We discovered that a jerk chicken place was close to our house and decided to treat ourselves. We ordered the jerk chicken dinner and the jerk catfish dinner. First of all, they give you the sides THEY want you to have, which is different from the other places Ive been too. Normally I get to pick my sides. I asked if I could substitute and got a big fat NO, but was told I could order a side for an extra $2.50. My dinner was already costing me $10!!! They gave you cabbage, plantains, which I am allergic to, and rice and peas, with rice that was undercooked. Instead of Jerk chicken and catfish, we got grilled. There was no spice or kick to it at all. It was not seasoned at all. The spicy sauce they gave us was not spicy at all, and had no flavor. I will not return here. For the quality of food I received, they owe me money back. I highly recommend that you DO NOT eat here.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE. I recently bought a Jerk Dinner from here which included chicken, rice & peas, cabbage and plantains, the flavor absolutely horrible, the chicken had a weird taste. May have even been old. The plantains were old, you can tell this food was prepared days ago and reheated then served to me. The food wasnt even hot, some parts was warm and cold. I ended up throwing my food out, In the end I learned my Lesson. Even if it did cost me $10.00. I have family and friends from the Islands, this is NOT A GOOD REPRESENTATION!!!

Service was decent but food was a big disappointment. I asked cashier how long they been in business and she said eight years, so I ordered two lunches. One forr me and one for my son. I was eager to try it out so I pulled into the parking lot across the ways just to sample it. I threw both lunches away in the Touch of beautys garbage can. We were both disappointed. How can you mess up jerk chicken and mac and cheese. I should have left when she told me they didnt have any jerk tacos.

It was ok. The oxtails were a bit dry and small, the plantain was hard and the steamed cabbage was bland. Yet, the jerk chicken was decent, I didnt really care for the sauce. The rice and beans was good along with the curry goat. I guess the Caribbean bakery on the northside of chicago has me spoiled to great Jamaican food, I miss living in chicago. Id go back to try the brownstew chicken but will not get the cabbage nor plantain, Id rather cook my own.

Just close your doors already. The food here is bad now, I couldnt finish eating it. Old chicken??? Really? Chicken dry. rice and peas over cooked. Im so pissed I gave you all another chance. Clearly you need to give up on jerk altogether. My last 3 visits there has been less than poor quality. If you looking for quality authentic jerk, go to Hey Mon around the corner on Cicero. You may have to wait a while, but you will have great food.

Wish I could give them -3 stars they dont know what Jerk food is only thing that was good was the side of jerk sauce. The mac and cheese is definitely not cooked right for 1 they use shells not the elbow Maccaroni kind, the chicken and oxtails was nasty and bland. Whoever give this place more stars then the 1 you have to give dont travel from these suburbs cause the city has alot of great Jerk food places.

When they first opened up i thought they were great but as always with many businesses they fail to continue what brought you to patronize them initially. The dinners began to be less and less in quality and quanity. I loved the oxtails until i would receive more bones than oxtails and the jerk chicken sometimes was burned and very small. I am disappointed with the quality of food served.

Food is horrible rice n peas are the worst I ever had plantain dry and overcooked bread horrible chicken has no seasoning only a thin amount on skin. Dessert was awful too dry and stale because its not refrigerated. These people dont care about customer satisfaction and quality. Ill never go here again I hope they go out of business. Been eating Kingston for years but todays experience was the worst. Customer service has gotten worse. My order was wrong, the chicken and beans was blame. The jerk sauce not even the same. Very disappointed in what I got for $12.

Ordered catering and was given a pan of cold chicken. Then the mgr lied and said she witnessed it come out of the oven. The girl at th cash register admired to me when she grabbed it to give to me it was not hot. Stay away.

The lady at the register is very nice and so is the man. The jerk chicken is ohhh soo good. The cabbage is perfect. Mac and cheese is nice and cheesy and the plaintains are to die for. I will most definitely be a regular.

Worst jerk I ever had. Chicken didnt even taste like jerk, the rice and beans doesnt taste like its fully cooked, yams was just nasty. Not to mention the 30 minutes waiting just to be disappointed.

Food was hot and fresh, counter help was a bit less than expected , my husband got her to smile and it was all smiles. We sat and ate manager came out and asked how was the food, and it was great.

Excellent Jerk Chicken Dinner. I am a very picky eater and do not like to try new places. Food was great, they have lunch specials (prices are very reasonable). Will definately try it again!

I fell in love the first time I tried this place. My favorite is the jerk chicken and plantine, Ive tried the shrimp but it was to spicy so I stick with the chicken. Best jerk Ive ever had

Outstanding! BEST SAUCE EVER! Chicken is good and tender. Rice is great and garlicy! Cabbage is well seasoned and tender! GO THERE!!!!
