I hadnt been to Red Lobster in years, but my mom had a gift card and I love seafood. I have to say we were both quite disappointed with the food (and drinks). We decided to share the the lobster, salmon and shrimp, which looked like a huge plate of food on the menu, and got an additional soup (lobster bisque)/salad lunch order. I was quite disappointed in the lobster bisque. It basically was a beer cheese soup with a few scraps of lobster. Not like any other lobster bisques Ive had, which are a buttery cream sauce. When we got the entree of the lobster, salmon and shrimp, I almost told our waitress it wasnt what we ordered. It was half the size as the picture made it seem and we literally didnt see the the lobster, but discovered it was so tiny that it was covered by all the rice. The salmon was also half the size as pictured and was a overcooked and too greasy for my taste. My mother also had a cocktail, which was way too sweet for her to even finish. This wouldnt have been a bad meal except for the price. I could have paid the same amount of money or less for a better quality fish or seafood at a higher end restaurant. My advice, go to Bonefish Grill or Waterfront instead.

Okay, so..this location is awful! I probably ordered more than 100 times of the same food at different red lobster locations, of course because I love red lobster..But this place is plain awful! My bay harbor lobster bake taste terrible,. I was gonna ignore the bad customer service weve had but then all of our food was not worth any penny, they messed up,. To begin with the girl that seated us looks so unhappy, grumpy and very unwelcoming, then we got seated to a table that has no forks or spoon etc. we then asked for them and was given only two when we needed four for our two kids..they did not even gave us our kids their waters, plus no napkins after we asked a couple of times for them..this restaurant is NOT worth YOUR HARD EARNED money! They need to stop messing up, and acting horrible people to be serving or working in a restaurant..

Believe it or not, this was the first time I have ever been to a Red Lobster. It was not a good experience and I do not think I will be returning. Ill stick with Olive Garden or one of the steakhouses owned by this company. My girlfriend and I went for a random cheap date night. The service was a mess even with the restaurant being at half capacity or less. Quick highlights: cheddar biscuits were not brought out at the start of the meal, the waitress forgot my drink and brought it out 5+ minutes later, my food seemed poorly prepared and not flavorful (steak was pushing past medium well when I asked for medium rare and the lobster was tough and chewy). Not worth the $60+ that we spent.

Forgive my ignorance, but this Red Lobster location has shown me that the chain is in lots of cases, OVERRATED! I have visited some (PHX, AZ; CHI, IL; IND, IN) and have had decent experiences. But, this one!?! I order salmon dinners with a salad and soup for one for about $40-something. My next visit, I attempted to order similar and the price was a little over $50. The bartender was ringing it up ala carte as if I was ordering drinks drunk and wasnt paying attention! I was paying attention. I asked him if that was the best total for the food? As he affirmed, I gave the bartender a $5 tip and made my decision not to order the food then or at any other time in the near future.

I love endless shrimp. I wait all year long for this event. West des moines red lobster has ruined it for me. I am literally sitting at my table writing this review. We have to wait at least half an hour for refills and its wrong each time. Our poor waitress she is doing what she can. Told her manager about the situation, he finally comes by and he gives us the food (surprise surprise its wrong) i tell him its wrong promises to come back..never does. He didnt even apologize or anything for the wait. The waitress cares more than the manager and gave us free deserts. I know the endless shrimp promotion is hectic, but this is ridiculous!!

THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH ! went to this establishment last night will NOT go back ! i love sea food and was looking forward to a great meal... didnt happen :-( from the commercials that you see on t.v. the meal looks big and juicy. but what i got was the old bait and switch i ordered the seafood feast and got a TINY lobster tail, barely warm crab legs (only 3 scrawny legs) scampi was a bit light on the sauce but the potato was done to perfection! which is what my meal basically consisted of . the wait staff was not very responsive and it will be a very long time before or if i ever go back

One hour wait from seating to main course delivery. Server did not stop by to refresh bevs for the longest time. Biscuits did not arrive until salads were long eaten. When food came it was cold and dried out. Sent it back. Replacement was good, but again, long wait. Restaurant comped meal, but I would rather pay and have a good experience. Arrived at 1PM. Didnt get out of there until 3. Excuses included corporate rearranging kitchen, kitchen behind etc...This has been a favorite stop for us. No more. We will drive to Ames.

We love Red Lobster! West Des Moines restaurant is our favorite. Weve gotten to know some of the staff so its like seeing friends when we go for our seafood fix. Food is excellent and service is always top notch and friendly. Always get recommendations of our servers favorites and new items or specials. Even get personal attention from the managers on duty. Just dont see that in most restaurants. Appreciate that they care that much to make sure youre enjoying your experience. Keep up the great work!

TODAY I VISITED AND THE HOSTESS WAS REALLY NICE AND POLITE. MY WAITER WAS REALLY NICE AS WELL, MY FOOD WAS HOT AND FRESH. I HAD ONE COCKTAIL THAT WAS GREAT AS WELL TO TASTE. IM GIVING THIS PLACE FOR STARS BECAUSE..... IT SAYS UNLIMITED BISCUITS, I DONT KNOW BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY ARE SLOW WITH GIVING YOU ANY. UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST RED LOBSTER IVE VISITED WHOM DONE THE SAME THING. COME ON RED LOBSTER YOU KNOW WE VISIT FOR THE GREAT "CHEDDAR BISCUITS".

Had a hair in my food. I didnt make a big deal out of it but was shocked when at the least a free dessert was not offered. I ate the half of the plate that wasnt tainted then waited until they finally brought the rest of my fresh untainted pasta out. Nothing on the server just poor work by the manager by not extending some kind of comp for serving a bad plate of food. Maybe Im a small town up north guy but this is kinda common place from what my GM friends tell me

took my mother-in-law for dinner. had a 1 hour wait. Decided on drinks at the bar and watch some of the game while we waited. We were kicked out of a "Bar table", which was empty when we came in, so they could seat more people for dinner. When I questioned the help, the snot nosed kid told me there are more TVS at the Cheesecake Factory. However, the Manager did seem a little concerned when we related the story and he did give us 20% off our dinner bill.
