Visited in April and May of 2015 with our 3rd grader and he said it was the best day ever (including a trip a month prior to LegoLand Florida and a day at Disney World which he probably doesnt remember). Man I couldve saved a lot of money on airline tickets. My kid would give it 5 stars all the way. Its a gorgeous huge space, the bowling alleys look very slick. The pizza the kid had looked fantastic, and was his favorite ever. We have a lot of food sensitivities to navigate and their scratch kitchen was on the surface able to accommodate it, but the communication from server to kitchen via their minuscule resolution touch screens is probably why Im pretty sure I got butter on my veggies when I shouldnt have. Ive had the scallops and the salmon and both were prepared well. Portion sizes for the price could stand to be a bit larger, however on those dishes. We seemed to have an army of people waiting on us and service was good if not yet a well oiled machine. My boy loved the games and played Mario Kart and Donkey Kong with unbridled glee, without the constant sensory assault you get at places like GameWorks or D&B. Its a conversational volume here at L257 and you dont leave with your head wanting to explode. Separately I ran a professional networking group meet up there in the bar area and everyone had a great time and is looking forward to coming back. Its a big place and on a Thursday it current seems a little empty, which is surprising with how buzzing it is on the weekends. The prices do reflect a higher end experience .. and given that weve gotten good service and solid food, Im not at the point of crying foul over the prices. The game play prices are a bit steep though. $25 for 2 hours of mostly games you and a MAME box could play for free... is a bit stiff. $9 a line and $4 shoes for bowling is also far from economical, but it is a pretty posh bowling experience.

Now this is coming from someone within the service industry that understands this establishment has been open for about a month. To keep myself from making a novel-- heres a list. 1. The hostesses failed to greet myself and friends for 10 minutes. The blonde then after asking our our plam failed to relay information about reserved table and party we waited for. 2. Drinks took fifteen minutes to receive. 3. We had 2 different versions of menus-- "bowling" and "regular". 4. When my I ordered main meal (regularly an app) I requested it as my main meal... It came out early and sat for 20 minutes before the rest came out. After ten minutes she acknowledged said fact and asked if " I could just eat it now *pause* or it could be brought back out with everything else. 5. Nearly every one of the 13 people were not happy about their meal. Whether an item was forgotten, room temp, or just the wrong table all together. 6. The food is not worth their prices. 7. The server was yelling at the food runners. Never. Belittle. Your staff. It makes you look bad, your bosses, your staff, your establishment. 8. Drinks take 15 minutes pt. 2 9. The game play? Rip off. 10. I like your draft selection. Great farmhouse ale. Sorry, that was still a novel of great length. EDIT* 11. THERE ARE NO SAID POOL TABLES.

The atmosphere is fun but its a weirdly set up place and the staff want tremendously helpful the night we went. Wed never been there before but all we wanted to do was go bowling. We said this to the lady at the counter who put us on a list for a lane. When we got called back they ended up trying to seat us for dinner. When we reminded them we were just there to bowl we were told it would be another 30 minutes (in spite of there being 4 open lanes). The other person told her to just give us another lane which they did. They then failed to explain anything else about the night (such as where to get a ball...theyre in back, you have to ask for the one you want, or how to pay at the end.... you pay your server which would have been fine except we never once had anyone come to us and ask if we wanted a drink or anything). Basically the place is fine but a lot of confusion could have been cleared up with a simple "is this your first time here" and actually having a server visit our table. Ill go back now that I know what Im doing but it wasnt a great first impression.

If you are moderatly serious about ping pong dont go here. There are 2 tables which are not regulation, the nets are so high off of the tables that the balls can slide / be hit under them. The paddles are wooden blades with no rubber. Also there are only a couple of balls, which get lost under a deep bench behind the tables. It would be easy for them to fix this issue by stapling some netting under it, which would prevent customers from having to crawl on their stomachs under it to retrieve stray balls. If you decide to go here anyway, note that it is not accessible through the mall, is not on the mall maps, and from the parking lot, you find it by looking for the black wall of columns next to Sears. I gave a star for each of the following: 1. ping pong is free; 2. the staff were super friendly and helpful, it was clean and decor was cool; 3. the food was decent (salad, fried calamari, Cuban sandwich). Also we brought our own paddles and balls so it wasnt a total waste.

Arcade area is actually fairly small and not too exciting. They do have bowling which is unique and a giant pacman screen to play and watch while you eat. They do have a solid beer selection and drink list. The bar area has a few tv screens to catch a game. Food is decent but nothing special. Queso dip was a bit cold and cheese was fairly chunky. Buffalo wings were on point but slightly over fried (comes with dressing, celery and carrots). The meatballs arent bad but nothing to get excited about as the marinara was fairly bland. The bacon wrapped dates were perfectly cooked and who doesnt like bacon! I did enjoy the wood fire pizza. I had the mushroom and pepperoni pizza which was definitely on point and finished off with a nice crunch (added jalapeños for a little kick). I probably wont be coming back unless I am forced too. Gameworks around the corner at Streets of Woodfield is a far better option and much more reasonably priced for what you get.

Fun place, good food and arcade but I have to agree with much of what the other posters had to say, terrible/slow service. I really dont know what to think about managements replies because it does t seem that anything is being done about how slow things are. It took them a very long time to bring the bowling shoes and one pair had 2 right shoes. No exaggeration, one person in my party waited over 40min for his drink. We had about 9 people and they brought out the food with only 7 plates and no napkins or silverware. Much of the tab was compt so that made up for the service somewhat but thats a complete injustice to the owners of the place. Its no ones fault but management and things need to change. Paying two or three more people will earn you loads back in the long run. You can always cut someone ealry (believe me that half the staff would love to leave early) but being understaffed is going to be your downfall.
