When the waitress asked me after two bites of food in a canned voice "did everything come out looking and tasting good"? I had to laugh - to myself of course. I would never laugh at the waitress. They must be on a mission to provide excellent customer service. Well it worked. The food came out fast and the service was friendly. I had chilaquilles. The portion was huge..for me anyway. I only ate half because tortilla chips cooked in salsa gets super soggy really fast. I got it with chicken (never found it with chicken in a Mexican restaurant). The chicken looked and tasted like the precooked strips you buy in the grocery store that are supposed to save you time. They swear it was a fresh made chicken breast that was sliced up in the kitchen. Hmmmm.

I love the staff here. Never have I encountered such a lovely dynamic in a restaurant. I placed a To-Go order with Kaylee and she was incredibly friendly on the phone and when I arrived at the store she found the time to chitchat with me while getting my food ready. She even made sure to pay attention to my daughter who was a little distraught that day, and offered her stickers and mints! Its the little things for sure. If you order To-Go here, request her, though I dont doubt the other hosts are just as amazing! Of course the food was great too!

Not my first time, but today I was at Downers Grove, IL location. The food was delicious, though not as generous portions, as compared to the pricing, but they really do know how to make breakfast special! Today, I was alone and the staff was simply incredible. Friendly, plentiful, helpful and kind. The special pottery mugs are beautiful and I found out you can buy them on location too. When I was almost done they even offered me a to go cup for my coffee and it too was delicious. Way to go Egg Harbor Cafe.

This is our favorite place to eat! The staff is like family. So friendly, amazing, and caring. Thank you to the entire staff at the downers Grove location. Its so hard to find one person to take pride in their job now a days, so to have an entire staff that takes pride in their career is simply amazing. Egg Harbor upper management needs to give raises because they are so lucky to have a group like this representing them. Never felt so welcome anywhere before like we do here. Thank you for everything!

This place used to be very good, consistent and generous with their portions. But recently they have cut back on their portions and has become pricey as well. I had some chilaquiles with chicken for $14.00, it had one strip of avocado, three small strips of chicken and very little green sauce, so had to asked them for extra green sauce. Basically half of what I used to get. It still has good food and service, but they are becoming too expensive for the portions they serve you.

I love, love, loved this place! We wanted to sit outside and there seemed to be a long wait so they seated the couple in front of us at the first available and then brought out a table for us to sit at. They have a different flavor coffee every day, I had a white chocolate cinnamon. I liked that there was a variety of different options, instead of the same ol breakfast items. AND they offered us to-go cups for our coffee at the end of the meal, we didnt have to ask.

Great Breakfast place for kids and adults. My daughters and my son love to eat at egg harbor. We love going after the farmers market in down town downers grove, which is across the street from restaurant in the train station parking lot. Besides being great for breakfast they have excellent burgers and great salads too. we highly recommend when dining in down town downers grove.

This is a great place for breakfast. Ive eaten here several times and never have I felt hurried by the wait staff (crucial for long breakfst and casual eating) When I order coffee, they bring a mug and a pitcher for the table, so I am never with an empty cup. (This is more pricy than a traditional breakfast diner though)

It is a great place near Downers Grove train station, the restaurant was busy but were seated rather quickly. Food was very good and service prompt. Also, they care about the customers and are interested in helping out the environment. They have a good thing going. Will definitely be back!

Moved away from DG but will go to egg harbor every single day Im in town. Not kidding. Food and selection is amazing. I also used to work here and can say that the people and the company are some of the best Ive worked for. They take pride in their food and it shows!

The food was good and the servers are excellent. I recommend if you have some time to just sit and eat head into Egg Harbor Cafe. If you are a commuter like I used to be they have great breakfast sandwiches for on the go and coffee.

Good food very classy, employees very cheerful and polite. Gets crowded quickly and on hot days they bring you an amlrella if you sit outside. Just needs some out for fans for those humid days where air is still. Like downtown Chicago.

Delicious breakfast spot. Love their variety of eggs benedict offerings. Good service. Warm atmosphere. Fills up on the weekends, obviously, so prepare to wait. But they do offer coffee in the waiting area, which is much appreciated.

They have a large selection with something for everyone. The only negative was the lack of chorizo I the omelet that we ordered. Coffee is excellent, wait staff is great, and though they were very busy we were served quickly.

My kids love this place. The Breakfast of champions is my daughters favorite.I love the Turkey burger for lunch and my wife loves the wraps. Good place, nice people.
