Last march while driving on hurtsbourne pkwy i came accross this neat looking indian restaurant. Well then i thought "now at lunch hour why not try it here". Then my wife gave an ok to give it a try. First after entering inside it was a nice welcome and suggested us to try their elaborate buffet which ranges from north to south indian foods. They were true it was excellent food and everything we had on the buffet tastes much authentic than many local places i ate in around. Based on my experiences (now 4 times) i highly recommend this place. give it a try you wont be disappointed. (ask for vijay poojary)

I am originally from southern part of India. I visited this restaurant last time and it was really amazing to see the authentic south-indian dishes available here. The menu was excellent and my favorite dishes like Onion Dosa, Rava Idly, Lemon Rice really surprised me. I have lived in several parts of US and I should really say, this is the only restaurant where I could feel "Home made" taste. The restaurant is pretty neat and a friendly welcome by the waitors made me feel good. Now I am a regular visitor and saturdays are my favorite to have a stomach full buffett... If you really want to taste south-indian food, you have two choices. Either go to south-india or to Bombay Grill in Louisville... :)

As soon as you enter the small restaurant, you are hit with the delicious spices in the air and know you have found your go to Indian place. The food is amazing! We had the vegetable appetizer and 2 different lamb dishes. It was all so tasty! Since you can pick your spice level, your food is as hot and spicy as you want to make it. Service was friendly and fast. When we asked for suggestions on dessert and mentioned this was our first time here, our dessert was sent home with us on the house and if we liked it, we were told to please come back and order it. We were both VERY pleased with our dining experience and plan to be back many times with friends in the future. Highly recommended!

The food and prices were great. The staff members were courteous and helpful. Another review says "by far the best Indian restaurant in Louisville", but I disagree. I have lived all over the country and this is one of the best Indian restaurants ANYWHERE. The variety is fantastic. The Indian music videos and movie ads were playing on a tv behind the bar. Most amusing! I love Indian food but sometimes I dont want to deal with the abrasive staff at Indian restaurants. That is not a problem at Bombay Grill! For anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine, or is trying it for the first time, I wholeheartedly recommend Bombay Grill.

We had once ordered veg biryani for a small get together at home from this restaurant.Just after 2 hrs of bringing this biryani home it got spoilt and was stinking. It was embarrassing for us in front of our guests. And whenever we went for dining we dint like the experience of eating food here.First time we felt staff is rude during buffet and they kept on interrupting us asking again and again are u done. They were not allowing us to peacefully eat our buffet lunch.Hence we thought of giving a try for dinner. To our surprise suddenly staff was very friendly during dinner time but food dint taste that well.

My family went here last night to celebrate my brothers birthday. The food was amazing and I honestly cannot ever remember having better service. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and our waiter in particular was absolutely hands-down the best server Ive ever had. We brought our toddler who can be a little challenging in restaurants, but luckily he was well-behaved and that was in part due to our wonderful waiter. I would HIGHLY recommend coming here if you enjoy Indian food and/or excellent service!

I have been to Bombay Grill many times. I have been to other Indian restaurants, but none as good as Bombay Grill. The staff are very cordial and professional. The food is Outstanding, fresh and the buffet always has a different variety of delicious dishes. My Indian neighbors go with my wife and I often and they would agree that Bombay Grill has the BEST Indian cuisine in the Louisville, KY area. It is a beautiful restaurant with great service and excellent food. That equals 5 stars with me.

So far the best restaurant in town. Although to be fair Ive only tried 3 more, but theyre the most popular and Bombay is by far the best! The buffet food is delicious and never ever seemed stale or not fresh. Ive been there for dinner and its again delicious every time. I ordered take out and the quality remains the same. The staff is nice and polite and when you order they honor your requests or preferences. Im always ready to say yes when someone suggests going there!!

I recently tried this place but wasnt blown away. Overall, the buffet is the same size and price of the others in the city. The people working there were very friendly but the food was just ok. It just did not even come close to comparing to its competitors like Sitar and Taj Palace or even Shalimar. The dessert items were actually a bit terrible, tasting just salty. The rest of the buffet was, as I stated, ok but does not come close to the other east end options!
