I went to Panera at noon on a Wednesday it was busy (which is expected in the business district) After the friendly cashier took my order I went around the corner and saw there was a huge line of people waiting for the food. (reason is still unclear to me) The workers were very friendly and kept apologizing and stating that they were about twenty minutes behind. A lady who had ordered about ten minutes after me became very rude and pulling workers off the line to see where her food was. Then demanded to speak to a manager, have her food right away and a refund. All of the staff is still remaining very friendly to this lady and they give her exactly what she wants. Putting the rest of us patient customers even farther behind. The women then storms off without even a thank you. I want it to be noted that although this Panera was unusually behind they handled it very very well. I got my sandwich later then expected, but it tasted great!

I go to this location quite often and have never had any issues. Today when I went they were were extremely busy and everyone was waiting 20-30 minutes for their food, whether they ordered ahead or not. I could tell all the employees were moving as quickly as possible to make up for whatever had caused the delay so I took my place in line and waited. Several people in the store were incredibly rude to whatever employee they saw and one woman repeatedly went to the counter to complain, and continued yelling at an employee even after he explained that he was part of the delivery team and wasnt on the food line. Throughout this, every single employee remained calm, cheerful, and perfectly polite. I was very impressed and will most likely go to this location more often now.

Ordering online was always so efficient and my order was always right. The last 5 times or more that Ive gone, my order was inaccurate and poorly put together. I go on my breaks at work to pick it up so I dont have time to go back and wait for something new. Its very stressful to see on my receipt that my order has been double checked, when clearly what was on the receipt was not in the bag. Seems like they are always out of something when I go to pick up what Ive ordered online and its very disappointing when Ive already paid. Very unhappy with the way the employees have been handling the food and accuracy of orders online. I love Panera, but I wont be going back to the downtown location for a while.

I never learn, inevitably every time I go here the staff is unkempt, like they just dragged themselves out of bed, I know its not the most luxurious place to work at but come on put a little effort into how you look especially when youre dealing with food. BUT what I cant handle is for the last couple times Ive ate or drank from here Ive gotten sick to my stomach, needless to say they may not be very sanitary, appearances in this case are not deceiving. Will not be going back.

This urban Panera is at street level but also just down a flight of stairs from Des Moines skywalk. Their soup, salads and sandwiches are all good. They bake in each store every night, efficiency. Large dining room, rarely any difficulty getting a table. Free WIFI and plenty of places to plug in.

Love it hear. The employees here are very kind and respectful to all the guest and the food is excellent here. I also love the positive vibes of this place when just sitting and relaxing while either waiting on your order or eating and drinking the meals you have ordered here.

One of the best Panera Breads I have been to, ever. The staff are super friendly and the culture is very positive. They have always been kind to me and responsive to my needs as the consumer. I would highly recommend them as a great place to visit for that workday lunch.

They are speedy when you choose online rush pickup, set your actual timer 5 minutes past their 15 minutes and youll be there right before your food comes to rush pickup. If your coming for a seat at the lunch hour, expect 15 minutes before your order is placed out.

Impossible to park anywhere near this place. And they dont deliver. You are going to need to be close if you are eating breakfast or lunch here. And they forgot my cookie I had in my order. But its Panara, you cant really go wrong with the place.

Their food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and fast. There is a very large seating area with windows all the way around. There are tables, bar tops, and even comfortable chairs, depending on what fits your mood. Also, free WiFi!

The person ringing, Sandy was really nice. Other than that service was bad and the food was worse. Waited 15 minutes for a parfait and it ended up being Sandy who brought it out because the others just set it down. Incredibly frustrated.

I eat here regularly as they have options to fit the diet and taste of nearly anyone. Good size portions and very healthy menu items along with classic bakery and bagel items. Try the You Pick 2...I love a soup and salad combo.

The lady taking my order didnt bother to ask me whether it was for here or to go. She put it in as to go when I wanted to eat here and avoid the cold. Also, my french onion soup does not have cheese or bread cubes in it.

Great location downtown, on the corner of 10th and Walnut. Great place for meetings, reading, or just taking advantage of the wifi. Gets busy around noon for lunch but staff is friendy and quick with service.

My only complaint about this Panera is finding parking and that is just going to be due to the location that it is downtown finding non pay parking at 8 in the morning
