Top-notch home-style Italian food in a charming room with attentive service. The menu covers a lot of ground, from grilled meats to veal and chicken to red sauce pastas - and usually a few daily specials - but Im regularly drawn to the grilled vegetable platter, the homemade 8-finger cavatelli with rapini (and garlic!), and the grilled calamari and octopus. Small but well-chosen wine list. 10-seat bar for waiting or solo dining - or for a quick drink at intermission of plays next door at Artistic Home. Party room upstairs. Valet parking. Convenient to United Center for pre-game dining. Warning: full portions of pastas are truly gargantuan and can easily feed two or three people. Half-portions are still large, but you can try two or three and make everyone at the table happy.

If you want to dine where the owners son feels his friends that he is partying with are the only people that counts are them then I would recommend you go there. I was having dinner in the dining room and had to move to the front of the restaurant so my wife and I would not have to listen to the constant F Bombs being yelled out like no one was there, and didn’t care! We asked to be moved to the front of the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. There was no manager….And the owner’s son (the manager/owner on duty) never bothered to comply with my request. Why?? He doesn’t care!! I have been there many times for dinner, and have sent people there..Never again! If you want to go where the owner doesn’t care about you and his customers go to Bella Notte 0 stars!

Was extremely unfriendly and unaccomidating for a reservation mistake. After it was discovered by the front desk host that our reservation wasnt submitted by the previous hostess when we called a few hours before, he simply rolled his eyes and told us it would be a couple minute wait. There were no apologies or even a sense of haste to seat us. Within the 45 minutes that we waited, we also witnessed two other smaller parties that had a similar reservation mistake, and the host gave a similar response to them as well. We ended up leaving due to the lack of warmth demonstrated by the person who was supposed to be greeting the guests. Overwhelmingly disappointed.

We tried this place prior to a Black Hawks game on New Years. We were seated at 5:40 pm and walked out at 7:03 without our food being served. We didnt order anything complicated - mostly the specials offered. Neither the server or manager offered any explanation, just repeated promises "soon, soon, being prepared." Tables coming in later than us were served. On top of it all, the manager insisted on charging us for the wine we drank while waiting, instead of a courtesy waiver of the bill which would have been good business. Maybe a place to go to if you want a long evening - not a place before a hockey or basketball game. We were sadly disappointed.

Generous portions too! We loved the back patio for the privacy. We were very pleased with our delicious pasta dishes. Service was friendly and our water glasses were filled. I would highly recommend Belle Notte to anyone interested in hosting a private event. We loved our singing waiter too! The entire experience was Fantastic! Bravo! The food is good, and we will also be returning as regular guests!

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to go to North Beach for a meal. The menu is extensive so I will definitely be back again to try one of their other dishes. The owner/manager here is really amazing. Very nice and has great hospitality. The atmosphere and ambiance of being able to eat right is really cool. The food here is really good. Highly recommend this place.

Once again, Bella Notte Ristorante did not disappoint us. We had the beautiful and delicious handkerchief pasta with just the right amount of that yummy pesto sauce. Also tried the veal with the tomato and it was perfectly cooked (NOT overcooked at all), so good with just the right flavors. Highly recommended. Will be back again and again.

I never thought I could find a fine and inexpensive Italian restaurant like Bella Notte. The food is excellent and the service as well. I ordered seafood pasta and surprising I paid what in an another place I would pay for a sandwich. They make you feel at home. I recommend this restaurant if you are craving for a good Italian lunch.

Look no further, dont hesitate, just go to this wonderful restaurant, the food is spectacular, the service is perfect, the veal was the best I had ever eaten anywhere. The Wedding Soup was fabulous, coffee was perfect and the staff better than most. Polite, attentive and generous. WE will be back soon.

Great food, great prices, great service and a fantastic romantic setting. The owner Ramon is truly passionate about his business and it shows with its presentation. It inspires his staff to work hard and I had many memorable dinners at this place with my Husband. Top Notch

Old school Italian with enormous portions. The service was kind of crappy, but the food was outstanding. Enough so it made up for the bad service. Ill be back despite the service because the food is worth it. They offer anything Italian your heart, ahem...belly desires.

Well made cocktails, excellent food (you can cut the veil with a fork), and a good atmosphere. I had a wonderful time with my gal and a few friends. The seating was roomy and comfortable. The staff is courteous and attentive. So much win on a snowy Saturday night.

When my boyfriend surprised me by taking me to dinner here, I was ecstatic! They gave us a table in the corner for us to have a little romantic dinner. The staff was extremely nice, and the food was incredibly delicious. Thank you Bella Notte!

Tried many of the Chicagos best but this one still sticks out in my mind. Get the sausage and peppers for an appetizer and order anything else on the menu. It wont disappoint.

Real old school Italian food in a warm inviting Tuscan style dining room. This is one of my go to places when I want a big bowl of tasty pasta and a glass of red!
