I used to enjoy the cupcakes at this place, especially the Jimmy Choo, which is chocolate upon chocolate upon chocolate. And then today happened. Without notifying me verbally or with signage, Couture Cupcake started charging me FIVE DOLLARS A CUPCAKE ($4.95) for the cupcakes I used to pay $3.50 each for. The main problem has to do with a lack of transparency and a problematic two-tiered pricing structure: There is no signage or anything to indicate which specific cupcakes are $3.50 (now $3.75) each and which are five bucks ($4.95) each. So I inadvertently ended up paying $15.96, with tax, for just three cupcakes! I wasnt told until after I paid that the "vintage" cupcakes I had ordered all along, like red velvet (pretty standard in my mind), were actually "specialty cupcakes" that cost five bucks each. The thing is, I had never paid $5 at this store--or anywhere--for plain red velvet cupcakes. Then the employee, after consulting with the owner on the phone (the owner refused my polite request for a conversation), told me she was unable to refund me the difference between the cupcake pricing because I had already signed for it on my credit card. This is a lie, as you can always refund and re-charge, or otherwise adjust the price, on a credit card. I wish the owner would have at least agreed to speak with me while she was on the phone with her employee, as Ive been coming since the shop opened five years ago. I felt disrespected and lied to, and Id advise anyone who still wants to try the cupcakes here to be very specific about asking how much each cupcake costs.

LOVE their cupcakes; however, I think the hours on the website need to be updated. I finally decided to give into my 2-week long cupcake craving by stopping tonight after dinner. Since it was a little later in the evening, I checked to see what their hours were, and saw that they were open until 10:00 - Perfect! It was 9:15. I hopped in my car and headed up to Rand Road, only to pull up and see that they were closed....thinking I had read the hours wrong on the website, I checked again - it definitely said 10:00. I can certainly do without a cupcake at 9:30 on a Friday night, but wish I would not have gone out in the pouring rain thinking I could get one when that wasnt going to be the case....cupcake cravings are serious!! Im sure Ill be back again, but just a heads up that you might not want to rely on the hours posted on the website. The Yelp site does say they close at 9 on Fridays....wish I would have looked here first!

worst most unprofessional place ever. I ordered a cake for my daughters graduation and they made the cake wrong not what I ordered. Then the owner would not even speak to me and they messes up so much. The final cake looks like something I could make not something that is worth the $80 I paid for it. I tried to get a refund for the horrible cake but all the person in the store offered me was a $10 gift card which is not something I wanted when they couldnt make the cake correctly why would I come back to them. I felt that they should have done better to fix the cake that looked awful. Now the graduation cake my daughter wanted will be not what I ordered and wanted for her. Also note that this place takes their phone off the hook all the time so they dont have to answer it or speak to clients that have issues or are upset. Stay away from them way overpriced for the cheaply decorated items they sell.

Couture Cupcake set up a cupcake table for our wedding in June. Up to the wedding they were very friendly, communicative, and even worked well within our budget. On the day of the wedding my panicked venue coordinator informed my bridesmaid that the cupcakes had not arrived. After a call to the shop we discovered that they had the wrong date for our order. In spite of this error, they managed to still deliver the cupcakes. They were a bit late but everything was set up before we walked in for our reception. The cupcakes were beautiful and everyone loved them! Even with the mix up we would still work with them again!

This little place is also well hidden. It is an excellent once in a blue moon cupcake place. Marie Antoinette would hold court here if she would to be reincarnated. Her new phrase would be Let them eat Couture Cupcake!!!! I was here a couple of times and I have never had a bad cupcake.The price is to be expected because this is not a discount bakery. The one African American man went out of his way to make sure my chocolate cupcake was baked so i would not be smashed on my way me. That was very nice of him. This is type of service that makes you want to go back along with the quality.

New Ownership in July 2017. Place is super clean and the cupcakes were amazing. Already planning on placing another order for co-workers and sent my doctor friends there. They are using them to cater some events with Cupcakes. Deliciousness.
