Let me start off by saying I used to frequent this place regularly, starting back in the days when Mikey was still bartending. When Mikey left to pursue Only Child, I was worried since he was a big reason why I would frequent the place (along with the food, atmosphere, etc..). Fortunately the new bartender Jace was fantastic. As much as I hate to say it, he was better the Mikey and made me feel more at home when frequenting Park Street. I kept going regularly, looking forward to the constantly changing specials and soups. Well I dont know whats been happening lately, but the food specials are constantly the same. They are down to 1 soup of the day. The "new" menu is the old menu plus 2 or 3 news things. There is a new owner that sits at the end of the bar, where all he does is eat, drink, stare at people and micro-manage the staff. It makes the bar a very uncomfortable area to sit in now and I found myself going there less and less since this new owner started showing up to get free food. To make matters worse, the past couple times I went in, Jace was not there (so I left). I heard through the grapevine he was fired for comping a drink for a regular. If this is the case I will never be back to this restaurant. The food is slowly dying, without Jace the customer service is non-existent, and sitting at the bar getting stared at by an owner while he stuffs his face with free food and drink is not something I want to pay for. Sorry Joel, I love your beer-pairing nights.. I used to look forward to the specials and soups, but this has all changed. That combined with no Jace and a creepy owner means Ill have to say goodbye. Dont worry, its no you... its the rest of park street. Hopefully Tina Gs will be open soon and run as well as Philly Gs and Tavern on 60.

This place is great. Everyone who works at Park Street is incredibly nice and genuine. The adorable hostess, Chloe, greets you with a welcoming smile. From your seat, you will see the entire staff working together well and genuinely enjoying the company they are serving, as well as other staff members. The great bussers, Leo & Alfredo, are very attentive to the entire dining experience and are always happy to assist with cleaning away a plate or explaining the delicious meal they delivered to you. The bartender, Jace, is the sweetest and will treat you like you’re part of the family. He takes his time to help you with your selection of food and beverage while also making sure you and your guests have a great time. Also, he is always happy to talk history or play chess if you are dining solo. I have yet to sit at a table however the servers are incredibly kind and once they have seen you in Park Street, they will always welcome you like an old friend. I’m looking forward to live music and trivia in the summer!

Friendly service and nice outdoor patio surrounded by herbs make this an attractive alternative to sports bars. I hesitate to say that the food was worth the price tag with our lobster bisque being too salty but otherwise under seasoned. The crab stuffed mushroom caps lacked imagination being served in a salty cheese sauce, again no other flavor coming through and our fries which we ordered extra crispy where in fact soggy. Their beer menu tries to be hip and local, although we only found one selection we really enjoyed and alas, what should be the worlds easiest beverage to make "the humble old fashioned" was watery and lacked flavor. We left thinking that this would be a great spot for lunch with girlfriends since the salad and wrap section of the menu looks attractive. Ill give this place another shot.

We found the service, oysters, scallops, chop salad and the inexpensive wine list fantastic. (Ask for Gina to be your server!) We also prefer non-chain restaurants and this place is a slice of heaven. In contrast to other reviewers, we did not feel the prices were high at all - we found them extremely reasonable and not anywhere near Chicago prices. We had a bottle of wine, a dozen oysters, salad, entrees and coffee for under $100 for the two of us - when you consider the wine was about forty percent of the bill, we feel it is a great value. We highly recommend the oysters - they also have 1/2 price wine on Wednesdays - so rock on! If you are a beer drinker, they have a great selection as well.

This is a great little gem in the heart of Lake County. It has higher quality food and a upscale atmosphere than you can find elsewhere in Mundelein. They rotate some exceptional craft beers and have a pretty good wine list. Chef Joes specials are almost always superb and fit in nicely with the season of the year. Id recommend this spot for date night or a group of friends get together.

Great food, dont go there with a large party. Not staffed tonight to handle a full house. You know its bad when you have to get your own plates and wine. They had more host than busboys. I get it when you dont plan for customers showing up, but at least have your staff acknowledge it and be honest with you about it. Got stuck with a 20% tip, for a 10% service.

Awesome service! Bartender recommended some great wines and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere is so relaxing and you can really just enjoy a glass of wine. Of course I went there on a Thursday, weekends might be a little more crowded and noisy but Ive yet to find that out. Its my new favorite place to go, in fact Im going there again tonight :)

Every time I visit, I receive great service and excellent food. I recommend sitting in the bar and enjoying a few tapas on a Wednesday night, accompanied by one of their great craft beers from a rotating tap selection. The only negative I would have is the dining room is a bit cramped, so the noise level can get a bit high at times.

The whole menu looked amazing. I had the grilled smoked cheddar bacon sandwich with raisin and apricot relish, which was delicious. Im not a big fan of apricot, but the flavors blended together wonderfully. Even the simple coleslaw side was so savory. The locale is comfortable and nicely appointed.

Good appetizer, specials & great food! Exceptional fish dishes if thats your thing. The menu here changes often which is nice for variety. Decent selection of craft beer. A bit upscale & pricy for Mundelein, but worth it. Try Park Street & you will not be disappointed.

The food is great, the service is also great. My wife and I love going to escape the chain restaurants that dominate the Mundelein/Libertyville/Vernon Hills area. The only draw back is the restaurant can get very loud. There isnt much to absorb sound.

Really great food. Enjoyed the lobster penned (lots of garlic, the way we like it), lobster bites and oysters. Well balanced drinks. Will definitely go back.

Not one to write reviews, but this is a hidden Gem. Great food, good pricing and an awesome staff. Finding this place was a pleasant surprise
