China INN has the WORST customer service EVER!!!!!The OWNERS DAUGHTER and the Special helper elf they have working the front with customers are VERY rude and NASTY. I was treated with such disrespect because I was in line on my cell phone. Granted they do have a baby sign tucked near the Cash register (not in plain sight) saying something about the phone. Really she was pissed because she had to wait on me and stop talking. And wanted to use the phone as a reason to be NASTY. EVEN after I got off the phone she just staired at me really hard. I mean really? If, the phone is that much of an infraction then CHINA INN needs a HUGE sign OUTSIDE and on the WEBSITE!! BASICALLY, Pennys daughter will be the down fall of CHINA INN. People will find them out. If, her daughter and staff will do one theyll do another! Also, she and staff refused to tell me their titles or names unless I told them where I WORK!! WHAT?? Clearly, Pennys daughter and staff feel like nothing can be done about them. They basically said so "We wont get fired" the staffer Shouted as he became unhinged and telling me to just leave. Honestly I would have had to come inside the restaurant if he hadnt hung the phone up on me while trying to obtain the information I came inside to get! Overview, Penny and her daughter I have a restaurant on a college campus with a bunch of young people And minorities certain ones of them they feel like they can treat any kind of way although they are spending their hard earned money at their business. GRANTED they many have rules Im will to abide by them but I dont owe you anything and Im spending my money!!! DONT GO TO CHINA INN!!!!!

I will no longer continue to be a customer. China Inn has been a go to place for my family and I for the past 10 years and until today, the service has been wonderful. My experience today was quite disturbing and has led me to never come in again. I received my order and left. I then checked the order and realized it was not what I ordered. I went back inside and realized that all of the workers immediately looked at me. I told them that I got the wrong order and all three employees condemned me about how I was in the wrong. They continue on condemning me and eventually just place my original order. Their attitude was disgusting. I said thank you repeatedly. After my original order was ready, they called it out and simply placed it on the counter. They did nothing to address me. I said thank you loud and clear once again and they still did not acknowledge me. I have been a customer for years and have NEVER received that type of treatment. I have never even had an error like that occur before. I just felt like they looked at me in disgust. Lets say that I was in the wrong, I just simply wanted my correct order.. It was a complete misunderstanding, but the way they handled the situation was just really ugly to me... Their food is really not worth receiving their type of attitude. There are many other places I would rather go... DECENT food, but after today, I would rather recommend other places.. They have loyal customers but no loyalty for their customers..

If I could give less I would. This place is horrible. I went to get my usual. I ordered chicken dumplings. This is at night and I received the worst service possible. When I called in my order the woman was unfriendly. She said "is that all" and her voice was laced with attitude. I go pick up my food. The manager who is the owners daughter met me with disrespect as a customer. I simply asked for a remake because the woman who took my order lied and said I asked for fried when usually the option for steamed or fried is given to me. Penny (the owner) and the manager (her daughter) were both in agreement that it was all my fault. When I came to speak to penny the next morning she said "I dont care about what happened, take the money and go and dont come back cause I dont want the trouble you cause". It was the worst experience. I left and didnt plan to return regardless but do not go there. The service is not worth the food.

I called at 9:05pm to call my order in and no answer. I got dressed and drove over from Hill St. I arrived at 9:27 and the young man was turning the open sign off. I walked through the door and he walked back to the counter and proceeded to take two other patrons orders but refused my order, because he said the cooks were ready to go and had been there 12 hours. Now I tried to call my order in but he stated they stop taking orders by phone one hour prior to closing! He took their orders but would not take my order I usually eat lunch and dinner there 2-3 times a week. Same meal...Shrimp low mein and $2 extra shrimp. The total comes to 10.87. Now we as students patronize China Inn and i think we help them maintain financially? So when we go to franchised restaurants like the new ones in Cardinal Towne, they wonder why? I am a regular patron and you treat me like this?

Absolutely the best oriental food I have ever tasted. Portions are huge, and if you leave hungry, it is your own fault. Their eggrolls are super. They have the best crab rangoon on the planet, no kidding. They serve both chinese and Thai food. I personally love the spicy stuff, and they have some great spicy dishes. Bottom line. Penny, the owner, has always put her personal touch on the food, the service, and those special little things that keep my family coming back time after time. You can dress however you like, because there may be casual and dressy there at the same time. But most important, you will always leave happy. Been driving from Brandenburg to this restaurant for 25 years. Well worth the drive.

China Inn is incredible! Ive been eating here for close to seven years and have never been disappointed. From the mundane to the the exotic they do it right. Their fried rice is the best in town, their dimsum is out of this world and their specials are authentic and to die for. The owners (Ms. Penny you are the best!!!) and staff always greet me by name and seem genuinely happy to see me. I recently moved away from here but still make the trek back down to Old Louisville to get my fix. I cant recommend this restaurant strongly enough, best Chinese in Louisville hands down!

China Inn has been my go-to restaurant for Chinese and Thai cuisine for 7 years now. I am shocked that other reviews are critical of the customer service because my experience has been nothing short of excellent each and every time. They know me by name and have since the first time I entered the establishment. Food is wonderful, always hot and delicious. I recommend China Inn to any and everyone!

The food is bland and the staff is terrible. They will berate you for their mistakes and act like complete douchebags. Not only did they give me the wrong order, they scolded me and blamed me for the mistake when I wasnt the one at fault. There are plenty of other Asian restaurants near here and this one is the absolute worst. Go to Mt. Fuji or the Mongolian grill instead.
