My husband and I sat down at the bar, bartender asked us if we needed menus, we said yes, as we were planning on ordering food. Looking over the beer menu, i asked if they offered flights. The bartender said no (Strike 1) they do not offer flights, but do have $1.00 samples, i thought great, thats exactly what i wanted to do, since they have many beers on tap. I asked the bartender, "how well do you know these beers?", She responded umm...shrugged her shoulders, and said, "somewhat" (Strike 2)...my husband asked, "Do you have something similar to Coors?", Bartender replied, "Im not really sure" (Strike 3)...Bartender is not knowledgeable about the beer she serves...I asked for a $1.00 sample, which was perfect, a small sample glass filled to the top...after she set my sample down, someone who i assume was her boss, called her to the side to speak with her...i then asked for a second $1.00 sample of a different beer...she gave me the same size glass, only half filled..which amounted to approx 2 shots.....i was wondering, why it was only filled half way...maybe it was a freebie?...it wasnt too appealing to me, i asked for a different beer sample ...that one too was only half full, which was about 2 shots...i really liked that one, and asked for a full $1.00 sample...she said, "that was one, what you just had"...I replied, but it was only half full, bartender replied " i was just told our $1.00 Samples are only filled to half of the sample glass" LOL Strike 4. We asked for the check, the bartender apologise, and said, "Im sorry", and i replied "Thats ok, its not your fault, we wont be back, we are going to 12 Handles...bartender asked, "Wheres that at?", i replied, "Crest Hill, and they offer flights". No wonder our friends Chip & Lori stopped coming here, they said it changed hands and was horrible...well you know what, i guess we had to find out for ourselves..they were right, It is horrible.

I went here hoping it would be a "west" version of Three Corners in Lemont, IL. However, it wasnt even close. We were one of two tables occupied at 12:30pm on a weekend - that should speak a little to what others think of the restaurant. We ordered an appetizer that had decent flavor but they seemed to forget that nachos are supposed to be crunchy. Instead, they were floppy and you could barely tell when you were eating the nacho or the rest of the dish. The entrees werent inedible but certainly not worth the $10-12 for a hamburger. The fries were bland and the burger wasnt anything I couldnt have put together at my house. I also had a dead fruit fly in the water I was given and another fruit fly landed on our appetizer. The womens bathroom also had a fruit fly problem. The mens did not. However, it was dark and looked as though the tiling and painting had been done by an amateur in a hurry. Service was fine. I have no real complaints (other than not noticing the fly) but also no praise.

My husband and I took our 2 kids to the location in Plainfield for dinner tonight. My one year old daughter found a small piece of plastic in her grapes and I let the manager know just to make sure they were aware of the situation. I didnt want or expect any compensation from this, my daughter wasnt hurt and it wasnt a huge deal, but we felt the need to let someone know what had happened. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was extremely helpful and understanding of the situation and made the meal a pleasant experience all around. The manager Rebecca, not only took care of our entire bill for us, but also gave us free appetizer coupons for our next visit. I am amazed and humbled at the awesome customer service we received today. They did a fantastic job and we will definitely be returning!!

I really wanted to like this place. The location is great, and it looks very lovely from the outside. If you want to go for just beer, they have a wide selection. You will probably enjoy the variety. The bar area looks very nice. However, if you want to eat here, the food is mediocre at best. I ordered the pretzels as an appetizer. They arrived cold and frozen with a warm outside with melted butter over them. I ordered the prime rib sandwich on a pretzel roll. The meat looked overly processed and gray. Probably came from the freezer and microwaved as well. The taste was not awful, but nothing to even talk about. In my opinion, a restaurant MUST serve high quality fresh food. This place did not fit the bill.

We showed up and the hostess looked like she was in her pajamas. I was underwhelmed by the staff in general. We were seated in a very inconvenient spot for the restaurant. Our table was blocking the flow of staff and customers so we were in the way for our entire meal. We waited quite a while to have our order taken which was a little frustrating because we have two small kids. When our food came I was immediately disappointed. My burger was cold, overcooked and the fries were stale and cold. My kids food was ok. My wife did like her beer soup. The space is dingy, dirty and beat up. Im giving 2 stars for the 1 star effort they put in.

My boyfriend & I have been coming here for just about a year now & we love it. The food is always delicious, I definitely recommend their fish & chips meal. Im not much of a drinker but they always rotate what they serve which is awesome for when youre wanting to try new stuff. My boyfriend is pleased that they usually have Lagunitas on tap. Our service is usually great, we only had one instance of waiting a while due to an event with $1 beer, so it was incredibly busy for them. We will continue to visit Tap House as long as we can :)

After reading some reviews I admit was feeling leary. But was pleasantly surprised! Atmosphere was decent our server was very nice and helpful as was our 1st visit, really enjoyed our meal (both got burgers, cooked perfect, great flavor with tater tots, yum;who does that?) (also got squash soup, tasty and different and fried pickles wonderful) unfortunately too full for dessert, will try next time. Loved on tap beer selection. I think its a great little local place for few beers and a meal or appetizers. Will definitely return.

Tuesday nights are $5 Burger night you can have any Burger except the Ultimate Burger which is $27. Supposedly no one has ever been able to finish it its called the ultimate Challenge Burger and its with Angus beef 4lbs. The burgers are very tasty the french fries are Chris on the outside and tender on the inside. The soft drinks are endless the atmosphere is nice they have plenty of televisions and a beer selevtion thats totally crazy. We enjoyed it! :-) I had a double cheeseburger.

We had a nice evening out here, we dined in but they have outdoor seating that will be great for the summer. I was happy with my meal, I recommend the fried avocado tacos. It was very busy around 7 then cleared out quite a bit for a Friday night. Food is a little high priced in my opinion, but nothing too extreme. Our party had some issues with drinks and we had to request silverware before we could eat our dinner, other than that we had a good time and I would go back.
