I experienced the WORST service I have ever had here. After years in the restaurant industry, I consider myself to be extremely patient, understanding, and overall very polite when dining out. When our server approached us, I greeted her with a smile and asked how she was doing, and her response was: "my name is Joanie, what do you want to drink". Knowing how stressful the service industry is, we kept our smiles and were even more polite in hopes that we could elevate her mood. Instead she continued to be inattentive and rude.. AND WE WERE THE ONLY TABLE IN THE RESTAURANT. I ordered soup as my first course and unfortunately didnt enjoy the taste, and pushed the soup to the edge of the table to let her know something was wrong. She never came back to check on us, and when she brought our next course, she ignored my untouched soup that I made clear that I didnt enjoy. At this point, I felt so unwelcome that I didnt even bother making it an issue. Then, while were still in the middle of our meal, she approached us and asked if we were together or separate, while we both still were chewing! I immediately wanted to leave. We paid our bill, including the soup I had one sip of, and left. She didnt ask us one time how we were enjoying anything, didnt show any sort of friendliness, AND WE WERE STILL NICE TO HER!!! It baffles me that shes employed. The rest of the food was delicious, (the soup was just not my thing) and reasonably priced, so I would like to come back... as long as Joanie is NOT my server.

The physical site has the same familiar "look", the menu is the same, but theres something about this location which "feels" different. Not necessarily good or bad, just different. The food was prepared very well and my family of four have had years of pleasant experiences here. At one point, however, I had a preference for the Broad Ripple location, which prepared some of our favorite menu items just a little bit differently or more to our liking. However, our last experience at that location was disappointing as we learned that it is run independently from the 96th Street location and have changed their menu and all of our food was prepared in the back kitchen out-of-sight and I found a hair in my sushi for the first time, too. But I love Naked Tchopstix so we decided to give the 96th Street location another try and found ourselves satisfied. I tried the Seared Tuna Salad for the first time. I would normally load myself with one of the multi-sushi sets, but this salads description looked good in the menu and the fact that it had asparagus and a mildly-sweet wasabi dressing sounded appetizing. I took a photo of my plate after I had eaten one of the tuna slices and so I had to rearrange the remaining four slices to make the picture look more symmetrical! The salad was delicious by the way, although, if I had to do it all over again, Id probably stick with the sushi sets because Im more into eating fish then salad vegetables.

Came in despite a few negative reviews about the service. Should have heeded the warning. Our server appeared disheveled, half asleep, and careless. I honestly would guess she may have been hungover or a little high. After getting our drinks and ordering we waited an appropriate amount of time and our 4 rolls arrived...2 of them were the incorrect roll. Turns out Emily read our order from another page of her notepad. I would have given her a pass on messing up the order if the lady 2 tables away didnt receive the wrong food as well (twice) and I overheard her say "oh, I didnt realize you didnt want that on your food." The sushi was ok, but nothing to write home about. The manager appeared as if his life was ruined for being at work. He attempted to clear a table in one trip when he should have taken 2 and dropped the entire tray on the floor. As an aside, I didnt see him actually clean any tables of which many were left dirty from previous guests. Our bill reflected the incorrect rolls that were brought to us, but was $1.00 cheaper so we didnt complain. $49 for a negative experience. We wont be returning.

Overall 4 stars might be low, but I think its a fair rating for this trendy little chain. There was no line when we arrived for dinner around 6pm on a Sunday and the parking was great. We seated ourselves and found the place to be clean and open. Our server quickly got our drinks for us and gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu. He also did an okay job at explaining the menu (not the best, but it was sufficient). The menu was good - even for vegans (not great). There were some good kid options as well, but if you have a picky eater this is probably not the place. Food came fast and looked good - it tasted good as well. Im not sure how good because the wasabi was super hot and may have confused or covered up my taste buds (but thats not their fault). We enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely go back (probably without kids). Its worth a taste. The price was a bit high- but its trendy sushi and we expected it.

Well, Id like to start off saying that I love Naked Tchopstix, theres a few waitresses there that are outstanding and Im always excited when they come to greet me- Hailey, Savannah, and a Chloe and JoLean... However; I recently came into eat with my family and we had a new waitress, Jessica I believe was her name- beautiful long brown hair. I was excited to have a new waitress, but she was terrible. She moved so slow and got our order wrong, on top of that it seemed as if she was on drugs or extremely sleepy. She wasnt very personable or happy. Then I preceded to watch her argue with the other waitress. To further this lacking experience- I witnessed the sushi chef with a pony tail and glasses yell at and disrespect the women working there. Very sad to be leaving this review. The foods great, prices are fair, and 9/10 everythings perfect. If you love good sushi, I highly recommend.

My wife and I went to this location instead of the one we normally go to in Broad Ripple simply because we were in the area. Well never go again. The sushi was average, nothing special to comment on there. I always get the Dolsot Bimbimbap. The bowl it comes in was so hot it was actually smoking. All the rice was burned black. I had to pour water in it just to cool it down enough to pick some of the unburned top level out. They also really need to have someone going around sweeping too as the floor around us and under our table was littered with food from previous guests. The table behind us had no one at it when we were seated but was covered with food, likely from kids, but it sat dirty for over half an hour. Just not a great experience all around

I come into this restaurant very often. The food is amazing. I definitely recommend trying the Mafia sushi roll. It is just the right mix of flavor and heat. If you havent tried it, you should. Your taste buds will love you for it. I Also highly recommend the Playboy roll. Its good for those that shy away from raw fish because the server will cook it for you by lightning it in fire right at the table. It is a great presentation of delicious food. BUT The main reason I keep coming back is for the outstanding service. The bartender Jessica is fantastic. She is a joy. Jessica is very personable and attentive. She practically anticipates your needs even before you know you need anything. I highly recommend checking it out. You will be happy that you did!
