Sunday I went with some friends after church and wanted them to experience the enjoyment Ive always had when coming here. Ive thought the chicken has always been really good and delicious. One of my friends said the chicken was too salty and I have to agree it was. We asked for more bean salad and corn fritters. We werent thrilled with our lunch and was trying to make the best of it when the hostess came over without a word and started to put our left over chicken in a to-go bag. I told her we would do it ourselves as we all came from different families. She did not stop but continued until all was bagged. Talk about a rush out job she did to us was not called for at all. Why did she do this to us, we were still eating. One of my friends talked to another person that worked there but that person didnt seem to care either. Upon paying, my friend also told the cashier and got the same response - could care less about customer service. The food wasnt that great! The waitress was good, the hostess was extremely rude and the cashier could care less... We paid good money for lunch and this restaurant didnt give a hoot about us. Note: we were there less than an hour. Do you set time limits on your guest? I will NEVER go to another White Fence Farm again.

My mom and I were in the area and hadnt been there in over 20 years, so we went. I got a half chicken for her and one for me. We got one little bowl of each side. .. .not a set of sides for her order and one for mine. . .just one set. The chicken was so delicious and sides were great. It was way too much chicken for us so we wanted to take it home. We were given bags to take home the chicken, but nothing for the sides, which I thought was ridiculous. It wasnt like Id ordered MORE of the sides and wanted to take that home. It was only what was left of the original ONE little bowl of each. But they said they didnt have anything to put it in. So I paid $30 for one chicken and one little set of sides I couldnt take home! The cute waiter was nice about it, but couldnt do anything. The cashier didnt give a *&^)&)*^%. It made me wonder: what do they do with the left over sides? Give them to the next customer?

4 pts for the chicken. 1 pts for the price. 0 pts for the sides. For $15, I expect a bit more. Now the actual chicken was terrific. Light batter, came out quickly. Falls right off the bone. The rest of what was served could have been warmed up in an E-Z Bake Oven (or Stove?). There was nothing redeeming about the sides other than we could have gotten more if we wanted. The problem was that we did not want more. They were almost OK, but reminded me of high school cafeteria quality. Suffice to say, we will not be returning. Given the sprawling size of the place, it is clear they value quantity over quality. I suppose if you were having a huge catered event, it would work. For a basic Sunday sit-down meal, it was far from worth the cost. The service was good though. Out waiter was fast and efficient. No complaints there.

Im not sure where to start. Such a horrible experience. Went to get food and it was made wrong which happens so no big deal, however when we took it back the argued that not all of it was wrong just some so they wanted to just fix some of it and let the rest of the food go cold and mush. So then they again made the order wrong so we called since we had drove there twice and where told "we dont care, and say what you want" and then hung up on. Having been a military family in the area and getting chicken for large events for years I am just completely dumbfounded by the utter lack of care even after they admitted the mistakes but refused to do something so simple as to make it right. I would strongly recommend staying away from the Romeoville location at least!

This place is classic. You start off your meal with hush puppies to die for, beet salad, coleslaw, and cottage cheese. Then the chicken, which is fried in a thick batter comes, to which my entire family eats every piece down to the bone. After dinner my entire family goes into the Main Lobby where they have classic arcade games from the 1930s. In the same lobby they have almost a mini museum of classic cars. The best time to come is during the holidays, where they have the entire massive dining rooms full of Christmas decorations. The bathrooms are very clean. The only thing is, they dont have any grilled options. Everything is fried, fried, fried.

This place is so beautiful. They have so many old artifacts. It is a restaurant and a museum as well as a farm. We went for the chicken obviously. But I ordered the fried fish and the waitress brought me boneless chicken tenders. I told her that I had ordered the fish and she apologized but I ended up keeping the chicken because I didnt want them to throw it away. Awful idea. The chicken strips or tenders were super dry. But the regular bone in chicken was delicious! The sides were really good too. My favorite was the pickled beets. I do recommend this place. It is pricey though.

I had to ask three times (over 15 minute time span) to get one glass of iced tea, 30 minutes after seated finally got my first (and only) tea when everyone else got their one and only refill. Then I mentioned to the waitress that one of the chicken breasts wasnt cooked through and she stated that it was because of a blood clot. My family has been going here for 35+ years. This was an absolute disappointment and embarrassment. I brought people with me that had never been. I found myself apologizing for recommending WFF. Things have changed greatly, and not for the better.

This was my first time at White Fence Farm. The food was absolutely delicious!!!! Everyone in our party got friend chicken and boy did we get a lot of chicken! Wait, my son got fried shrimp. He loved it but it wasnt enough, luckily there was more than enough chicken to go around. With 8 people getting the chicken meal there was more than enough to go around, more than enough for seconds, and leftovers. The taste of the chicken was so delicious it melted in my mouth. Great food, great people and amazing atmosphere!!!

It does not get better than white fence farm for chicken! We live about 45min away but make a trip there almost every 3 month for lunch on a sunday. The chicken special is pricey at around $15 per person but comes with 4 pieces of chicken per person and endless sides.. and the sides are amazing. Well the corn fritters, slaw, and beans are my fav. The chicken is excellent too, perfect skin crispness. Its almost infuriating how damn good the chicken is knowing that Ive never made one that perfect.
