I have a high standard for chinese food, so most places dont get the coveted 5 star rating. Unfortunately, the Chambana area has pretty low standards for chinese. Peking Garden was a weird case for me though. This place is EXTREMELY hit or miss, more so then I ever seen a restaurant be... The first time I went here with coworkers, the food was hot, came quick, and tasted terrific. At the time, I would have ALMOST gave it a 5 star rating. I was glad I didnt though. I went back a second time and the food came out cold, there was a long wait, and it didnt taste nearly as good. I went back a third time, and this time the food was just ok.. and the service was bad. The 4th time I went back though was what ultimately makes the place deserve the 2 star rating, as not only was the service terrible, food took almost 45 minutes to come out and there were only three tables filled, and both me and my girfrriend got food sickness from it... It was not fun especially since we both had to work later that day. Somewhat trivial but the day was only made worse as the waitress made pricing errors on my bill, of which I had to argue with her that eggrolls came with the lunch special and were not supposed to be an extra charge... At this point, other then the first time I went there, the food has been pretty crappy, and food comes out cold way too often... Service can also go from great to absolutely terrible depending on who is working that day. I wanted to really like this place since it is close to me work, and the food is priced right, but unfortunately, bad service, long wait times, and food that frequently goes from tasting good to absolutely terribly has me moving on. Eaters beware, maybe youll get a good meal, but at least with my luck, youre likely to get an awful cold one as well.

Ive been dining at Peking Garden for over three years and find the manager very courteous and friendly. She greets you with a smile when you come in and will usually ask how you are doing. Peking Garden is very flexible when it comes to making your plate custom, unlike other Chinese restaurant(s) in the area. Its easy to ask for something to be done a different way, for you. Their English is not their forte--their food and dining service are. In my opinion, their difficulty in speaking "perfect" English just shows their genuine quality. The food in my opinion is absolutely delicious. It is savory, the appetizers crunchy and the plates hot and comforting. They are NOT stringent or penny-pinchers with their portions. If you are hungry, you will be satisfied. Try the "birds nest" if you are a seafood fan, or the mongolian beef non-sweet if you are a beef fan. They also have hot teas which I love in the evening, and a banquet room in the back perfect for parties or gatherings. I think with delivery they only go over a certain area, so its not really about being 10 or less minutes away, but rather whether your location is outside or inside their delivery bounds, so Id ask. I like the manager so much I drive there anyways on my way home.

The woman who I spoke with did not speak good English and couldnt understand English. I had to repeat myself at least 5 times when ordering my food. I told her I wanted to order for delivery and I was giving her my address. Before I could finish what my address was she hung up on me. When I called back to ask what the problem was and why she had hung up she said my address was too far away. I had already looked up on mapquest to how far this location was to my address and it was only an 11 minute drive. Bad business dont eat.

She was very rude while serving our lunch on Womens Day. we were really uncomfortable and the food was terrible. she delivered different food than we ordered. when we questioned her , she didnt even bother to respond. For this poor service, they added quite some tip in the bill with out mentioning it to us or in bill. Never will visit again. Check your bill before you PAY!!!

Careful -- Horrible services and may be cheating the customer. The waitress gave me a check than more than Ive ordered, whether its intentional or not, I dont know. When I pointed it out, the waitress started to become mad, and claimed that "if you want to complain, complain to my boss" Have I ever seen a restaurant like this? No. Will I be in Peking Garden again? No.

Peking Garden is my favorite restaurant in town. The owner is one of the hardest working, friendliest people Ive ever met, but somehow still finds time to sit with us when we eat if we come in late. The food is in fact really, really good (Id recommend the salt and pepper deep fried shrimp or the mao po tofu especially) and the service is amazing.

I loved their food. It was nothing extraordinary but it was good. However.. they never seem to listen and when they make mistakes they refuse to fix them and tell us "sorry there nothing we can do." I have spent tons of money with them and tip well for them to basically tell me Im out of luck on what I ordered.

They were rude while serving our dinner. After we placed our order, they began talking really loud in a different language. we were really uncomfortable with their reaction to our order. The soup was partly uncooked and cold. I had a terrible experience. The plates they served us in were also smelly.

Ordered carryout a few times from this place so I cannot comment on the service in-house. Overall, its standard fare chinese food but the past few times I ordered food the meat didnt have a "meat-like" texture. Its somewhere between gristly and soft, much unlike the actual texture of chicken / beef.

If you order the right menu the youd get excellent food (and services). Weve been there time to time ever since the 1990s. Stuffed Tofu, Peking Duck are two of many good menus there. General Tso, Sweet and Sour shrimp & chicken, Chinese broccoli (Kai-Lan) are also good.

Pretty standard fare Chinese takeout. Ordered delivery, so I cant comment on the in-house service or anything. I had the Chicken Lo Mein, which was hot and fresh-tasting, and very filling. The portion seemed pretty large for the price. Overall Id definitely order again.

DISGUSTING customer service. I was ordering something vegetarian and the person says "I think it is vegetarian" and I am like "You think or you know?" and she goes " we cannot clean the kitchen for you and we are very busy now"- bottom line- I didnt order here.

I hadnt been here in a few years and I was worried if the quality was as good as I remember. It was all that and more. Every dish was delicious, the service was excellent, and I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended.

Ive been coming here for years and they always have amazing food and service. The owners are very friendly. The lunch specials are an incredible deal. Lots of food at a low price. Generals chicken or egg foo young.

order was just cancelled for not giving enough of a tip. That combined with absolutley horrible customer service from the restaurant and long delivery times has forced me to decide to never eat here again.
