This is the worst Popyee’s I ever visited. The 2 orders from drive thru were wrong. I called the restaurant to let them know about the mistake. After being handed over to 3 people on the phone, I finally reached Shelly. She offered to replace the order if I came back to the restaurant. I told her I would rather not come back out. She understood and stated for me to just bring my receipt back during my next visit and ask for "Shelly". Both orders will be replaced. About 12 or 13 days later I when to pick up the replacement order. I did what Shelly instructed me to do. The employee when back to get another person. This person stated he was the manager. I when thru the whole story again and showed him the receipt. He took the receipt and after reviewing it stated the problem was the order was entered as 2 mixed dinners instead of the all white meal and a 2 piece meal with only legs. He stated the receipt was over 10 days and I had to return to the restaurant within 10 days to get the order replaced. I stated Shelly did say this during the phone conversation, so how would I know to come back within 10 days. The manager said because it was passed 10 days he would only replace one of the meals. I told him not per my conversion with Shelly, both meals would be replaced. He then started to argue with me that how did he not know if I eat the meals. I told him I would not take the one meal and just give me the number to call Popeye’s complaint line. He told me the number is on the back of the receipt. I asked him to give me the receive back. He told me he was not giving the receipt back. After arguing with him for a few minutes about giving me the receipt back, I got into my car and drove to the drive-thru window. At the window, I asked for my receipt. The “manager” came to the window and told me he would not give me the receive. I stated I would not leave the drive-thru window unit I got my receive back. After 5+ cars stacked up in drive-thr, he sent an employee to the window to stated the receipt was thrown into the trash. I repeated I’m not leaving until I get the receipt back. Another employee came up to the window to stated the manager said he was calling the police. I said great. I will be here when they got there. After a few more minutes, one of the employees told me this was stupid. I said yes it is and all the manager has to do is give me my receipt back. She stated, if I call Popyees, they will not do anything because the “manager” was the owner. I asked why did he say he was the manager if he was the owner, but it didn’t make a difference to me. After a few more minutes, an employee came to the window with the receipt. They wrote “do not replace this order” on the receipt. I when to Popeyes website and enter the complaint. At the end of the form, it asked if I wanted someone to contact me. I checked yes. I never heard back from anyone from Popeye’s. I paid with an American Express credit card, which is the best consumer friendly credit card in the world.I was able to file dispute on the Popyeye’s charge. American Express approved the dispute and credited the money back to my card.

The chicken is wonderful by far! However, we was going here once a week and we usually get the 16 piece meal. We were not happy that most of the chicken in the 16 piece meal majority of it was wings (we thought it would be 4 pc. of each breat wing thigh leg) They told me it was a mix but I always end up with 8 or 9 pieces being wings which is not worth the money! They always forget an item or dont give you the right amount of biscuits. I called once and spoke with the owner, and he was very rude and said it was my responsibility to check my order before walking out the door! I shouldnt have to, I expect to pay the price and get my order correct! The manager also made rude comments on facebook when I made a post in the local town, he is very rude and unprofessional! The company really needs to evaluate who purchases franchises how they represent the company.

Last night I purchased 2 gallons of tea from the brand new Popeyes on State Street in New Albany, In. I was curious as to why it didnt last as long as it does when we make a gallon at home. (Granted, it IS delicious, and so is the food, but I was still curious.) I decided to measure how much the gallon bag holds. I used my measuring cup to make sure my jug was a true gallon, filled my gallon jug to the fill line, added a little color to the water, and, using a funnel, poured it into the bag. It was well beyond the fill line. I poured out enough to make the liquid reach the FILL line. I had to remove TWO AND A HALF CUPS from the bag! How can you sell a gallon of tea and fill it way less than a gallon? For the price associated with brewing tea you could easily overfill the bags and still make well over $4 for each one.

Just had lunch at the new Popeyes in New Albany. The staff greeted everyone that walked in with a loud "welcome to Popeyes". The food was hot and delicious, which is becoming rare in fast food today. Looks like the big bosses may have been in town since its a new location, they walked around asking customers how they did. They call it second mile service, I believe made famous at chick-fil-a. Well you did great and I hope it continues! I will continue eating here as long as these high standards stay in place. Update! Ok I made a second trip and things are still going well. The food was hot and good. The staff is still motivated and the do a great job communicating with each other. Keep it up Popeyes!

The food is always good. I only gave it three stars because they seem to take longer with their service here even just taking your order. Also, when I order the blackened chicken or fish I almost always have to wait anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes for them to cook it. I dont usually mind waiting especially for fresh food, but last time I was in the lady in front of me had ordered chicken in the Drive-Thru. She came into the store after waiting 10 minuted for her food and asked how much longer it was going to be and the cashier told her they had to cook the chicken fresh and it would be 15 minutes. This is something they should have told her when they were taking her order.

Visited the State Street location in New Albany today. This is my second visit to the new restaurant and both visits they have managed to screw my order up. The first time, I let it go. The second time, I contacted the store to express my concerns with the General Manager. He was very rude, sarcastic, and unapologetic. He was unwilling to address the issue and proceeded to be argumentative. I will not visit this location again as the workers are clearly incompetent and the manager is a dick.
