A breakfast restaurant with a special touch that lives up to the name. Pros: -lives up to its name by having that harbor feel while you eat eggs (If you ordered eggs that is) -good food (8.7/10) -great variety of food with enough options to satisfy everyone but not too much that it feels like a scavenger hunt -quiet dinning room, nothing too loud (excluding young kids in this evaluation as what can you expect from them), allowing for a comfortable conversation between yourself and others Cons: -its downtown naperville (which brings about issues with finding a parking spot usually not very close by) although also a plus as you can get some exercise! -shared building so theres more people in the immediate area than inside the restaurant so it will feel a bit cramped till you sit down -busy at times Overall: Its a nice cozy place with a lot to offer. It gives you that harbor feeling without over doing it, and the food is good. If a wait is your concern, early to rise or have a late breakfast (your choice!). The menu size is just perfect, you wont feel pressured into looking at every option on a 12 volume menu, they keep it simple and sweet! Definitely try the eggs (a scrambler or skillet is always a good choice), and when youre done and walking back to your car which unfortunately was parked a few blocks away, take the opportunity to poke your head in the countless shops down there! Little tip, the tea shop is really cool! (Ill let you explore for it on your own though, thats half the fun!)

I used to really love their coffee, but I went there today and it tasted watered down and not fresh. The food always used to be pretty good. Not too greasy, though very variable with the salt content. Today my scrambled eggs were burned and my wifes egg scrambler was extremely uneven with the salt. I dont know if theres a new cook, but it simply is not as good as it used to be. Its not horrible, but theres some really good competition in the area and Egg Harbor isnt quite at the top anymore. The atmosphere is bright and lively, though it can get loud if its busy. The service is very nice and the servers are very friendly.

Read all the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Went in on a Sunday morning around 9 and even though they were packed we had our choice of table or booth. The menu was fairly diverse with options ranging from southern grits to crapes. Prices were standard for the area. $12/plate w coffee. Its in downtown Naperville directly across from the river walk so if you need cheap that can be found about 20 miles down the road. Service was ridiculously good. They brought pots of coffee to leave at the table & offered to box up leftovers. Even asked if we wanted the coffee to go.

The food was absolutely terrible the French toast was half dry bread, the protein wrap the beans were uncooked or super old. Not only was the food terrible but they are overpriced for breakfast $40 for two. When the server noticed I didnt eat my food she asked how the food was and when I told her the truth about my wrap the least she could have done is met me halfway or take it off my tab but of course she didnt. The only reason why they get 1 star is because their strawberry juice was amazing.

Wonderful place for breakfast. I love that you have a pitcher of water in the table and you get a whole pitcher of coffee when you order coffee. I know some expect servers to be all over beverage refills, but this is much more convenient. The service is fast and friendly and theres a huge emphasis on teamwork. The food is fresh and well prepared. Parking is adequate. They serve intelligentsia coffee. The prices are good and the establishment is clean. What more could you ask for!?

I had a very bad experience here before but my mistake for putting the whole resto for just one persons mistake. So I gave it a try again today & wow, everything turns out awesome. Very friendly server on John who explains everything & Oh, I love their flexible menu. Yup, try to bend whatz on the menu to enjoy more of what they have to offer :) Strawberry-Orange a must & dont go home without tasting their cinnammon-roll french toast.

The most wonderful experience in naperville!!! The following was superb! Sarah ! Very personable and friendly and knowledgeable about the specials! Best waitress in town by Miles!!!! Her ability to make our first time here Not our last! Her smiling face was a pleasure and welcomed! I personally recommend this supremely run eatery when searching for a place to eat in naperville! Average breakfast/brunch place. A wide menu to choose from, but was surprised when my waitress announced my croquet madame! Tasty enough, but let down by the presence of table after table of well-heeled suburbanites, completely oblivious to the incessant screams and tantrums their offspring produce, removing any air of calmness from the place altogether. Avoid.

I went here about a couple months ago. I felt that the food was a little overpriced. My breakfast was really tasty compared to what my friends had bought. I ordered the special and didnt find out until the check that it cost $17. My mistake for not asking. Highly suggest not buying just plain French toast, it was very lacking according to my friends.

TERRIBLE rude and slow service, only people who had a clue what they were doing were busboys. Overall just a really bad restaurant, the menu was really not great and pretty overpriced for the portion sizes. Lots of other good breakfast spots in the neighborhood if you are looking for that type of food.

Just love mornings here, I really need to drag myself here for lunch again one day. New Quinoa Breakfast Bowl is a great new dish. Always adding seasonal/daily specials too. Try the pumpkin pancakes. My first experience with Egg Harbor was in Hinsdale 25 years ago... about time I left a review.

Food was not good at all, no taste. I give it 3 stars for the drinks were delicious and service was great. We ordered orange juice, frozen hot chocolate and ice tea, all 3 delicious. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated on a very busy morning, that was great. Doubt Id come back.

The food is very well prepared, tasted delicious, staff was friendly, couldve been a little more attentive, but thats okay. It was a nice, quiet place to go for breakfast. Only thing I would add to the menu is Biscuits and Gravy, a favorite that I wouldve loved to get.

Some of the best breakfast offering in Naperville. Omelettes, skillets, all the breakfast staples are there in a variety of ways. The place has a very cozy, grandmas house vibe and the staff is friendly. During a weekend I would plan ahead, this place gets packed.

Delicious. This place is great with huge portions. If you are going on a weekend make sure to get there before the church crowd or it is a long wait. Parking can also be difficult in downtown Naperville so if meeting someone give yourself plenty of time.

A cornerstone of downtown Naperville! While there is sometimes a wait for breakfast or brunch, it is well worth the wait. The food is fresh and delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the location is great. I havent had a bad experience here, ever!

Today was my second time in, and both times were great experiences. The food is wonderul, and the staff is very polite and on top of service. The staff is very quick to help with any needs, even the food was brought to the table in a timely manner.
