terrible. She didnt know what beer you had. I had to go to the bar myself and speak with the bartender. Then she was so slow in doing everything. She should have been moving a lot faster than she was. We saw several people get up and leave after sitting for a long time and not being addressed. The section was not full. She asked us if we wanted water and we said yes but she never brought it. The rest of the night was a lot of fun but next time I think we may try another fourth street restaurant.

The wait was extremely long for this restaurant. I have a feeling they are understaffed causing them to not be able to use all tables available in the restaurant. Once seated our waitress was great and very personable. She helped guide us through the beer menu. We ordered wings, French dip sliders, beer battered muscles, and fish tacos from the small plate menu. The muscles were delicious and the tacos pretty good. Probably wouldnt order the sliders again. The wings were good but nothing to rave about. Overall and okay experience.

Its a chain brewery / restaurant. If you see nothing wrong with that, you might like Gordon Biersch. Beer is okay at best. Food is terrible: I bit into a burger and a water-like liquid gushed out of it into my basket. Not beef grease. Maybe a brine? Who brines a burger!?! So much liquid, it ruined my fries too. Previous meals where not as bad as the burger, but not worth writing about. Seeing how there are so many better options downtown for less, I cannot recommend.

Apetizer was great, but the main dish was horrible. I ordered the GB Beer Mushroom Chicken and did not like it at all. The breading was too soft and the chicken looked like fish. It had no flavor and the texture was bland. Really pricey at $17 for chicken to begin with, and the service wasnt all there. I asked for more chips for my dip and never got them. Overall not a good first impression for me.

Very poor service! We sat down and 1 1/2 hour later we get our food. Other tables same thing. Can see the waiters in the kitchen and they just wait in there and should be refilling our drinks. Steven did joke to us he is a terrible waiter AND he is definitely a terrible waiter. The others had to finish the job. And the silverware was not clean and we had to get someone to get us silverware.

Brandy(i) served us. It wasnt busy, but we visited on Monday, Presidents Day from out of town. Enjoyed the fish tacos and french dip sliders. We also shared the ceasar salad, which was also delicious and perfectly dressed. Didnt try the beers, but we had the classic margarita and moscow mule which were both decent, but nothing to rave about. We sat on the patio, which has a great view at 9pm.

I ordered the Mahi entree and it wasnt even close to Mahi. The fish was a coffee color and tough. Had a terrible case of heartburn well into the next day. Swai? or just bad fish. The wait staff must have stopped at our table laden with food for other tables at least 5 times while we were there. Lesson learned ...dont go for the food. The beer selection is good though.

I call for lunch orders about once a week at the same time. The food is great (albeit pricey). Usually they tell me 10-15 minutes. There is one girl that answers the phone and says 30 minutes. When I get her, I might as well hang up. Today she told me 45. I asked how come she is the only one that tells me that, and she says well they are in the middle of their lunch rush. .
