Primeramente el encargado de sentarnos a la mesa agarro los cubiertos q ni estaban envueltos de una canasta con sus manos y luego las servilletas. El muy amablemente nos mostró la mesa y puso los cubiertos encima d las servilletas. Para mi eso fue anti-higienico, por lo cual yo los limpie con alcohol swab q tenia en mi cartera. El mesero fue medio antipático y cuando le dije q me preparara la Margarita no tan dulce, me repitio q el syrup era muy dulce y eso ya lo sabía por lo mismo le pedí que no pusiera tanto, pero el parecía perdido o penso q me podia confundir. Jamás había probado una Margarita tan mala en un restaurante mexicano como lo fue en ese lugar. La carne asada no tenía ni sabor y El arroz sabia horrible tambien. El mesero levanto el plato de mi hija q aun tenia mitad d la quesadilla y le dije q ella aun no terminaba. En fin no sé cuantos restaurantes mexicanos hay en esa área pues estaba de visita, pero ese fue para el peor restaurante mexicano que yo he visitado. Me encanta la comida mexicana y las Margaritas, pero obviamente no de ese lugar que jamás regresare.

Im used to cooking what I like to eat, but since getting back in a truck Ive come to love google maps that help me search for a hankering and get to check out reviews before making a decision. OMG! I am so glad to have found this place a couple months ago!!! Love the asado! Im sure they have other food that is just as good, but on my one return visit, I HAD to fill my craving! In the past Ive driven extensively on the mexican border and frequented many authentic little shacks with lots of mexican "home-cooking" that Ive missed over the years, whod a thunk I could get my craving for GOOD mexican food subdued in Lexington?!? Now if only I could get back to Lexington...

I love Mexican food and maybe Ive just been spoiled by great Mexican restaurants in other towns but I have been to both locations of Jalapenos and am just not thrilled with it. I have lots of friends that think its the best Mexican food, but I dont think its better than anything you can make at home, and its a great deal more expensive. Peppers and Puerto Vallarta in Bowling Green, far exceed Jalapenos, but are of course pretty far away. I did like the salsa, its very fresh and the cheese dip was also excellent, but it was not at all what I would call great Mexican food.

Weve dined at Jalapeños on Friday nights for many years now. So, obviously we love it and so do many of our friends. The menu offers many choices and some favorites are asadas, the chicken soup, pollo Parilla, pollo chipotle, enchiladas suiza, fajitas, and especially the queso, and margaritas. Their margaritas are the best - no artificial mixes used. Very friendly long time waiters and hostesses. And, Pablo, the manager always makes sure things are right. I might add that we always use credit cards without any problems. Not sure what that comment is about.

A family style Mexican Dinner with large servings and plenty of Authentic, delicious Mexican food. One of the best of Lexington as far as I am concerned. Prices are not high and the servings are really good size. The wait staff is attentive. I reccomend the steak Fajitas but be sure and ask for extra fajita wraps. With the large servings you will need them. This review only applies to the Location on South Broadway. The new circle rd. North location has smaller servings and poor service.

Its been a while since Ive been here, but my experience was rather subpar. Your typical chips and salsa were cold, somewhat Bland. The typical taco lunch combo with rice and beans also felt bland, as the beans and rice reminded me of store bought, instant variants. However, quick service and good parking with a standard variety of choices makes this worth it if youre in and put on your lunch break.

The food is alright but there are definitely better and cheaper Mexican restaurants, I was eating my chimichanga and bite into a bone. Also there was a rather large bug on our table that we had to kill and take outside, and when we told our waiter they didnt do anything about it. Overall a terrible experience and we will not be coming back. Side not I did like their sangria.

Do Not Use Credit Cards Here. The employees will take the tip amount that you leave on the receipt and add money to it. The food is good, not spectacular, but good. But if you choose to visit the restaurant do not let them touch your credit card.

We are vegetarians and so ordered for veg. food..3 type dishes..all the dishes were too much salty to eat, we could not eat..so we are unable to decide how the food taste,,, very bad experience with food...but service and atmosphere were good..

I havent been there for a while, when I was there the last time my kabobs came with cheese even though Id requested no cheese. The responded by taking them in the back and rinsing the cheese off... obviously this is why its been a while.

My family and I really like jalapenos. Weve been going for close to 20 years and Ive never had a bad meal. The service is good and the price is reasonable. If youre looking for a good Mexican restaurant this is it.

Waiter was very attentive. Order was very satisfactory. Ordered the bacon, pablano wrapped shrimp. Was very filling with good size shrimp. Flavors are toned down a bit for the American taste but still very good.

Im sorry but the food was horrible. The rice was hard. My meat didnt have no flavor what so ever. I had steak fajitas and by far the worst I ever ate. Money wasted. Very disappointed.
