Alright so the reviews for this place are about 60/40, and Im not sure why. Ive gone here for about 5 years on a fairly frequent basis and have never been disappointed. Portions are great and food is delicious. Maybe its not the hoidy toidy stuff they serve in California but this is Illinois, almost Wisconsin, what were you expecting? Staff is courteous and hard working. I tried China City in Fox Lake twice and it was awful-- small portions that made me horribly sick afterwards (too much grease), and both times I was still waiting on my orders even though I waited the amount of time they told me it would take before coming inside. Im a loyal fan of China Town, as are my friends and family.

Ordered cashew chicken lunch for me and sweet and sour chicken for my kids. Ive had hoth before at other chinese resturants. The cashew chicken here was way past horrible. Super salty with way to much soy sauce added to the cooking sauce. The chicken tasted like deep fried pork rinds. Just gross. Had to put some of thr sweet and sour sauce on my food just to try and eat it. And personally, ive never seen fried rice that was bright yellow

Me and my husband of six years have been coming here since we dated which is eight years ago now... We have moved there times and only go here. This is by far the best Chinese food Ive ever had and Ive been to six places now... I will always love you China town. P.s. Ive only actually finished my dish twice..... Outta at least sixty times eating here.... That is all....see to soon China town.

Ive been eating there since I was a little kid and I havent found another chinese restaurant thats even close to as good, and not just in McHenry. Ive gotten chinese food from places all over Illinois and the US and I havent found one place as delicious...or as inexpensive! GO THERE NOW! and try the chicken egg foo young because itll change your life. :)

I have lived in the neighborhood for the past 3years and I have tried every Chinese restaurant and this one is by far the best one. Food is great every time, fried crab Rangoon and sweet sour chicken and pad Thai are my personal favorites. The wait time is around 20 minutes, order from here you wont bedisappointed.

Absolutely delicious! Ive been coming to this restaurant since it opened and it is delicious every time! My family usually orders the sesame chicken, shrimp egg foo young, wonton egg drop soup and crab ragoons! The lunch specials have large portions for $5.50 or less, a great value! I highly recommend China Town!

Iv ordered here a lot I dont know it they have a new owner but the food is horrible. There was oil all over and it wasent cooked all the way. The man was so rude on the phone and when i went to pick up the phone he was talking to friends instead of waiting on customers. That is the last time i go there!!!!!

I havent had anything form this place that I dont like. I have been here over 100 times since they opened. Nine times out of Ten the food is perfect, and you get a lot for your money. Most of the combination plates are way to much to eat, and easily become 2 meals for under $10

So sad. I love this place for their egg rolls. ONLY place i go to for their egg rolls. Today, i found a piece of plastic (string like) in my egg roll. When we called, they offered to replace it with another egg roll. sorry, I will never eat here again, keep your egg roll.

This place has been amazing since they opened until recently. Im guessing new owners. Food just isnt the same and angry people behind the counter yelling at each other. Sad to see a great place go to crap like it has. Youll see me at plum garden from now on.

This is my favorite Chinese place ever. And I am Jewish. So I have had a lot. I will travel from Chicago monthly to eat their barbequed pork. No one makes it even close to how good China Town does. Clearly my favorite food. Good service. Great chinese.

All elements of my entree were neither under cooked or over cooked. The consistency of the rice is superb sticky. The soup was very good and farthest from thin. Im a local that tries everywhere, I would recommend the chef here.

Very good food. We usually do take-outs. Not a whole lot of atmosphere in the dining area but the food is very good and they give you plenty of it for a reasonable price. Cant go wrong here.

Ordered food at 4:00 pm. After calling twice i was told it was coming shortly. I am 2 minutes down the street btw. It is now 5:41. The food is ok, needed to heat it up.
