I decided to try this place after finding out it exists about a week ago. I saw the other reviews and was a little scared to eat at this place. I walked in and was greeted by a very nice and beautiful lady. I started by going to the mens bathroom to wash my hands. I was turned off by the bathroom. For it to look so unkempt when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant was unexcusable. After washing my hands I pressed the button for the dryer and my hand stuck to it. I had to rewash my hands and used the paper towel to dry hands and open the door. The dining room was very nice and clean and organized. Now as for the buffet, everything that I ate on the buffet was delicious. I have to give it to them that the food was fire. The only negative about the buffet was the salad bar was almost nonexistent, there was no bread on the buffet when there was clearly a placed marked on the buffet for that item. The dessert bar was pretty pathetic. Even if they added quick stuff like jello or pudding, it would give customers more choices. The price paid was $13.99 which wasnt bad but if I went to Old Country buffet or Golden Corral, the choices would have been much larger. I will return but I hope that they will do better with the restroom. The bathroom tells a lot about how things look behind the scene. Something like that only takes a few minutes every hour hour to maintain. What I thought was really nice was that a man came in to get a "to go box", he asked for fried chicken legs and when none was on the buffet, she offered to cook them if he was willing to wait. That is going above and beyond for good customer service. I did walk to the register and tip the lady who cleaned my table and worked the register. I would have given it a 5 star if not for the bathroom and lack of missing items on the buffet.

I got a Groupon for this place decided to give it a try. I went about 2 PM thinking I was going to miss the church rush, it was busy but I was able to find seating. Went to buffet and checked out. They had a lot of choices but a lot of the food was empty. I dont know if I had just missed a rush or what. As for taste, the rib tips were amazing! House made sauce and all. Chicken was salty. Sides were ok. I was hoping theyd be more homemade. The potatoes were definitely instant. I dont know if Id do the buffet again, but I wouldnt hesitate to go back for the ribs. I really enjoyed those! I do agree with a lot of the reviews the floor was sticky and you can feel your shoes sticking to it. Also it would be nice if they provided more napkins or maybe wet nap since theyre serving barbecue ribs, just an idea.

We were so excited about this place until we walked in. There was a worker sitting on the counter while another was running back and forth, grabbing food off the buffet. Food was cold, salty and ribs were tough and burnt. Mashed potatoes were salty as was the mac n cheese. Greens were too stems, dressing was dry and salad bar was wilted. Desserts looked old too. Employees stood against the wall laughing and staring at you as you got your food, very uncomfortable feeling. The girl from Kennys was taking orders as she talked on her Bluetooth and while snatching items off the buffet. The guy working the BBQ grill had a girl just standing there with him laughing. It was a very disappointing, not too mention expensive experience. I will not be visiting again.

Saw their ad in the FamilyFlyer and decided to give them a try. I arrived around 3:30pm on a weekday. Positives first. Staff was friendly, waitress got a drink for me and was pleasent. The aroma of BBQ was wonderful. Food, edible. Ham hocks good. BBQ sauce VERY good. I got my moneys worth. Negatives last. Mashed potatoes were too damp. Stuffing too damp. Most of the buffet items seemed to be made with too much water added. Rib tips were very gristly with very little edible meat. Much of the rib meat was dry and the consistency of jerky, but I was able to get a little bit of edible rib meat here and there. The owners should sample their own food. If they did, maybe theyd make some changes.

We got there as soon as the place opened and expected hot fresh food...thats exactly what we didnt get! The deserts (4 different cobblers) were horrendously dried up..the chicken was dried up, the ribs were so hard I couldnt even bite through. The soup was MIA, the corn bread was so dry it crumbled when I pulled a piece out of the pan. The salad was old and dark and the bottled salad dressing was cheap. The only thing good about this place was the neck bones and greens. The price was 12.50 a person and I was so excited to try it, super huge let down!!!! The other desert was canned fruit cocktail and soggy blue jello. Let down big time... Id rather eat these ramen!

"This the type of stuff that pisses me off" was the first thing I heard when I approached the buffet. The cook went on to complain about people coming in a 8pm, an hour before closing. Which I actually arrived at 7:40pm but this was not a pleasant or welcoming thing to hear. Then, all of the deserts were removed by 8:15pm. Also after my waitresses initial visit she did not return to my table. Instead sat eating and conversing with co-workers the whole time. The food was actually tasty. The overall experience tho, was not great

One of the few soul food places you will find in NWI. They have great collard greens, mac n cheese to die for, fried chicken like grandmas, rib tips that are tasty, and so much more that I am getting hungry now. If your looking for a buffet that has a little bit of everything southern this is the place. The only bad thing is that it is a small buffet. Great thing is that the food taste so delicious. By the way I love their old school through back music it just goes with the food.

I cant really complain about the quality of the food (except the cornbread, no flavor at all). But for $17 (including a drink) it was certainly not worth it. There is hardly any variety. Unless you consider 4-5 different beans "variety". The chicken was really good and the turkey was so-so. If this was priced around $10-12 then it would be a different story. But when you charge roughly the same amount compared to Golden Corral with about 1/6th of the variety? No thank you.

The place was pretty dirty for not being open too long. Needs a good cleaning for sure. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. There was no BBQ out, no soup out, dessert of any kind (we were told it was in the over even though they had been open for a couple hours), and no rib tips (which is kinda the whole point). Despite the buffet not having what was advertised, it was still full price. The staff didnt seem interested at all in the costumers.
