This restaurant is full of wonderful memories ever since I came there a small child 20 years ago. Not only the breakfast is amazing but the entire restaurants atmosphere is always filled with joy and laughters that turns into a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant owner, John, each and every time would immediately recognize me and my family with such a warm welcome right as we come inside, even in the midst of a line of people. John never changed of how hes always full of life, joy, and care especially how hes talking with every customer. Definitely come here if you have the chance! You wont regret it!

Breakfast is ok but there are far better lunch choices in Palatine like Grammy Ds across the street or Red Apple in Palatine. Palatine Inn serves till 10pm. Cafe 14 closes well before 3pm. I had one of the most average lunches Ive ever paid for here, and their soup isnt anything to rave about although they rave about it. You will get run down by the owner if you are standing in the doorway at 2:30, they dont stay open until 3pm in my experience.

We are extremely pleased with Cafe 14 and constantly referred everyone we know...The owner, John, is concerned if we do not show up on our regular days, His staff, is warm, friendly and top notch for service, The menu is great, something for everyone! There are a lot of restaurants in the Palatine area, but here you are Treated, like you are their most treasured customer!! GO there!
