Absolutely disgusting! Once you step inside the door youre charged 11 bucks a person for the dinner buffet. They give you two tiny cups of pop that are what youd normally get for ice water at a sit down restaurant. Our total was a little more than 27 dollars for two. So thats 2.50 per drink that you dont even fill yourself nor are you told they cost extra. When you go to a buffet you expect all-inclusive. Their menu on the website claimed to have hundreds of items. Their buffet instead was a third of various salad fixings/cold buffet, a middle chunk devoted to the hot buffet, and the other third a mix of various desserts. Each of these buffet sections were a mess of their own. The salad area is just various salad toppings, and some nonsensically added foods that nobody eats. The salad dressings are spilled all over and the people who are to attend to the area just leave tubs of dressing dripping into the big holding pots preventing you from scooping out the dressing you want. The plastic guard is also to close and the food is set two holding pots deep so it makes it hard to scoop out what you want. The hot buffet contains a variety of lackluster meats, mostly empty or old looking food bins, and cheese sauce so thick you need to fling it onto your plate or wait 30 mins for it to drip off the spoon. The handles of the serving utensils were covered in grease and disgusting to handle. This idea of an all you can eat meat buffet are way off, the trays are barely kept up and the food is so greasy that after one plate of salad and one plate of the hot buffet which I only had a few things that looked edible I was full and Im not a lightweight. So dont go if you have grand ideas of huge portions of meat dancing in your head. I had never even heard of this place but in the last two months I repeatedly saw the commercial about all the bacon wrapped meats so after our restaurant plans failed we swung by this place instead. The bacon wrapped around a chunk of chicken my fiance ate was undercooked and inedible. Its like a really noisy cafeteria. Its full of senior citizens who think theyre getting a bargin and poor families who think its fine dining. What it is though, is a zoo. A noisy zoo where kids run into your chair and the parents dont mind because they have no idea how to raise decent human beings. Finally once youre done eating your lackluster dinner and its time for dessert. Your options are a couple little mini pies under the wrong tags as most of the items are. And if the sign says pumpkin pie youd best have pumpkin pie, not coconut. They have a couple cakes up that are hardly pre-sliced but you need to wrestle your cake off the big pedestal using their little slice server all while trying to weasel under the guard. If you try to get some soft serve ice cream its going to plop half melted into your bowl, and then youll have some mediocre topping options. Gummi bears and chopped nuts dont cut it. So in the midst of this chaos you have zero option for atmosphere or conversation. Its a cafeteria....or better yet a soup kitchen. The kind of place where you dont feel comfortable leaving your coat at the table let alone bringing a purse. For the money spent here youd have a better meal, a better dinner atmosphere, and better conversation at a different location. Try Red Lobster. Try Steak n Shake. Try Applebees. At least with those places you could spent less money and get more for your buck. Id rather go to Chilis and spend 30 bucks on an appetizer, two large meals, and two large drinks. At least then when we get full half way through dinner were allowed to take our leftovers home.

Where do I start? I have been to this same restaurant about four years ago and it was a good experence. This time I have taken guests and I wanted to turn around and go somewhere else right after paying at the door! 1. There was no host and we were told to seat our selves. Every empty table was dirty. We had to look for a server to clean a table for us. Not that the restaurant was packed. The staff only cleaned tables when asked. About half were empty and left dirty. 2. The silverware and plates were beyond filthy! You can not find a clean fork or knife. All had stains like they were only rinsed. All plates had left over grease and food! 3.Many items on the buffet looked like they been left there for 2 days. The people at the steak grill make one large steak and cut it up every about ten minutes. There are people who come back each time steak is ready, push their way through and ask for 5 or more pieces. I tried to line up like a civilized person at least 5 times to get a steak for me and my sister and failed each attempt! People push you around then you are asked to come back in 10 minutes! 4. It is almost as hard too to get a refill on your drink. There are no servers who come to your table. You need to chase one around. 5. Empty plates will not be taken off your table since the servers dont go around. 6. The no host and not enough servers system allow irresponsible parents to let their kids roam the restaurant and mess up the buffet. by any means, avoid this place. There are many other restaurants in NWI that you can take your guests to.

Went on a Friday at 3:00. The place was extremely dirty. The bathrooms were a mess. The silverware container smelled like spoiled food. The plates were dirty. I scraped old food off two of them. There was food cross contamination everywhere. The walls and salt shakers were crusty with food remnants. They rarely refilled food. ALOT of it looked like it was out for several hours...crusty and gross. The staff was combining the very old looking food, with fresh food. They never completely replaced anything. The only good experience came from our waitress. She was working too many tables but kept my ice tea glass full. The only reason my husband and I came here was because I had a gift card and several hours to burn. We wont be coming back EVER.

Let me tell you of this Golden Corral. We had been on a school fieldtrip since 6am and driven nearly 400 miles, so by 630pm, we were like a bus of hungry 5th grade lunatics descending like a devouring swarm. The food was Fantastic. The staff was honestly friendly and attentive. And good golly, the food was just wonderful, and so much of it for such a good price. And so it came to pass that on a day of high adventure in distant places, 30 5th graders and accompanying adults walked out of the Golden Corral on West Jefferson with full bellies and smiles of delight. So it was and so I have written.
