Yesterday I gave a second try to this buffet, because I had a coupon. I am sure this one will be the last one. Why? Here are the reasons: 1. When I approached the cashier the girl saw me and my son and said "$16.35!" right away. No greeting no eye contact, no smiling. She was like a robot. Then, she threw two sets of cutlery (tableware) on the counter mat, which was so dirty that its color turned to almost black. I asked her to give me the new sets in my hand because the mat was dirty. She got angry. (this girl was also very rude and unfriendly in my first visit this restaurant on Valentines Day 2014). 2. Communication with servers (waiters/waitresses) is difficult due to their poor English. They dont understand well and serve right. If you say anything other than the name of the beverages (Sprite, Coke, orange etc.) they get confused and another server comes to the rescue. Also, they are not friendly but like robots. One of the waitresses (when the other two left she stayed alone for the whole area) kept calling the customers from far to the section that is closed to the kitchenette to make beverage and other services easy. Unbelievable! 3. A waitress brought two fortune cookies in a plate-like something, which was obviously the lid of something with a hole on the side. As if it is not enough, the edge of this hole was broken. Before I left, I called the waitress and showed that to her. As an excuse, she said they were all broken. Then, I said "why would you bring such broken, old items to the customers but because she couldnt speak English very well, she couldnt answer (may be she had nothing to say). 4. It is a huge restaurant with three large sitting areas. However, two of the areas were closed and everybody had to gather and eat in only one area like a workplace cafeteria. It was extremely boring. If I noticed that before I paid , I would leave the place immediately. To keep the cost low and reduce the amount of employees/servers they get the crowd flocked in one sitting area. How inconsiderate! 5. Although the new food right from the kitchen is hot, as the food stay in the trays they get cold and even hard to chew. They should have working heating system under the trays like in other buffet restaurants. So the bottom line is that Japan Hibachi Grill Buffet-Burbank provides POOR SERVICE and LOW QUALITY OF FOOD to keep the cost low. I have a strong feeling that this restaurant will close its doors in the near future. Oh well!

We had the worst experience of the day never heard of this before but the Hispanic women which no one is wearing a badge to identified who and whos their name is , giving us an assigned seat when it wasnt a host in the front. Ive never heard of those are for 8 people oh this one is for 5 you guys cant seat there then where the heck is your host at ? And not taking us to be seated where they want us to get seated at ? Plus the other side was open people were sitting in the other side of the restaurant. If I walk to a place where theres no sign wait to be seated Ill go and choose where I dont want to be seated on the crowd and unable to move because is so crowed and tight I want to have my own space of course I wont take a table that I will be not using all of the chairs but if I come in a group of 5 of course I want a loose space, I felt like I was suffocating better have a better management and identification. Terrible service dont give no star to this place.

Absolutely horrible food. The fish in the pond are more cooked then their food, the chips look like they have been there since 1996. Dont even get me started with the forks they didnt give me a fork or spoon at one point I wanted to go in the back and get the big spoon they use to make the soup. I got more flavor out of my mix tape from 08 then the freaking chicken nuggets. The manager comprehensive skills are match with that of Floyd Mayweathers reading skills. I leave 3 stars for now because the waiter was very nice as long as she stays my review will stay three stars..

I was hungry and decided to try something different than the norm. I walked inside and the layout was very nice and the employees were wonderful. I sat down to eat and the food was fantastic. I had to over look all of this when a roach crawled over and decided he wanted to eat too after crawling on my lady friends neck. The staff did return my hard earned money and were very polite. I just felt if a roach was at my table he was not alone and the kitchen where my food was prepared may have had roach contamination as well. I threw up outside and my appetite was gone.

NEVER EVER GOING BACK... it was one of my favorite places to go to.. but after today never will i go back.. i came back from graving my plate from the hibachi table.. and as i set my table i saw a cockaroach... yes i saw it.. and i told my server and she kept telling me no no i dnt see it. after second of "checking" my 3rd old saw it and got really scared.. all they did was give me my money back and said sorry? hmm yea they should close this place out!!!! Dont even waste your time!!!!!

I usually never give feedback on restaurants but I dont want anybody else going thru what im going thru right now... Ive gone a couple times and the times ive gone ive gotten food poisoning.. They have alot of food so it was stupid from my part given it a second chance. I dont wish this upon anybody ive been throwing up all day.. i dont recommend this restaurant to nobody unless you want to get sick..

The place needs some up-keep but the food stands out for the most part considering this is a buffet style restaurant after all. Service is at a minimum, the staff take your drink order and clear your dishes, not much else can be said about them. I would rather return to this place than Old Country Buffet or the other Hibashi style buffet at 71st and Pulaski.

Always go with my family we love the different options of food to even the grilled table....my kids love this place more then anything we usually eat here 3 times out of the week. The serve is OK, I understand its a big place and theyre attending many other tables but another hand theyre really friendly and polite

No stars would be more like it!!! This place is filthy!!!! First and last time there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! I would have left as soon as I walked in, but I was there for someones Birthday. Turns out none of us will ever go back!!! The only people who should show up at this place are inspectors!!!
