The worst customer experience ever. I came into the restaurant and there was nobody there to greet or attend to my order. I saw a bathroom key on the counter and I had the urge to use the rest room. I went to use the bathroom next thing you know the owner of the establishment opens the door and proceeds to tell me I need to buy something before using her bathroom. Little did she know I had stood in line and waited to place an order. I dont care how good they say theyre chicken is I will never buy from them and will never recomend anyone to them. Why would I want to promote the rudest most ignorant people on the planet. Dr. Rosales

When to the E Broadway location yesterday, purchased some wings and noticed that they were selling Banana Pudding, when I got home and started to eat it noticed that there was NO BANANAS in the pudding. Called this mornin and spoke to a man who told me I had to speak to the person who makes the pudding, so I returned the call after noon today and was told that there was bananas in the pudding and I know for a FACT THAT THERE WAS NOT ANY BANANAS IN THIS PUDDING, This person got an attitude, so I will continue to go to Indies from now on, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THERE ARE NO BANANAS IN PUDDING

Hands down the best wings in Louisville. "Spicy" level is perfect... Peppery from the first bite it builds with each mouthful while not overwhelming the chicken. Smaller size wings but meaty means a manageable handful. Fried perfectly so no grease. These are dry (no Saucony unless you dunk them) with a light crispy skin. Worth going out of your way. Make sure you get some potato wedges at same heat level to go with them.

Simply put: the best fried chicken Ive ever had. The first time I went I was a bit sceptical due to appearance of the location and the styrofoam takeout box the food came in. I was found out for judging a book by its cover on the first bite. Crunchy breading and juicy, flavorful chicken smacked me in the mouth and I couldnt get enough. Any way you order it, Chicken King is the rightful monarch of fried chicken in Louisville.

This place has, by far, the best chicken in the world. I have never, nor will I ever eat a better piece of chicken than that of the chicken served to me from the undisputed "chicken king". As if that was not enough, every delectable savory side compliments the chicken in a way that should be sinful to enjoy. If you do not eat here before you die, you may never understand the true meaning of life.

Very disappointing. Definitely must have changed to a much worst place. Food was not that great and portions were miniscule. The more food I ordered the more I was ripped off. I order 12 chicken strips and got 7 chicken tenders! I ordered a slice of pie and got a piece of maybe the crust in a tiny gravy container similar to that from Dairy queens for dipping.

2 piece spicy w/ bbq beans and slaw. I just got into Louisville, and hadnt been through Kentucky in 36+ years. First thing on my mind was KF chicken. Did a google search and CK popped up with a very good review stat. I was very impressed. Possibly the best piece of fried chicken Ive ever had. And the sides were superb. Highly recommended.

Forget KFC. Forget Popeyes. There is only one place to get chicken in Louisville and that Chicken King. You cant beat the value and quality you get here. Its so good I literally licked my fingers after each piece. The chicken is so good, after I got done eating my meal, I drove home and slapped my momma.

I have never had a bad experience here. Use to go there at least 2 times a week before I moved from that end of town. Now its maybe twice a month. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a chicken lover. By far the best chicken in the city. 2 piece keel snack box is the sizzle!!!!

Definitely a must try! Everything here is delicious, from the fried chicken to the rib tips, the sides, everything. And most of the staff is very nice. Definitely would recommend over kfc, Popeyes etc. If Im really craving some Ill go out of my way to come here. Its that good!

Total disappointment. I dont give 1s unless Ive been somewhere at least three times and its just terrible. Food not good. Portions ripped off. Service, unfriendly. Im not sure who else is reviewing theses. But ratings cant be trusted.

Chicken was okay, staff was rude. I was having a cigarette out front before going in and an employee asked if I was begging customers for change. She insisted, and I felt insulted, shows what kind of clientele the chicken shack gets.

NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!! Very disappointed to pull into Louisville, HAVING PLANNED SPECIFICALLY TO EAT HERE, only to find it closed all day on Sundays. Sundays seem like an appropriate day to serve "angel farts (according to a review)."

I wouldnt let my dog eat here, our Team leader brought us lunch from here, and me and 4 others of my co workers got sick.... The potato salad tastes like it was stale and the chicken was nasty, the only good thing was the rolls

Chicken was extremely dried out and hard as a rock! I ordered mild chicken and was given spicy chicken! The potato wedges was hard as a brick and I only got a small portion for an expensive price! Not worth eating here!

OMG. Move over Indies ...I just went there today for lunch and it was soooooo good and fresh. The prices are reasonable. I ordered 2 4pc wing special and I only paid about $13.00 dollars. I will be going there again!!!

Louisville may have more famous chicken snacks, but few better. The spicy chicken is off the proverbial chain, and great deals include the 10 piece dark meat box or the keel sandwich. Did I mention they have cold beer?

Some of the freshest fried chicken Ive had. Quite a wait though, and the breading wasnt as flavorful as I would have hoped. The wedge potato fries are the best Ive ever had, the breading on them adds a unique twist.

I just ate there today, just before lunch rush. Got a 2pc breast with wedges to go, drove back home and tore into it. Spicy chicken is the best! Wedges are great also! All for $3.99 Cannot beat it, suck on that KFC!

I cant believe these reviews absolutely the worst place I have ever eaten everything taste the same as if they just use one combo of season for all even sides and ice tea taste like they used mop water to make it

Chicken and wedges are the best in the city but they definitely need to work on customer service. The guy working drive thru was rude as hell. I bet if it was out in St. Matthews, he wouldnt act that way.

Hands down the best wedges in town. Im sure the chicken is good too, but they know me as the wedge lady. They are the real deal...not those frozen variety everywhere else seems to have these days.
