I was excited to try this place. Dinner and good wine with some great atmosphere. What is not to like, right? WRONG! We put our name on the list after the hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait and followed her recommendation to have a drink at the bar. There we found two different wine lists and were told when my coworker ordered from the menu list that the wine was not available by the glass. Not too bad so she ordered from the other list...and we watched at the bar tendered finished off one bottle into her glass then poured more from another bottle. This is unacceptable practice, especially from a place that specialized in wine. I ordered the worst glass of $12 Chardonnay ever. I have had $6 bottles that tasted better. All the wine was served in the same cheap glassess. Again, for a place that specializes in winde I would have expected the wine to be served in the correct stem ware. On top of it all, we noticed the bottle opener for beer bottles sticking out of the top of the bar tenders black stretchie pants...gross. Finally we finished our bad wine and looked at the time and realized it had been sitting at the bar over 30 minutes and the hotess never came to seat us. When we walked up to the hostess stand we saw she had passed our names and sat other tables. She just shrugged ans asked if we still wanted a seat...no apology. Needless to say, we did not stay to eat dinner. What a shame. I really expected so much better.

We had Route Stock Cabernet from Napa Valley. Its very delicious and paired well with the chicken I had. The wine was well bodied. Almost on the very dry side and it is smooth. I had the roasted chicken and I highly suggest this dish. The skin was crisp and part of the outer meat was also crispy but you can taste the juiciness of the inner meat. It was so delicious. Even the potatoes had crispy skin. I just loved how all the herbs blended well with the chicken and potatoes. It has the right garlic, herbs, and acidity. The fish tacos were good. You can taste the fish and how fresh it was. My only advice is to make atleast a chipotle sauce or something. I tasted dry or lacking some sauce. The tacos were serve with chips, and you can tell the chips and the tortilla are not locally made. The place is beautiful. Ally, our server, was a delight, very knowledgeable and friendly.

My family had some time to kill before flights made us part ways... and randomly landed at D.O.C. Wine bar. It was the best decision we made all weekend! It was Monday afternoon -- 1/2 off bottles of wine! This made the wine much more reasonably priced, so of course, we indulged. The patio was perfect, the food was absolutely spectacular. We ordered one of their 8-choice platters, and then each had an entree and everything was cooked perfectly. We decided we would definitely be back, even though it was a little out of the way. The only maybe even partially bad part was the service was a little slow -- but we did tell the waitress we were on vacation, so perhaps that was our own fault. Regardless, it was a fantastic experience, and I would recommend this place to everyone!

#chitequilatasting It was a beautiful restaurant to attend ...i went there yesterday for a baby shower. The food was delicious! The service/staff was very attentive to those who were vegetarians -- which was nice. They would warn them if a dish had meat or whatnot. The decor is dark wood and has great light coming in despite the dark decor. Its nice for a small gathering/event. I really enjoyed myself here at the D.O.C. wine bar ... even if it was in a shopping mall -- which you wouldnt think it was because there were other snazzy restaurants nearby! Parking didnt seem hard to find either so thats a plus as well.

I work in the mall and this is one of the only places I will eat from the mall while Im working. Always delicious, I always get the Bistro Burger and Ive never had a bad experience. Its actually one of the best burgers Ive ever had and Ive had a lot of burgers. My boss swears by the butchers platter. When I come in to work we always ask each other "So... DOC for lunch?" Its become our go to, weve been referring our customers for a while now we love it so much. Great atmosphere, great food, wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Weve been here twice. First time we went, we sat inside and had a glass of wine and the cheese board (which was DEEELIGHTFUL!). The second time we went, we took our dogs and say outside. It ended up raining but that is certainly no fault of theirs and they actually brought umbrellas out for us and the pooches. Very thoughtful!

I thought the layout of this restaurant was awkward. The bar is right at the entrance and if you sit close to the door it feels impersonal and distracting. The bar was well stocked and theu could make any mixed drink requested. I did not eat a meal at this establishment.

Had a great dinner here tonight! I did the pick 4 plate, the Bonjour flight, and had the banana beignets for dessert. Everything was great, and the service was on point. I really enjoyed it, and I will be back the next time business carries me back in this part of town.

Service was kind of shitty... went for wine during the day, so it wasnt many people there .. the waiter barely checked on us and the glasses were cloudy ... I tried to ask for recommendations and the waiter seemed liked he didnt want to be bothered ..

Extremely rude host who basically told us we were not welcome for a drink at 10:15 pm on a Friday night since they were closing in 15 minutes, with about 3/4 of the tables full. WTF?

I just love the vibe of the Lombard location. The staff is always enjoyable and the food is fantastic. Hold on i almost forgotten about the wine i gove it a 10.
