The service was good, but the food was subpar. The water tasted of tin. A fellow diner suggested it was from the ice machine, but also rejected the water due to the taste. Another fellow diner ordered the chicken pot pie and found it was filled with more gravy (not the base we expected - my chicken pot pies typically use a cream-of-x type dehydrated soup) than substance. Having eaten the actual meat and vegetables, it turned into more of an unappetizing soup bowl. I ordered a hamburger, lifted the bun to add condiments, and found a meat doily - ground beef had been grilled loosely into a barely-connected patty that separated as I poked it. If Id wanted a beef hash, I would have ordered that. Overall disappointment. I keep thinking Ill try again at a different location, but I keep running into food fails at Bakers Squares, apart from the pies.

(3.5 stars) has the look, feel and taste of a chain. Corn beef hash special was decent although a little salty. Eggs were a little greasy but acceptable. Omelettes were fine and pancakes were decent (curiously they dont serve blueberry pancakes but show blueberries on the menu). Apple pie almost tastes like Mrs. Smiths. While thats fine, it doesnt stand out. Service was friendly and quick.

Stopped in on Thanksgiving, I had not reserved a pie, but thought by chance I could get one. The servers and cashier at the pie pick up were so happy and friendly. They said no problem and boxed up a pie for me. It made my Thanksgiving. And the pumpkin whip cream pie was Wonderful.

Ordered pies 10 days in advance. Order was wrong although email confirmation said order was ready. Cashier was nonchalant about the issue. Since order was wrong, and service was lackadaisical, my party of 8 decided to dine elsewhere. A frustrating experience, no doubt.

Last 2 times weve been there the service was poor. Tonight it took 2 hours to eat there because the server was so slow. Love going there but the service is going downhill. Will probably get fed up soon and stop going there.

An often very busy, sometimes overwhelmed, upscale version of IHOP, with decent food and service. The pot pies are worthwhile, many of the desert ones are not, at least when compared to the pictures everywhere in the place.

Food is very good, more than enough to satisfy a large appetite. Coffee is a little weak but iced tea very good. Service can be a little slow. Wait staff can be very helpful and pleasant.

Ordered apple pie a la mode, pie comes back cold. Waiter goes back and microwaves the pie, with the ice cream still on it. Find a new bakers square.
