We went here for my birthday and it was such a fabulous experience. It didnt seem like it would be so lovely from looking at the outside but once you are in, it is comfortable, clean, and quiet. The service was very respectful: They were available when we needed them and kept their distance when we just wanted to enjoy the evening. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much, we looked up and were the last ones there. We discovered they had stayed open an extra 10 minutes so that I wouldnt feel rushed on my birthday dinner! Such a great staff, got to meet the chef and thank him for the experience. My parents are coming in December and I plan on taking them there for a delightful time with great food, great service, and great atmosphere!

I just had my first dining experience at Chez Yasu and of french cuisine. It will be the beginning of many! The service was wonderful, the atmosphere calming and sophisticated, but the food...oh the food. With my first bite of the nights special, Veal Picatta; I was in love. I even got to sample my partners Chillean Sea Bass special and it was equally Devine! I cant wait to come back and try everything on the menu! Thank You for this wonderful dining adventure! Im thinking next time, the seafood crepe, ...Oui!

I had the escargot. It was served in a garlic butter sauce, as it usually is, and only came with maybe 4 or so escargots. A bit salty and a bit over priced, but it was still good. Upscale restaurant, maybe a good place to take a girl you are looking to impress by blowing money on. Dont be fooled by the exterior, the inside is actually pretty nice. The bread was phenomenal and reasonably priced, I would suggest getting lots of that.

This place never disappoints me no matter how often I return. I have loved everything I have ever eaten here, including all the menu items and all the specials! I am much more willing to be adventurous in my tastes here because the chef never misses. The atmosphere is charming and classy but the place can often be packed with limited parking because of its size. Chez Yasu is the reason french food is my favorite type of cuisine!

Great food and experience. Had our 8 month old with us and had to put up with snide remarks from snobby patrons, and the baby was well behaved the whole time. She had a whole other place she could of put us away from others but ALL the staff was very nice to us and loved the baby. Knowledge of etiquette and intricacies of French Dining culture not needed. They loved that we loved their food. We will go again for sure.

Had high hopes for this place. Make sure you call ahead for seating. Make sure you check out their menu online because thats all they have for food. The food is delivered by Sysco and is fairly bland. Way too much $$ for type of food you get. Had to double check our check to make sure we didnt encounter check issues like others stated.

Nice cozy place with good, friendly service. Gave it a "3" because of check problems. I read elsewhere that people have been overcharged so I carefully reviewed my bill and sure enough found we had been double charged for wine. Go for the food/atmosphere but look for overcharges. Check your bill carefully. Probably will not return.

Wonderful find - especially in Topeka, where chains tend to be the "norm." Service here is top notch and the food was well beyond my expectations. Perfect for a date night, catching up with friends, or event celebrating with a small group.

We have been going for the last 25 years on our anniversary. It is pricey, but you get a lot of food for being French food. If you go on the weekend or in the evening, recommend calling in a reservation.

Great food and the owners are very personable. We had a great dinner there and look forward to going back. Highly recommend the escargot. Also, if it is available, the calamari is incredible.

Lonnie does an outstanding job with his food. Got to get there early to get some food, especially on Fridays (Ribs). It si bit off the beaten track but worth the extra few minutes!

You will get the best Italian food here but its very difficult to get a reservation and even when you do there is usally still a significant wait. Worth it though.
