This is one of my favorite places to eat in Indianapolis! They are owned by P.F. Changs and market themselves as a cheaper version. The place is always clean and the staff is always very friendly. When you walk in, you proceed to the counter where you place your order. If you are dining in, youre given a number and a cup for your drink. The Coke machine is one of those pick your flavor kind, which I love. There is no wait staff, and the food is brought to your table as it is completed in the open kitchen area. At times one person will get their food before the rest of the table. The food always comes out hot, and full of flavor. Because there is no wait staff, if you need a refill you have to get it yourself. They do swing by and remove empty plates as needed and of course are available if you should need something you cant get yourself. Typically for the two of us we spend around $25-$27 each visit, which is reasonable even though there is no wait staff. I would spend the same elsewhere in the area. A lot of the staff are regulars and have been there since I began coming here in 2010. If you dont mind getting your own drinks, and potentially getting your food before everyone else at your table (or being the last) then this place is a definite must!

Sometimes we eat here and the food is incredible. Fresh, hot, and very tasty. Sometimes we eat here and it is like they have burned the tofu and thrown cold, raw veggies over top of the entrees. On a good day, I would give them five stars, easily. On a bad day, I would be hard pressed to give them one star. I dont know what makes the difference. The good news is that the last two times, that is twice, right in a row, the food has been excellent. The flip side of the coin is that staff are not necessarily all that helpful. During one horrible visit, we had to send the honey seared tofu dish back due to being burnt. The second time it came out, burnt again. I contacted corporate and they sent me two $10 gift cards. When I tried to redeem one, it had "never had anything on it" as so rudely stated by the cashier, as if we were trying to scam her. Reading back on this review, I cannot believe that we ever went back to visit again. Unless you want to go into Broad Ripple and fight and/or pay for parking, there is a dearth of good eats in the area. We sometimes just crave their food and have to compromise our values and gamble on the outcome just to go there.

Ive never had a bad experience with the food here. Another reviewer commented on the food not being cooked, and the seasonings not distributed well. Ive been there at least 10 times, and this has never been the case for me or anyone in my group. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad Rolls and the Honey Seared Chicken are my favorites, after trying a few of the menu items. Napkins can be a little hard to come by, and there is a wait sometimes (they run out of tables sometimes during peak meal hours), but its definitely worth going here. The only downside for me was that the items are a bit pricey. Good quality, though.

Great food---PF Changs food without the wait and the higher prices though trimmed down menu. Food quality here is top notch. Many Asian places serve the much poorer quality meat in dishes, such as quite fatty chicken pieces, whereas Pei Wei serves better quality meats as does PF Chang. (My wife and I love PF Chang---the one at Keystone at the Crossing is excellent and has a great staff and management especially the main manager Chris who is always, always on the ball. We are coming to really appreciate this place too which happens to be owned by PF Chang.)

Lets start with the positives, young lady taking orders was very friendly and the Kung pao roll was tasty. Now, there were dirty tables everywhere and even when the young lady took the plates off the table she never wiped the dirty tables off. We ordered the chicken kung pao wok classic with extra veggies. Chicken was dry and I never received my extra veggies. Japanese steak & shrimp had a real funky taste to it. Most of our food was left on the table. Which is very sad....

I created a gmail account just to leave a review. The way your store is set up you have two entrances. When you have two areas to walk into customers have a huge issue knowing where they are in lined. I was cut by a customer knowing I was in front of her. She got her food before me and the manager apologized for her cutting me. Its kinda funny. The food was good, the sushi wasnt rolled correctly and wasnt worth the money.

The food is far from decent (thus I have to agree w/ some reviews) but I liked the 120 + SODAs! It was worth a try and I dont think I would ever go back for food but certainly for the beverages! More on the Food: the food (chicken, shrimp and tofu) was not sauted and it tasted raw. The sauce and seasoning was not distributed well and it was clumped. I took a few people there and almost everyone had the same complaint.

Erika is the BEST - She is the customer service expert at Pei Wei! I work less than a mile away from Pei Wei, so it is frequented often by my co-workers and I. Whether we are calling in an order for pick-up or dining in, the customer service, cleanliness, and food are always on point.

The food was great and most items were reasonably priced. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the spring rolls were $1.99 and most other places only charge $.50 to $1.00 for the tiny spring roll, to which you only get one. Most people could finish it with1 to 2 bits maximum.

The food was okay. The staff doesnt wipe off the chairs or booth seats, so we did ourselves. I would recommend going to a truck stop if you have to go to the womens restroom as Im sure it would be better than here!! The smell was horrid and it was very dirty. NEVER AGAIN!!

Our food was prompt, hot, and delicious. Staff was polite and attentive. Dining area was clean. I loved the unique twists on standard asain chicken. There was plenty of sauce on my caramel chicken, without being soupy. And the asain slaw gave it a unique upgrade.

Extremely overcooked chicken, large bits of orange peel and greasy noodles filled my big plate of food, obscuring my view of the filthy floor and deadening my senses to the raucous music overhead. Half the price and half as good as P.F. Changs.

Came to Pei Wei this evening. After standing in line for 10 minutes we order... Only to be told they have no rice. No Rice??? Really, at a Chinese restaurant? Maybe next time they can put a sign on the door. I wouldnt have waited.
