I went to Nashville Hot for the first time today. I had been looking forward to going there since l read about it moving into Austin Landing. My five year old was craving mac and cheese so we stopped in. Our smiles immediately faded when the most unfriendly food service employee Ive EVER come across in Dayton took our order. She was curt, never once smiled, and never thanked us (even though l thanked HER). The food did come out very quickly. And the woman who brought it out was very friendly and helpful. Since Id never been there before, I didnt realize we were supposed to get out own utensils so she got them for us. My one star is for her, by the way. The mac and cheese was luke warm, bordering on cold. I ate mine anyhow but my son refused to eat his. I should have not ate mine either as l got sick about a half hour later at Kroger. I cant say for sure it was the mac and cheese but I definitely know l wont be back. If Im going to pay that much money for what is basically fast food, I expect to be treated as a welcome customer and get hot, fresh food (that doesnt potentially make me sick). Ugh. Wont be back.

Ive had quite a bit of hot chicken and this was the worst Ive had. It visually looked fine at first, but I think they only used cayenne pepper to spice it, no sweetness to compliment the cayenne pepper. It wasnt hot enough to really call itself hot chicken though and hardly any other taste than the cayenne pepper to speak of. A reviewer on here says they lived in Nashville for a long time and that this is the best...umm, no? Princes is the epitome of hot chicken. As you will see from the photos, "Nashville Hot" failed to even finish cooking the chicken... $28 for what you see here... Apart from the chicken (which is all that matters at a hot chicken joint) Mac and cheese was weak, beans were ok, corn bread muffins tasted good, just too dry, sweet potato fries were good.

Finally great to have a new new unique flavor of chicken in the Cincinnati area. This place should NOT be compared to fast food chicken as everything on the menu is superior. Nashville Hots prices are a little higher than fast food but you get a lot of food for your money. If you want the same old fast food fried chicken, go to Popeyes or Richies. If want to try a new highly addictive chicken restaurant with fresh "cooked to order" food and great service, go to Nashville Hot. Also for those budget conscious people, you can honestly split some of their meals and still walk out full, especially if youre dining with kids. Im really hoping for one of these on the west side of Cincinnati in the near future.

Their food is good, but the portions for price are somewhat small. My main issue with the place is that they make it a policy to take the persons phone number, which I object to since I am simply getting a meal. The last two times I went I complained about this policy, but the cashier insisted that is what they do. I never gave them my actual number anyway because told them I did not want to do that, so I made up a fake number. The last visit I simply refused outright and told them that I can either just order and eat, or leave. The cashier put in a fictitious number anyway. I wont be going back.

2 was a great spice level for me. Chicken was very flavorful and tender. The fries were fresh and very good as well. My only complaint was there was an excessive amount of oil on the chicken. Typically, you expect some oil on friend chicken, but this looks like it was fried twice, or covered in spice then dunked a second time kinda thing. The bread underneath it was inedible because of it. The sweet cornbread was A+ Edit: I went back for a second time, and everything was spot on. Very good, and wasnt greasy like the first time.

The food came out quick, but didnt taste like it had been sitting out for a while beforehand. I got Southern Heat and she got Mild. Mild didnt really have any heat at all to it, which worked out, while the Southern Heat was hot, spicy and smoky. The baked beans were decent and were veggie beans (didnt appear to be made with bacon). The mac and cheese was cheesy, but was bland. The potato casserole was pretty decent too. Overall, we left satisfied.

I liked this place. Prices were decent and chicken and sides were ok. I give them only 4 stars because of The Eagle in OTR. Their chicken is better. It just seems higher quality and properly cooked. I liked the flavor of the chicken at Nashville Hot, but the actual chicken was a little over cooked and small. One word of warning... the top heat level "nashville hot" is VERY hot. Id say it was on par with Wild at BW3. Or at least mango habanero.

Nashville Hot is probably the best chicken place in the area. The juicy chicken they have is just delicious. The sides that they have are also amazing. I have been there multiple times and the staff there is great and they do a great keeping the place clean. The owner David is very friendly - makes sure that the costumers feel like they are home. I recommend everyone to go there and try it out.

The staff at the register was cool. But the manager and the cook got a little frustrated when I told them their chicken wasnt that good. If they going to sell Breast Quarters you should get the whole breast. They cut the breast in half. The chicken was very dark had a few black marks on it. And it wasnt nothing that would make you want to come back to it. You only want to try it just once.

first thing they told us was "were out of breasts". We decided to give the dark meat quarter a try and place the order half of us got our food on a timely manner and the others had to wait atleast 10 mins after after everyones gotten their food, when we finally got it the chicken was under cooked and blonde hair was in the mac and cheese. None of use are blonde by the way

Wonderful! Chicken is juicy, catfish is cooked just right! You have choices of heat from none to a fiery yum! If you do get your food spicy the rest assured that it isnt hot just for the sake of being hot, there is tons of flavor with the heat. The side dishes are all win and no fail (hashbrown cassarole deserves an award). Its easy to see why they are already expanding.

I have been to Nashville and had hot chicken there and to be honest I think this place is much best. The level of spice can vary by who is making so dont expect it to be exactly the same heat each time you go but the flavor is always wonderful. If you are in the mood for fried chicken you should definitely go here.

Ive been for lunch several times now. Great food! Im not a huge fan of spicy food, but Yankee Mild and Midwest Medium are both very good and not overwhelming. The food is high quality and I would recommend the place to anyone who likes fried chicken. Lots of options and your typical meal will be around $12.
