Like some of the other reviewers have noted this place is right in the middle. The pizza is alright in terms of crust and toppings. The sauce is where they are saving money. Always order a thin crust. The only bonus are the hours and the proximity to my house. The gelato is really good but the other desserts (milkshakes and cakes) are WAY overpriced. I recently bought a much better turtle cheesecake (which came with two pieces) from ALDIs around the corner for 2 BUCKS. Their cheese cake cost about 5 bucks for a tiny slice. I would only come back in if I was drunk or starving for a thin slice. One more thing...their pasta of the day is also worth it. Its always enough food for two meals and comes with toasty garlic bread. Each time I ordered it I was happy.

This review is based solely on pick-up orders; I have never eaten inside: The pizza here is really quite good--one of the better thin crust pizzas Ive had in this city. The crust is super flakey and delicious, the sauce isnt overpowering and they have a wide selection of fresh toppings and satisfying side dishes/appetizers The restaurant has an old-timey Italian feel to it and seems pretty relaxed. For Loyola students: they accept your student cash card (I forget the name, not a student there). Overall, I wouldnt particularly go out of my way to get this pizza if you dont live nearby or are in the area, but it is probably the best available in Edgewater.

Since I live right down the street its very convenient, also always open late which is great. the pizza is consistently good and its very reasonably priced. Not the best pizza Ive ever had, but definitely not the worst by a long shot. They serve both stuffed and thin crust pizza, gelato (which was good when i tried it) they also have free wifi. The staff could spend a little less time messing around and be a bit more professional but the food doesnt suffer at all.

Live across the street from this location, first time Ive ordered something from here. Ordered Fish and Chips (deluxe). The actuall Cod was good, but the meal sucked! Got a toasted bun with two pieces of fish, and three packages of tarter sauce, one of which was actually Mayo not Tartar sauce. Basically got two pieces of fish on a bun thats it (not including the coleslaw and fries). Meal fell far from reflecting the price.

I am a loyola student and go here all the time! The hours are great and the serving sizes are big. You can get a $4 slice that in reality is the size of two regular slices combined. Their deepdish is good too. One slight concern though: If you live somewhat close-by and are thinking about ordering delivery, I wouldnt recomend doing so. The delivery process is a bit slow. Its faster to just walk in and order.

I gave this place three tries. Maybe I had just ordered something bad? So I gave them 3 tries total. The 3rd time I complained (you have to really for to complain about a 5 dollar slice). The man sarcastically said "Im sorry if its not to your liking". The only reason this place is in business is because the Loyola students can use meals cards to charge food.

Ravioli was overpriced and not enough for the price honestly. They do not have many choices in deepdish slices, only cheese & spinach, and sausage. Last time I was there the fountain machine was broken. The drinks were not carbonated at all. Everything just tasted like sugar water. Would go again, but only for the the thin-crust slices.

I think Ive found my new favorite pizza place. The sauce is ever so delicious and homemade. The variety of single pizza slices is wide unlike other places that have only cheese, sausage and pepperoni. A great option for those that are like myself and prefer pizza without meat. However, it is also a meat lovers dream.

Awful pizza. Maybe the worst Ive ever had. Their cheese fries werent good either. The cheese itself was fine however the fries were the type you buy at a grocery story in the frozen food section. Their service was good, but the food was less than mediocre. Wont be coming back, sorry!

The food is decently priced, and even if youre not in the mood for pizza you can still get good sandwiches, gelato, and some other Italian-American basics. The potato chips are a little disappointing, but youre not here for those. Youre here to feed two people for $14.

I dont like their pizza because the cheese always falls off the pizza. So you always find your self trying to hold the cheese down while your taking a bite. The bread is like a watery biscuit. The cheese is somehow to thick, with the consistency of semi hardened glue.

This place looks great but their food is bland if I may be honest. Massively overpriced and is not good-tasting food. The pizza here is awful- sauce is too sweet. It was the first time I threw away pizza in a looong time. BUT they have the best chocolate shakes ever!

Hidden gem! Its small, dark, cozy and BYOB. Im not a big fan of pizza but couldnt resist because it was soon good! The ingredients are so fresh; hubby and I finished the whole pie. We plan to return with friends next time so we can try their cal zones.

Absolutely love Petes Pizza. I have been coming here since a freshman for delicious meals at a great price. They also offer some good deals for the Loyola students to get a free drink with your pizza up until 3pm. Highly recommend.

Had my first meal from Petes last night since moving to the neighborhood and it was wonderful!! Fresh, hot and absolutely delicious! Great size portions at great prices! And the delivery time was less than 30 minutes!

Absolutely the worst Ive had. It was given cold. It had so much spice in either the sauce or meat that it instantly made me sick. Then at night I got the worst heart burn which I never get. Ill never go there again.

You definitely get the feeling that this is a college spot since its near the Loyola campus. Its all pretty good, but it can seem a little bit pricey. The pizza is generously big, but its not the best pizza around.

Their food is good. Staff are super friendly and its so close to the Granville station. Its also easy to order online. Perfect for grabbing food for the family in a pinch on a late night.

My girlfriend and I were in from out of town visiting friends and stopped here. Thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and gelato here. Would definitely do again to try the sandwiches.

Really good food and the staff is nice and friendly. They let me sample the gelato while I waited on my pizza order. They also serve by the slice and pasta dishes.

Dont sleep on Petes! I would take Petes pizza over Giordanos any day of the week. They have lots of other appetizers and desserts as well and a nice atmosphere.

Love them! They are the only pizza joint I trust, even if they have soggy veggies that make the delivery box sopping wet at the bottom. Damn good dessert too!
