We flew in to Lake Wawasee Sat May 25 and decided to stop in the Frog for lunch. When we got there it was not crowded at all, about 11:30 AM. We found a table outside, that had been cleaned off, most were not cleaned off from other guest. Once we sat down several waitresses walked right past several times not even acknowledging we were even there. The only person that greeted us was the guy helping tie the incoming boats.Finally after about 20 min a little bubble head brown hair girl said that she would be right with us. It was another 10-15 min before she came back! We finally got our drinks and then food but it took well over another 20-30 min. We were never asked once if we wanted a refill, and at $2.49 for drinks a cup of ice tea I would expect a refill ! We had asked for commandments and did not receive them either. It did not take them long to bring the whopping bill though! For three of us just ordering lunch sandwiches the bill was over $32 dollars! The prices for sandwiches are a plain rip off for what they were ! Over $8 dollars for a pork tenderloin and some fries ! I will not be going back to the Frog again. It seems unless you float in on a boat you are over looked. We were dressed for cooler temps because we flew our airplanes in! We flew in last fall and were greeted well and the prices had not gone sky high ! What ever has changed there is a bad thing for word of mouth customers. I have already described this poor visit to a lot of locals and they have also agreed the prices are outrageous at the Frog and the service has gone way down hill.I was referred to another place ironically right across the street for our next visit to Syracuse for lunch or just a nice meal and relax time. Shame on the management for allowing this to happen ! I refused to leave a tip for the poor service although a tip of advice would have been something I should have left.

I went here for a relaxing dinner on the 4th of July and it started bad and went downhill from there. It took forever for the waitress in our section to come over to us - to the point where we asked the waitress in the section over to let her know we were ready to order. Our food took forever and then when it finally came my order was wrong and I sent it back. I ordered a taco salad and when it came back from being fixed and I started to look at it, I realized it was nothing like the description on the menu. It was missing half of the ingredients but being hungry and upset at this point, I just ate it. I ended up paying $10 for some lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and a few pieces of chicken in a tortilla bowl and called it a taco salad. We ordered a few drinks that were over priced so when our bill finally came it was outrageously expensive for the service, food and experience. The one positive thing I will say is we sat on the water and the atmosphere was nice but I also think that can be found at a different restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend.

Worst experience ever. Waited with out party of 20 for an hour and a half before someone on our party inquired about our food. Was never asked if we wanted refils. Waited at the bar for 15 minutes for someone to tell us we were standing at the wrong side of the bar to get service. In the mean time 6 waitresses ignored us and walked past us and failed to tell us about said rule. And the bar tender looked at us at least 6 times and never said anything. After complaining they brought half of the food we ordered. Which was either cold, missing items, or just awful. Asked for the manager who didnt listen. Said he was going to check on our food and never came back. Sent the waitress out to tell us it was on them. Half the party walked out before being told this. Worst part. The food ordered was chicken strips, taco salads, and burgers. Worst experience ever. Never would recommend to anyone.

Avoid at all cost! Great atmosphere on the back porch, but we waited for over 1hr 15min for our food and finally got up and left (with no food). The waiter told us for the last 20min that our food was coming right out. The people at the table next to us just got after the waiter because they had been waiting so long. We went across the street to Pizza Hut and saw another family who got up and left from The Frog Tavern as well. They were definately not serving in order. We watch several boats come and go while we waited. We had been there before we better results. Not sure we will make this mistake again.

Family outing in boat turned into disaster. No parking for boats, so tried to call in a pizza order while "floating" around in channel waiting for a boat to leave so we could park. Was placed on "hold" via cell phone, which turned into 16+ minutes on hold!!! Walked in the restaurant, the phone was still off the hook, and we were treated like dirt. The management could have cared less...just made up excuses. Poor customer relations. Would not recommend for family dining.

I eat there almost every night and the staff is super nice but the kitchen area is too small for the resturant. I think if they expanded the kitchen it would make the resturant a lot better with the wait time but you have to think that at least you can sit at your table and drink your drinks instead of having to wait in a waiting area or in your car like you do at texas roadhouse or applebees

Went by car, but the back deck was packed with boats. It was busy and the food took about 25min. to get after we ordered, but it was a relaxing time. We ordered a couple of drinks and sat on the back patio and watched the boats go in and out. When the food arrived it was surprisingly pretty good. I had the breaded tenderloin and the kids shared a pizza. I will definitely go back.

Waited almost 3 hours just to walk out . Manager was rude, kitchen super slow . The waitresses where nice but just terrible service took an hour and 45 minutes just to take down drinks and it was not even busy at the time . Barely any food came out , if it did was incorrect and even had to come out and re take down orders ... Would not recommend.

We eat here often and find the whole regular staff and owners to be welcoming and friendly. The food is good for this type of place with a varied menu and good quality. Prices are reasonable - not cheap but not expensive and it is one of the few place on the lake to which you can boat.

2 pm monday saw 2 tables not being promptly bussed also observed 5 employees sitting at the bar drinking soda while tables still needing bussed off. waitress never came back to check to see if we needed anything further not eagerly friendly staff defiantly thumbs down experience.
