Innovative Garage Door
1 star is for penny pinching owner whos chefs cannot make cheesy eggs to save their rears. The rest of our food was good, the server was better, the eggs we ordered ( cheesy eggs) were done terrible A square piece of kraft single on top of eggs scrambled, Not a big deal, the place was busy so we peeled off the cheese ( in 1 piece ) and went on w/ breakfast. The owner asked how breakfast was when paying ---> I told her good except for the terrible cheese on the eggs, 10 minutes later after arguing with me (over taking the $1 off my bill ** which was going to the server anyway**, talking to the chef & our server & getting to the bottom of this mystery which i was done waiting for this ridiculous outcome ) WE LEFT after we were out the door she comes out to tell me she will give me my dollar back PAHLEASE give it to our waitress she deserves it NOT YOU, & GUESS WHAT ? were never coming back enjoy your extra dollar you can go buy a whole pack of kraft singles for that . penny pincher

It took the staff several minutes to understand that my gf and I were trying to order biscuits and gravy to share in addition to the meals we had ordered for ourselves. After the waitress called someone else over to figure this out, they served us the biscuits and gravy cold. We asked the waitress to reheat it and 10 min later she brought an entirely different plate of biscuits and gravy out with less biscuits than we had ordered and it appeared to have a random bite off to the side. We were concerned that perhaps another customer had the same issue and maybe the plates had gotten switched. We asked the waitress and she stared blankly at us and simply replied, "Im not sure" ... at this point the Hostess (perhaps manager) came over and asked the problem. We Explained and she put in an entirely new order for us. Then brought them to a few minutes later with burnt biscuits. Well, at least they were hot this time. Lol wont be eating there again.

I love this little mom-and-pop cafe. The staff is really friendly and the food is good for the price. They also have suckers at the check-out/hostess table, which always wins me over. The decor could use some updating, but its comfortable. The whole place has this cozy Sunday-brunch-with-grandma feel, but not in a bad way! I really enjoy coming here.

The food was good. I like that and the service. Both are worth coming back for. The coffee on the other hand... next time Ill bring my own. They say its "Kona" but its gotta be a cheap kona blend that was roasted last year. It tasted stale and weak. Skip the coffee. Get orange juice instead.

Nice restaurant that seems popular with women in the community. Service was good but the menu was deceptive. I looked forward to having a frittata, but I was served a scramble. Their French toast was poorly prepared. It was a thin, dry slice of white bread that egg skimmed over.

Food is good, service friendly, standard diner atmosphere. I had a triple decker club for lunch and it was better than average, served with a very generous handful of fries and a crisp pickle. A hot bowl if chicken and rice soup was tasty. Ill definitely go back.

Edna took time away from manufacturing supersuits for The Incredibles to wait on our table. She was a little gruff, but highly efficient. Food was great. Portion sizes were excessive. Price was reasonable. Typical family diner feel.

Each and every time I go to Morningside Cafe the service is always warm and welcoming. The food is quite tasty and comes out quickly. Ive dined solo, group or somewhere in between and each time it was a great experience.

This place is a staple of dining in Lisle. Its one of the better family-style diners and their breakfast specials are awesome. Ive been coming here since I moved to the area and every time its been spot on.

First time here and the service was polite and prompt and the food was delicious. The waitress gave additional options not on the menu and a hot cup of coffee to go. I found my new breakfast spot in town.

We eat here often. Best breakfasts. I tried the Frittata today. It was great. I always love the flavored creamers ( pumpkin, caramel, Irish cream...). I leave stuffed or with leftovers.
