Great place to have sushi for a reasonable price. We double date here all the time. They have discontinued their half-price sushi menu on weeknights, but their prices are still very reasonable compared to the "hipster" places on Bardstown road or the Highlands. I cannot speak for the raw sushi menu, but all the selections I have tried that include cooked ingredients are very tasty! They recently remodeled the whole restaurant and it has a great atmosphere. The dining tables are separated from the hibachi grill, which is nice if you dont want flames shooting across your table during dinner. But if youre into the showy aspect of hibachi, their chefs are pretty entertaining. Lots of families with kids eat here.

DELICIOUS! everything here is spectacular. The sushi grade at this place is best. Where to begin: 1. The floor has beautiful designs 2. The restrooms are very clean 3. The service is AMAZING 4. They can make the best mixed drinks 5. The sushi is sososo good that it cannot be compared to many other sushi houses in Louisville. The crab tastes like it just came from the ocean. 6. Even the ginger dressing is perfect. Dont waste your gas & time going to an expensive sushi house- Sapporo, Maido, any of them really. Its NOT worth the drive.

Such a great little place. Sauces are made in house, probably the best teriyaki sauce Ive ever had, food was fresh and well prepared. Staff was friendly and enjoyed having conversations with the customers. I had the spicy tuna roll, my only suggestion is the tuna could have been a little colder but the flavor was great. I also had their hibachi steak and it was great and reasonably priced. Dont just pass this place buy because it looks simple from the outside, the flavor are complex and it is a true hidden gem.

For the same price, I could have had Sake Blue with fresh ingredients. I had Scallops and Shimp , they had to be frozen, the texture was a give away on that. The "roe" that I got 2 of each seemed halfway dried out. Las Vegas roll was mediocre at best. Overall quality was at maybe 3 in a 1-10 scale. I did get full. The price should have been half of what it was. Next time I will drive across town if Im gonna spend that kind of money, and get what I pay for.

The Sunday dinner menu features a "two dine for $24" steak or chicken teppanaki dinner, which is the best value for Japanese restaurants in town. That, combined with draft Sapporo pitchers for $5 from 3-7 pm is a real bargain. Restaurant has been remodeled, is clean and staff are friendly. Chefs do a great job of keeping the customers happy and portions are large. Overall, good value for the price.

When this place first opened I wasnt a huge fan but since theyve revamped their menu I have completely changed my outlook on Fuji. The sushi menu is great and very reasonably priced compared to other places around Louisville. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. My only complaint is on the lighting. Its much too dark at the booths! Overall this place is great!

The sushi maker was having lunch on the same table that our sushi was being made and the sushi was tiny. Not at all worth the money for what we got! The atmosphere was terrible aswell as the lighting and the rap music didnt go with the Asian atmosphere either. Youll get a better experience elsewhere Im sure. Glad we experienced a place that well never visit again!

I love eating at Fuji, the food is really good and the service is great. I would suggest though that if you go there, go for lunch. The meals are much cheaper and the only difference between lunch and dinner is that you get soup and salad with dinner and only 1 with lunch. The price for the meals on the hibachi doubles for dinner.

Food was delicious, love coming here. However, they will charge you $3.50 if you are with a group that gets something from the Hibachi and you do not also purchase something from the Hibachi. Additionally, our chef definitely did not seem all that enthused to be there, which is one of the main draws for that style of dinner.

When this place first opened it was great! Now not so much. I would hate to see the portions for lunch since dinner was barely there. The rice and vegetables use to fill the plate and I would have to take leftovers home but not now. Wont be back. Oh and tables were sticky.

Its my new favorite restaurant. My boyfriend and I go at least once a week. The miso soup is delicious and the Derby Roll sushi is outstanding. We always eat at the hibachi and its also become tradition to eat there with the whole family on Christmas day.

Lil run down. And over priced. But our chef was excellent. He called him self the Caucasian Asian. He put on a great show while cooking an excellent meal. His name was Nathan. If it werent for him i would only give a 2 star rating to this bistro.

The hibachi grill can be a bit gimmicky after you have it so much but the food at the grill is delicious. You get faster service at a table, and your meal is good, just not as great. The casie roll is awesome, and the gyoza is pretty authentic.

Unless you are getting sushi or the grill this place just isnt worth it. The chicken is oddly cut and the fried aspect of the binto box is just disgusting. That being said the do have some good sushi and its reasonably priced.

I love this place! The food is amazing and the price is reasonable. If you go for lunch (before 2pm) the hibachi meals start around $7! Also on Sundays its 2 for $20! Its one of my favorite restaurants!! :)
