This Californian-style ramen is marvelously flavorful and comes with a great amount of ingredients: youre not just going to get a bowl of ramen, but cabbage, meats, vegetables, and broth that will leave you tipping your bowl towards your mouth. The flavors do not hesitate, the service is with a smile, and the prices are fair considering they give you a friggin BOWLING BALL full of ramen. The atmosphere is a bit cramped, but I went on a date here and it was really cozy and intimate, despite the enclosed quarters. Just make sure that your belongings are not hanging over your chairs and it seems like youre in your own little world. The menu also includes a great amount of Fizzy soda for the children, and a good number of Asian fusion dishes from all over that region of the world: bimbabop, fried rice, etc. A choice for any type of eater, regardless of their experimental status. EAT HERE. SO GOOD.

Im like you: I think ramen I think a brick of cheap fried noodles that got me through college. Here though its quality noodles along with savory broths. Ive been here a few times and the dishes scream umami: that 5th taste that we all love. The place is very vegetarian friendly with options clearly marked on the menu. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are getting and the bowls are a full meal and then some. They do have appetizers and a nice bar if youd like something to go along with your soup. Try the ghost sauce if you dare, but NEVER touch it. Seriously. Your fingers will burn! Seating here is tight and I worry about the location since so many restaurants have failed here, but I think the concept is unique enough that they will do well especially for those looking for value.

I lived in Japan for 4 years and acquired a ramen addiction. Ive been in KS since 05 and have searched out any ramen shops in the area. Ive had a few around here and wasnt impressed. I stumbled across Ramen Bowls about a year or so ago...I feel like Im home again. Truth be told, it was better ramen than a lot of the ramen I had in Japan during my recent vacation there. Gyoza too. Ive turned a few of my co-workers on to a little Gyoza and Ramen for lunch at Ramen Bowls...now its a weekly "hey, are we going to Ramen Bowls this Friday?" Yes...yes we are. Lawrence is lucky to have Ramen Bowls. Dont miss out on this place.

From the minute you walk through the tall doors and see the comfortable yet fun atmosphere, you can smell that you are about to eat something unlike anything you have ever had in Kansas. I have made it almost through the entire menu and have quite a few "go-to" menu items now. The miso dishes are amazing, big modern white bowls filled with incredible broth just begging to be slurped up. Fresh ingredients thoughtfully added and pork that has been artfully trimmed and prepared all come together to make Ramen Bowls one of my favorite places ever.

This place is a hole in the wall. Hidden almost in the heart of mass street and 9th. Ive been here multiple times making the hour+ drive to enjoy. Quite possibly the best ramen I have ever had. The Shoyu broth is amazing and goes well with the porkbelly. The tonkatsu broth is something very rarely done well, and they have this down to a brilliant form of art. Most places dont take the time to cook this broth down. The shio and miso broth are done extremely well. I have not had a bad meal there.

I enjoyed the ramen and ordered the curry ramen with thin noodles. The curry flavor was pretty strong, but it was still tasty. I think I will try one of the classic ramen next time because the ramen that my dad and husband both got looked and tasted delicious! The servers were very nice and accomodating: we had a baby jogging stroller that we needed to fold up and tuck away in a corner of the bottom floor so that we could eat on the upper level, and the host was super nice about helping us!.

My wife and I finally stopped by here a week or so ago. I wasnt sure what to expect as far as a ramen restaurant was concerned, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and complexity of our meal. I got the fairly standard chicken ramen, and found it quite delicious. The restaurant has a bit of a cafe feel to it, so dont expect anything too dramatic or formal. The cost of a meal was very reasonable and the staff were pleasant. I hope this place continues to do well in the future.

Great atmosphere. Tables are too small but you know its a small little place. The variety of noodles and dish styles are wide enough and I believe you can have your bowls customized also. Broths are top notch. Noodles are dead on fantastic. Portioning of meat to veggies is OK on the few things I had but the amount content is high. Oh and its not just ramen bowls. The fried gyoza is perfect bar style food. Cant miss place. You have to try it!

I had the Spicy Chicken Curry Ramen last night & got sick at 2 AM & the green apple quick steps lasted 12 hours. Since I ate toast for breakfast & no lunch the Ramen Bowls caused my problem. I assume that the chicken was bad. Walt not Ann. The owner contacted me & gave me a credit. We tried again tonight. We like the food. Hoping for no complications.

Absolutely horrible ramen. Either the chefs have never had good ramen before or they think their customers wont know the difference. I lived in Japan for 4 years and know very well what good ramen of all types are supposed to taste like. Such a disappointment since Ive very much been wanting to find a good ramen place since returning from Japan.

The bowl of ramen was 1/2 the size of any bowl of ramen Ive ordered elsewhere for the same price. The noodles were undercooked. There were clumps of miso in the bottom of the bowl, so it just got saltier and saltier. The broth was unimpressive, and the mushrooms had the texture of mud (I dont know how thats possible). Pro: Good customer service!

We are not Lawrence residents but have had the chance to visit Ramen Bowls on 3 occasions! It was such a great experience..from the fun environment to the wonderful food. I would highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant. Contrary to other reviews, we found the pricing very reasonable and fair. Great place to go for dinner or lunch!

Just like the House of Cha on 9th St., Ramen Bowl has one product only, which is the same flavored noodles labeled multiple names, each with a different pricing. Ordered by a friend, the green tea offered at this restaurant is labeled "Japanese Green Tea" with a Taiwanese brand name. Rated one star however the noodles tasted good.

I didnt like it at all. The food lacks any real flavor and the broth tasted like dishwater. Large portions but the high prices. Its also like a sauna inside. Had to take my glasses off because they kept fogging up from the uncomfortable heat.. Only good part was the waiter kept my glass of water full without having to wait long.
