My husband & I have lived in the area for four years and had given up on ever finding a good quality, local Chinese restaurant. I happened upon these on-line reviews of Chinese Kitchen and called them (no web site). I told the woman who answered that I wanted to place a take-out order but that I had never been there and did not have a menu. "You like sweet, spicy, garlic?" I like spicy and garlic. "You want beef, chicken?" Beef, I think. "You want vegetables or no vegetables?" I would like *some* vegetables, but not a ton. She recommended spicy garlic beef w/vegetables. "You want a whole or half order?" Half. Fifteen minutes later, I was waiting in their barebones little area, there on the second floor of the strip mall, next to the Army recruiter office. She apologized for keeping me waiting (I was early) and gave me my order. $6.30. Perfect - exactly the right proportions of beef to veggies, just spicy enough, and everything tastes *very* fresh. (And they give you the cutest little box of rice with the half order.) I will definitely go back.

Great for lunch! Ive been to Chinese kitchen a number of times, and each time the entree is wonderful. For lunch (about $6 to $6.50) you get a big plate including Entree, Fried Rice, Eggroll, Soup, Tea and Water. Pretty decent for Naperville area. The Hong Sue Chicken is excellent and the Szechwan Chicken is great as well. Lots of meat, and fresh veggies. The Fried Rice does have a little bit of a burnt flavor, but it is easily remedied by about a half teaspoon of Soysauce. Last visit was eat in, service was fast, we were in and out in under 30 minutes. All in all 5 stars for price, flavor, and speed

We researched Chinese restaurants in Naperville and found that this restaurant (according to reviews) received 4.5 stars and I am unsure how or why. I would give this place maybe one star (if that). The portions are huge and the food is bland. We moved to IL from Phoenix recently and have yet to find a good Chinese food restaurant anywhere in the Northwest suburbs. We ordered two large entrees one with "garlic sauce" and one that was supposed to be a a sechzuan (spicy) sauce but was not spicy at all. I would not recommend this place if you know what good Chinese food is.

We walked in and ordered food to go. This was the exact opposite of what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. Great service, awful food. The cheapest possible ingredients found their way into every dish. The egg rolls were bland, soggy and greasy. The won-ton soup had a few won tons, with tasteless broth and some scary looking multi-colored pork strips swimming at the bottom. The only redeeming quality of the meal? The fortune cookies. We got 5 of them. The fortunes made no sense, but the cookie was flavorful (although soft). We will not be back.

The dishes we order are all very good! Take out is busy with very satisfied repeat customers...sometimes its standing room only in the crowded pickup area. Clearly some of the reviews reflect different combinations we have not tried. We always do takeout and food is custom cooked within 10-15 minutes. They are very happy to do low fat and no msg versions of all their dishes as healthy fare. Enjoy yourself. Definitely try a variety of dishes! Probably my only issue is the dofficulty comparing dishes and getting suggestions. Enjoy!

2 stars is graceful. Fried rice has dry, hard kernels synonymous with using old (yesterday) rice. Most items are overcooked- ie: egg dishes, shrimp dishes (rubbery shrimp). No fresh ingredients - all canned veg for the most part. Worst broccoli color you will ever see. Portions are small compared to other Chinese lunch specials. I wouldnt mind that so much if the quality of food was better. Almond cookie ? Thumbs up. Glad they cant mess that up.

Just helping my sister-in-law out, whos heading to CK from downtown. I know the place well, from when I lived in Naperville 15 yrs ago. I stll hit it when I visit. Their lunches are amazing--delicious, lots of food, little money. Only two other Chinese restaurants have been ones I return to: Great Hunan in Winona, MN and Chins in San Diego. Oh, and be sure to order a fancy cocktail!

Second time ordered from this place. Twice the rice rice wasnt fresh. Dry dry rice. The shrimp toast was saugy. I called because I was so dissatisfaction. The business didnt even apologize or nothing. Im a long time customer. But now I will never return to this place again. I strongly suggested not to buy here. You will be upset.

Not to hurt these glaring reviews, but I went there and found the restaurant average. I got the szechwan shrimp and it was kinda bland and the shrimp was not fresh and it was rubbery. The fried rice was ok as well. Not a bad place, but not nearly as great as these reviews would make you seem.

I have been going to this Chinese restaurant since 1985. Best Mongolian Beef ever! This is cantonese old style. Reminds me of the restaurants from the city...although not China Town but neighborhood. The family who runs the restaurant is wonderful and they do remember their regulars.

The Orange Chicken is very tasty. The chicken is sweet and the rice has good flavor. They make their dishes very filling and big too. The service is great because u get ur food really fast and it is cheap. The soup is brothy but it is good. Overall, Its good.

Low key place but very nice looking and clean. The service was fast and food was delicious. The lunch special cant be beat for around $6 since you get a full tea kettle, soup, meal and an egg roll. Plus a fortune cookie of course! It is a great deal!

I dont know anybody who thinks badly of this place. The owners remember their regulars and are fantastic. The prices are good and I love everything on the menu. Id never go to any other place. Pork fried rice egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. Yum!

The restaurant doesnt look very nice but the food has always been good. The prices are the cheapest you will find for lunch specials (you can get a lunch special anytime of the day). The staff is nice and friendly. I go here whenever I can

We ordered 4 menu items. All were inedible with exception of sweet and sour chicken. Mongolian beef was overcooked and dried out and was very bland. Were never brought our drinks. Dont waste your time here

Ive been coming here for 20+ years and Im sad to say Ill never go back. This place has changed hands and since the quality of food has declined. Its like getting kicked in the crotch by a long list friend.

Restaurant closes at 9pm. Arrive at 8:25pm. Told that we can only dine-in if we eat fast. We did them a favor and left at 8:26pm. No website and poor business practice means I will not venture in again.

For my first time, the food was filling and quite good. The rice was a bit dryer than other places I have been to. But everything was very affordable. I will definitely stop by again.
