I wish google reviews had a dislike button. Thats exactly what they would get from me at this Panera bread location. If you know anything about Middletown , KY , its a very prestigious part of Louisville. This Parena just DOES NOT BELONG here. They constantly get my ordered wrong , and the portioning is always short. Im seriously starting to think that it is a management issue because IVE NEVER HAD SUCH BAD EXPERIENCES AT ANY OTHER LOCATIONS IN LOUISVILLE. Every single time I order a Napa valley chicken salad sandwich , you get a small spoon full of chick salad with 3 slices of tom and the biggest piece of lettuce they can find. Basically your paying for vegetables and bread. Panera should set a higher standard for their employees and their customers. Ive had to complain about this issue several times to the manger and if you dare say something to the chef about the portioning be prepared to get a dirty look. But now that Im seeing that several other people have had the same issue with this same location , it has to be a management issue. Looks like someone is cutting corners for their own benefit, well news flash OWNER OF PANERA BREAD IN MIDDLETOWN , your customers are starting to notice. Thanks a lot for shaming one of my favorite restaurants.

My husband and I love Panera and like to eat at Panera 2-3 times a week. We live close to the Middletown location and our preference is to eat close to home. We are disappointed every time by the portion size at this ONE location. For the two of us we usually spend about $24, and leave hungry every time. We always select the PICK TWO - for me a salad and soup, and for my husband a salad and a sandwich. Several times I have taken my salad back because it literally has 3 or 4 pieces of lettuce and a few toppings, and asked if this is their portion size? The last time, I just asked for a little lettuce in a side container so I could add to my TINY salad. It just made me feel better about eating the salad. The chicken noodle soup is usually all broth with maybe 3-4 noodles in it in total. My husband often laughs about his Italian Combo Sandwich, because the meat is very, very minimal!! I believe Panera corporate needs to consider this complaint and correct the portion size served at this particular location.

This store is an absolute joke when it comes to online ordering. The customer service is deplorable. I make sure when I order I choose the Ready in 10 minutes option and I have a 30 minute drive to work so that gives them more than ample time. But no. 1 out of every 3 visits they have "no idea" where my order is. "Are you sure you ordered it online at this store?" Im asked by the air-head brunette at the front who stares at me blankly instead of going to see the history of the online orders or ask anyone. She just stands there. Every. Time. Like I will just say "Oh okay" and leave. Two visits in a row they have missed my cream cheese and then argued with me about it! Even when I show them its on the ticket. I work within 2 minutes of the building and I order bagels every Tuesday but this store has completely lost my business. What a joke. Seriously the bagels are already made, they have a machine that slices them and all they need to do is toast them.

This location dropped the ball in a couple areas. The cashier forgot to give me my bagel and acted confused when I asked for it later. They gave me the wrong soup and blamed the ticket being wrong...it wasnt. They also left the bacon off my sandwich. My daughter got a grilled cheese. They cut both halves before assembling it and but it back together with the cuts going opposite directions so I had to pull apart gooey cheese so my daughter could eat it. When I got a high chair out for my daughter I knocked down the broom and dust pan they had stashed between the stacks of high chairs. They also only had one person taking orders while the line continued to grow. Small details? Yes, but added together it really appeared they didnt have it all together.

This location is close to my work, so I usually go through the drive-thru or use the rapid pick-up. The food is what youd expect from Panera - always tasty, however this location just about always makes a mistake in my order. Not just once or twice, but more times than not. I usually get the French onion soup with extra croutons. I usually get either the normally TINY bag of croutons, or sometimes none at all. On my most recent visit, I received extra croutons, but the baguette was missing. If you dont mind waiting for them to correct their mistakes, then its a fine place to eat.

I love Panera Bread Co. But this location disappoints on a regular basis. Today I ordered a Spinach Bacon Souffle and a coffee with cream and sugar, at the drive in window. As i paid and received my order, I asked does this (the coffee) have the cream and sugar in it. The young lady, who had minimal customer service skills, shook her head, yes. Well, as I drove away and checked my order the bag had the souffle, ONLY. Not a napkin or fork & knife. Just the souffle. And my coffee was black. No cream, no sugar. There are other places to spend my money.

Very friendly and fast, but the portioning is usually terrible. I ordered a Salmon Croissant Sandwich around $12 and it cam with a 2in by 1.5 in piece of salmon on a HUGE croissant. Dont get me wrong it was YUMMY. But could have been portioned better. This is not the only time Ive thought theyre portioning was a bit off. I ordered a Tomato Mozzarella Panini and it was pretty much just bread. I LOVE Panera and was so happy to have one near my work...Can we please make this restaurant up to par with all the others!

First of all, I love Panera Bread.. My husband & I ordered our meals. from this store. He had the"new" Turkey, Crandberry Flat Bread Sandwich with French Onion Soup. The sandwich had six small squares of turkey, no lettuce & three cranberries. The soup was without cheese but had a bag of crutons. Very disapppointing. Someone needs to check into how to serve or make the meals.

Love Panera! This one seems to always be out of bagels, and DARE you be 1-minute past breakfast cutoff... you will not get what you want. Staff is hit or miss... some have been really rude, some have been nice and helpful. Restaurant is well designed, just gets super-busy. Weve gone and couldnt find a seat anywhere... that can be annoying.

Food has been repeatedly prepared inaccurately when making customizations. To-go salads are only a half full container. If I pay $9 for a salad, please make sure its a full size. I love the food, but if they cant get my order right, then it takes away from it. It has been 5 bad lunch experiences in a row this summer.

Recently discovered this Panera Bread store in Middletown. Really like the layout and design. Friendly, helpful staff, and the food is delicious as with the other stores Ive visited (J-town and St. Matthews).
