I moved to Independence in October, and Have ordered from China King at least 5 times since the move. I work from home, and was pleasantly surprised that they delivered. The first problem I had with this establishment, is that they never bring any sauces. When I asked why my order did not include soy sauce or duck sauce, I was told that they do not provide it unless requested. This to me was absurd. What Chinese delivery restaurant would not include at the very least, soy sauce. They have forgotten an entire portion of my meal, as well as delivered me the wrong item. They then forced me to drive up to the restaurant to get the correct one. Overall I was not impressed with the food itself either. I will not be giving this restaurant any more of my business. The kicker to this whole mess, is that they require a minimum of $25 for Delivery. So you end up with 2-3 peoples worth of the mediocre food. Again, this review was based over a period of over 5 months. Buyer beware.

I dont get to go here nearly enough, but whenever I do the service is always speedy and very friendly. Its not fancy food, but it tastes like a home cooked meal, so what more can you ask for? Prices are more than fair and portions are excellent. The restaurant itself seems a little rundown, but thats what happens when youre a family owned and operated business in the middle of nowhere. Aside from needing a few decorative pick-me-ups, its a very nice, clean, quiet place to catch a bite to eat. I recommend the Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoons, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Mu Shu Pork as well as the Hot and Sour Soup :)

First I got a carrot filled crab Rangoon. Disgusting. Not sure if they were trying to fool me into thinking this was imitation crab or what the funk was going on but I have a very good palate. I cook for a living. I love takeout but this was awful, the rice wasnt even cooked properly, and the fried rice was terrible crunchy no flavor and the plain white rice was gummy. The sweet and sour chicken was fresh and decent but The rest was terrible and I dont usually leave reviews but I am pretty annoyed because it was expensive.

The single worst so-called Chinese food I ever ate the chicken wasnt real it had the consistency of cooked earth worms UK.the service was terrible the price was way to high and they gave us our food in a plastic plate and our water in a paper Dixie cup and it was dirty with floaters no ice at all. Rude people running the place except a nice young boy waiting on our table he was the only good thing about the place. Dont waste your money. I should have known it would be bad when they make you pay before you eat. Lola wow how bad

I am extremely picky when it comes to ethnic cuisine and this place blew me away. Their chickens and rice are some of the best Ive ever had in any restaurant. The people are very polite, understand and speak English (although they are a very quiet group of people), and the portion size is ridiculously huge. My wife and I are usually eating this for lunch for 2 days afterward. Overall this is the best Chinese restaurant in the tri-state area as far as I am concerned. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

My dad orders their hot and sour soup religiously. Therefore I have eaten here a number of times also. I have never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and delicious. My only complaint would be sometimes the wait is a little long Im guessing due to business but Id reserved wait and it be good or be quick and terrible.

Pretty hard to screw up sweet & sour chicken the sauce wasnt good fried crab ragoon wasnt good either and I didnt touch the rice so i guess i cant say yay or nay, You all need to order from a different vendor as the one currently isnt providing good food if you want repeat business ask your customers, Prices are normal

Ive been trying to get ahold of them to place an order and no one is answering... When your business opens you start answering phones especially when you have deliveries and call aheads. It says they open at 11 online so if thats wrong they need to get that fixed

When I walked in there was a twelve year old was behind the counter and she was very timid I ordered my food and it was delicious the restaurant is very small but the food is great I never have any problems going there one of the best chinese places around

The Mongolian beef tastes like rubber and was not edible. The general Tsos chicken cant possibly be chicken. The people who gave positive reviews are either being paid for their reviews or dont know what quality food tastes like. DO NOT EAT HERE!

not sure abouts all the food but the hot sour soup is the only one around that is actually made to order and cures a cold! I actually drive 15 minutes out of the way passing other Chinese rest. whenever my husband is sick just to get the soup!

Horrible service. The Owner was so rude! The chicken tasted like it was cooked up a few days ago and then reheated. They only take CASH, shady. Was very mad when I asked for a to-go container.

Food quality has gone down hill. Egg rolls are now egg roll nuggets! Very small! Fried rice isnt fried rice its white rice with yellow color. Gonna look for a new Chinese restaurant!
