4-27-2010 My husband went thru the drivethru at Meijer and after entering the area which is small and conjested. Flowers for seasonal sale are displayed close to the drive thru. My husband accidentally hit the display damaging the car and made a report to the Store Director,Debra who thought the situation was funny and said it was not her fault before she even saw the accident area. My feeling is it only takes one person to hit it for it to be a problem. Store staff did not fill out an incident report and now we have to pursue this situation with the store manager because the Director in charge Debra was unprofessional and out of her league. She said my husband was to upset to take a statement from. Probably because he was being laughed at. And that property damage occurred and they were not taking responsiblity for it. If it is not a permanent structure then it is their responsiblity to correct the problem and pay for the damage. I never liked the Muncie location and always shop at the Meijer in Anderson. Nicer store smarter managers.

Ive been to the Muncie location twice in the last few weeks and noticed there has been a definite reduction in the number of cashiers. The first trip, early in September the store was very busy. Once I reached the checkout, there were only three cashiers working and the lines were all long. I waited a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes . Last night, Saturday Sept 19th, I also stopped by Meijers. When I got to the check out there was one employee working the registers, a new employee in training. I stood in line for 20 plus minutes before finally getting through the check out. I dont know if the intent is to try to drive customers to use the "self serve" check out in an attempt to reduce costs and add to the bottom line but for those who dont want to use it, I feel like this action will only lead to driving customers to your competitors and have a negatvie effect. This is just a heads up for the management of the Muncie location. You have a great store.. but lately the service level at checkout is much less than expected and unacceptable.

There arent exactly a ton of choices around here, so Meijer tends to be my go-to. They have the best produce selection/quality that Ive found in Muncie. Their prices are reasonable, and (for the most part) their generic brand items are decent. I also really like that they have a better-than-average selection of not U.S. specific food and special-diet-friendly food sections. Though, they kind of have a terrible electronics section. So its definitely not a one-stop-shop.

Love meijer sales, normally hate meijer service. Worth going to for good sale weeks, but Ive been told off by cashiers/front managers for having multiple orders. Sorry I shop for other people, too, I guess? (Admittedly, the issue was because one of the orders was using coupons, and their policy says no multiple orders to avoid coupon restrictions. Which, one order with coupons used people, not avoiding anything, Im just cheaper than my in-laws who I was also shopping for)

My youngest daughters first birthday was coming up and I would have no clue what cake I would have for her birthday when I went to Meijer Bakery in Muncie Indiana I saw that they could take cupcakes and make them into any shape and Design I needed since my one-year-old like rubber duckies we have them make a custom cupcake cake we were so pleased to find this well made cake I was in tears

Meijer is the best grocery store around, hands down. Employees are friendly and helpful. Selection is excellent. Prices are good and sales are strong and reliable. The stores are always clean, well lit, and feel modern. Aisles are wide. Produce section is superb. I have been bringing my business here for many years and will continue to do so in the future. What else can I say?

Not the typical check out today. Utilized self scan. Self scan Employee talking with person in front of me, making my departure last longer. Had three issues at the register itself, one asking for weight of towels purchased (this happened once before). Issues were not quickly resolved as employees were still talking in front of their booth.

Nicest bathrooms Ive seen among any Meijer or Walmart. 1 ply toilet paper. Very spacious and easy to find in store. The produce section is huge with a wide variety of foods, some Ive never even heard of before, seriously what is a bumpy cucumber? The lobsters are fun to watch for kids and kids at heart. Kids can still enjoy the penny horse.

Chad-- I just called to ask the same question and got right through; going through an automative assistance program is somewhat annoying but the representative at the customer service desk was very nice to me over the phone and gave me the prices. If you still havent found out, or anyone else is wondering, its $30.99 for one adult, one day.

Visited pharmacy. I have diabetes & high cholesterol and am prescribed both Lipitor and metformin. They give away generics of these two drugs! Of course, that means I buy another prescription there that is problematic to get through my insurance mandated mail order pharmacy rather than going to a different local pharmacy.

Watch them at the cash register, u will have to correct them ringing up the prices, 3 out of four sale items will not be right at the register, guarantee it, they depened on u not catching it, they make more money and thats after they hang a sale price on it and have maneuvered u inro buying it.

Meijer is my preferred place to shop in Muncie. It has a great selection and comparable prices to wal-mart. The produce, deli, and bakery seem to have just a slightly higher quality compared to wal-mart as well. The employees I have interacted with at Meijer also sell the store in a good way.

I enjoy shopping at Meijer, and their prices are generally competitive with Walmart and especially Marsh. The far northwest location of the store, however, is inconvenient for anyone without a personal automobile; Muncie Indiana Transit (MITS) buses do not stop at Meijer.

Pharmacy is slow. You have to wait in line forever whether you drive-up or go inside. In the regular part of the store you have to wait in the checkout line forever also. Never enough checkout cashiers and even have to wait in line to do self-checkout most of the time!

Im not big on the large super store grocery experience, but this Meijer is well organized, clean, and has wide aisles. Terrific selection of produce, meats (including lamb!), and gluten free options. Fun world foods aisle, too.

Its setup is similar to a walmart/ target super center. Not a bad one-stop shop. Meat/Seafood and produce is decent. Closer to interstate but not as conveniently located if you are downtown or on the south side of Muncie.

Great prices and they had lots of staff around to help today. Plus, almost all lanes were open at the registers! Also, saved over $12 just with mperks, not counting all the savings with sales.

Main complaint - you have thirty plus checkout lines, but rarely are more than 10 ever open, regardless of the number of people waiting in line. Otherwise just your normal big box retailer.

Some things on sale were out of stock. Disappointing. However, at the check out a head cashier was out at the cash registers directing customers to help speed the check out process.
