I was going to rave about the bagels and coffee, but my review is about customer service. Excellent customer service from 5 Borough Bagels in West Des Moines!!! I ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and iced coffees to go and when I got home noticed I had the wrong sandwich order. Toney had already tried to track me down by FB and when I called, as soon as I said my name, he knew why I was calling and said our next trip in was on him. Well, we stopped in today, again all I said was my name and he knew exactly what our order was! Ive never had that kind of customer service, ever! If you havent tried 5 Borough Bagels, you have to because the bagels & drinks are the best in town and the customer service might be the best in the nation! PS - We had the Breakfast deluxe and Lox deluxe on Biali bagels!! Both were excellent! My daughter says the Iced Oost (frozen blended coffee) is better than Starbucks. Thank you Toney, we will be back.

Local bagel place with more than a wide variety of loaded sandwich/dessert/whole grain bagels. They have coffees, lattes, donuts as well and what I like about this place is everything I try tastes very fresh and very high quality. Ive never been a huge bagel person, but I could honestly see coming here semi regularly because its just that good. I met one of the owners who works there most days, she and her staff are exceedingly friendly warm people.

As New Jersey natives, we have high standards for bagels. 5 Borough Bagels did not disappoint. The bagels were nicely dense and chewy, and the bialys were excellent. (Weve never met anyone outside of New York / New Jersey who had ever heard of a bialy.) They offer a nice variety of cream cheeses and sandwich fillings, and the espresso machine is an added bonus. We have yet to try their fresh-squeezed orange juice, but we will definitely be back soon.

Bright, trendy and clean interior. I had a lox bagel, which was delicious! Only complaint: its very bright and lacks coziness in here. Too much white paint and white light. If I were Tony, Id take some of that green from the checkered wall and paint the walls behind the counter to bring some sense of closeness. The feel is the opposite of claustrophobia in here, like being suspended in infinite white lit space.

OMG Vegan Cream Cheese! Only restaurant in town with this! They make all their cream cheeses from scratch, with 2 vegan options that are amazing! Besides the cheese flavors, most bagels are vegan. Great local bagel/coffee shop. Their sandwiches are amazing too, with options for everyone. The staff is super friendly and genuine. They try to get to know their customers and know the regulars by name.

Their bagels are awesome! Lots of choices for bagels and cream cheese flavors. I took the suggestion of others and went with the sriracha bacon cream cheese...so good! I also ordered one of their specialty lattes, which was decent but nothing special. They also have free wifi, so its a great place to sit and work for a while. I will definitely be back.

The food is delicious and the owner is really friendly. The first time I ate here, I ordered online (via app), and when I arrived to pick up my order, she greeted me by name. Moreover, I think this environment is great for business meetings between two or three people. I havent tried their beverages yet, but they look really good.

Cool hip vibe. My first time there and had the Brooklyn bagel. Tasted great. I only didnt give 5 stars because the first 2 bagels I wanted were out of stock. But it tasted great on the "Everything"
