My first time at Tiffins was with the boss and co-workers for a company lunch. During that day, there was a lunch buffet, so we got to try many different types of dishes, and, of course, as much as we could eat without having to be rolled out the front door. As a result the workday afterwards was extremely unproductive due to food coma. For not being too familiar with Indian food, I was glad to try a little bit of everything for sampling. Everything was very delicious and flavorful, so I definitely have gone back a few times. Once however, I did notice that the watermelon tasted very much of onion. The cooks obviously were using the same knives to chop up all the ingredients along with the fruit. When we mentioned it to the waiter, he didnt seem to care.

We dont come to Devon that often, but heard about this place from some friends. So we tried it out for a Friday lunch. Worst Indian food I have eaten in the US, I thought Sizzling India in Peoria, IL was bad. The buffet was $10.00 pretty normal ... 3 veg selections and 2 non-veg and everything was bad. The lamb smelled and tasted bad as if you had thrown pices of meat in watered curry. The chicken didnt seem fresh , the veg curries were so watered down that the plate we served ourselves in, was a big soup bowl. Finally after the eating ordeal when we got to the dessert, Gulab Jamun, they were rock hard, as they were heat treated. Note to self - "Tiffins definitely a NO NO" Places that have turned out great for us everytime - Gaylords and India House.

This is a crappy restaurant. I went to buffet lunch there. The food quality was ok, but there was a quite a few items. The food prices are quite high compared to other nearby restaurants. During my lunch, they were out of both lamb curry and chicken curry, and then I had to wait 30 minutes to get those foods. The behavior and attitude of the stuffs in this restaurant was very rude and unfriendly. Therefore, I didnt give tips during my payment. Unfortunately, the manager was asking me why I didnt give any tips and then he was almost forcing me for tips. Seems like Tiffin is run and owned by Indian beggars. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

The food was OK though they did not have as many variations, unlike other Indian restaurants. However, their terrible customer service ruined my lunch experience. After finishing lunch with my colleagues, they brought the bill for the whole table. When we asked them to split the bill, they furiously responded that we should have informed them initially, and they cant do it because "it takes too much time". Unfortunately, most of us did not have cash to reimburse one another after one person paying the bill, so we had to argue for half an hour over the bill. They finally split the bill after so much time was wasted. :-/ So much for customer service.

From the moment you walk in the door you are treated like a special guest here. The dining room is comfortable and well-apppointed with plenty of space for larger groups as well as being intimate enough for a date night. The service staff is excellent. Everything that I have had on the menu was well-prepared and delicious. I also recommend their weekend lunch buffet which is a good value. But even ordering off the menu, the prices here are reasonable. I always leave this spot with a very happy food buzz! If youre looking for top-notch classic Indian fare, this should be your go-to spot.

Today I went for lunch buffet . To my surprise most of the chairs were empty in the prime lunch time . I started with dosa and it was average , not a typical South Indian flavor . Naan , bindhi , tantoori was good . Lamb curry was disgusting and not worth a try . Briyani was raw and very cold . Only two deserts Gulag jamun was average and rice kheer was not sweet .customer service was good though . Not worth the money when comparing the nearest options . $13 was little too much for the variety and quality of the food .

Food is good. We did not eat the buffet we were told by many that the buffet is not good. We had jafferize something it was delicious. It was spicy and amazing. We had jade and pearl and dal makhani. The dal makhani was good and a great comb with jafferize. I also had the shahi paratha and it was amazing. Food was amazing! Except the buffet. My dad had that and I tried the gulab jamon and it was rubber so we did dessert somewhere else.

The worst restaurant, the worst food, the worst service ever...I wish I could have given a negative rating here. Unfortunately, the lowest rating here is poor. Well, I have had poor food before, but we have to come up with a whole new word for the kind of food and service we were tortured with. To the management: See what crap you serve people in the name of food. To the waiters: Learn to smile. To the chefs: Learn to cook.

Very good Indian food. Cant put my finger on whats holding it back from 5 stars but there were a few things that werent outstanding (good but not outstanding). The service - pretty good but not great. We had to flag our waiter down on several occasions. The dishes, while very flavorful, were not too big. Overall, wed go back for sure... but we would also want to try a few more on Devon to see what else is out there.

We came for dinner on a weeknight and were the only diners in the restaurant, so at first we were a little concerned, but the food was delicious and the service was great. Had the Rogan Josh, Chicken Makhani, and Malai Kofta, as well as some garlic naan. There are so many options for Indian food on Devon, but this is one place I would definitely return to.

Went on Saturday and ordered chicken biryani , when the biryani was on the table I forget the definition of biryani , its not chicken biryani but a tomato bath with two small pieces of chicken . They charged high than any place in Devon . The quality is the worst I have ever seen . If you want a bad experience in Chicago I recommend this restaurant

This was a decent place, I dont think it was as good as some others like Rangoli or places in Naperville, but it was enjoyable. We generally have chicken tikka Masala and Paneer Makhani when we try a new place as a base. We also tried the Paneer Tikka- it was a little flavorless. The garlic naan was tasty here, good bit of toasted garlic on it.
