I loved my experience there. First, I want to say to my confusion that just because its called a café does NOT mean it serves coffee as its main product. Or even at all, if they do. I didnt see it on the menu, just alcoholic beverages. That said, my experience was overall very pleasant. My waitress was polite, courteous, and sociable, and while I didnt get much opportunity to speak to her I saw how she treated everyone else and she treated us all with the same courtesy and manners, as was the cook that brought out my food. Speaking of, I had the mahi special(substituted the cauliflower purée for mashed potatoes) and I found it to be the absolute best mahi I have had to date, no contest. My gin bramble was also a good drink, though Im by no means considered a drinker, so take what you will from that. The overall styling of the restaurant was very easy on the eyes, and my favorite feature was DEFINITELY the live musician. His musical styling reminded me of both a tropical beach and a trip through Italys famous locales. Im told he usually shows up either Wednesday and Friday or Wednesday and Thursday, which means to me that the next time I come in will be on a Wednesday. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will be coming back for more.

I ventured out to the burbs for a wedding shower and ended up at Topaz Cafe. It is nestled in a little cookie cutter outdoor mall. So, the outdoor atmosphere and location leave a bit to be desired for my taste. But, the food was solid and this is a good option if youre in the area! We chose from a pre-fixed special event menu for the shower. We started with a pretty basic salad and bread with dressing that was on the sweet side. Nothing impressive there. The main dishes were a mushroom ravioli, salmon, and chicken. The ravioli had good flavor, but the sauce was a little watery and washed some of the toppings and goodies off of the bite. The salmon was cooked very well. Nice and crispy on the outside, but juicy and not overdone on the inside. It was accompanied with some asparagus and potatoes. They were solid, but nothing special. The deserts were little mini cheesecakes, cookies, and carrot cakes. Those were also just what youd expect. The carrot cake stood out for its moistness! Again, nothing to write home about. I wouldnt drive from the city just to go there, but if I was in the area shopping or lived nearby and was hosting a special event, Id go with them!

This place is fantastic. When I called to make my reservation and inquired about my many food allergies, they put me on the phone with a chef right away. The next day, they had someone walk me through the Thanksgiving buffet to tell me which dishes I could or couldnt eat. Usually buffets are a nightmare for me, but I had a wide variety to choose from and I felt great the whole day (so I know they did not misinform me about any of the dishes, huge plus). You definitely get your moneys worth here not only in regards to the quality of the food but also the service (our waiter David was spot on). I am SO glad I came here this year instead of Maggianos like I was originally planning. I look forward to coming back soon!

The food, the ambience, the service, and oh my God the patio. All rates at the top of the list for me. What a find. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers on our way to meet others at a different restaurant, and we were so disappointed when we got to the second restaurant. Its fails in comparison. The food was awful, the patio compared to this one was a joke, and the service was just so-so. The service here was outstanding, but the patio is drop dead gorgeous. You will swear youre on vacation in Florida or Miami or seventh Utiful exotic faraway place. This is going to be our new hang out for sure. Kudos to the owners/managers.

Originally going to eat at Coopers hawk but the line was at 2 hours waiting time so we ended up at Topaz ( 45 min wait) at a busy Saturday night. Very busy but we were able to sit at the bar before we sat at a table, ordered fried calamari and Japanese tempura with a bottle of wine for appetizers. For dinner white fish, braised ribs and steak and a couple more drinks adding up to $227 bill ( 3 adults)but All in excellent taste. Not your regular everyday restaurant. Good for special occasion celebrations, not recommended for a date night on weekends due to noise levels

Topaz is my favorite. The craft cocktails are creative and super fresh, and the chef regularly updates the menu with delicious seasonal dishes and amazing specials. Today, for instance, we enjoyed the many pork dishes offered because the chef slaughtered a whole freaking pig! I am unaware of any other restaurant outside the city that boasts a chef that ambitious and capable. Last, but certainly not least, the service at Topaz is the best. Everyone is so polite and friendly, I always feel like Im dining amongst friends.

Place is nice, but service and food is just so so. I had lunch with my friend here. I asked for coffee which was served lukewarm, had a refill just upon asking and showing to an empty cup. I ordered roasted beet salad and clam chowder, The soup was good, but was served without a spoon, so I had to wave at the waiter for his attention. The salad was bad as beets were not roasted but boiled and taste of vinegar was overpowering, no sign of goat cheese either. Probably not coming back.

I was in town visiting a friend and stopped by this place because of all the amazing reviews. Boy this place does NOT disappoint. Freshly made pasta, seasonal ingredients, fantastic service. Amazing food. You should NOT go here if you are on a budget. You will easily blow at least hundred dollars on the place. Other than that. Amazing. I will be back!

The staff is always very friendly and professional. The menus is always very good and there are always some clever specials. The atmosphere is fresh and clean, and not too crowded or noisy. They have an excellent choice of wines to compliment the dishes. I go there often, and I am never disappointed. In fact, its just a little too good!

Food was great, patio is the real deal, drinks are on point. They do a great job with their burger, gnocchi, and GTO cocktail. Hostess could do a better job being warm and inviting in addition to looking up from her smartphone to acknowledge patrons when they leave.

Went here the other night because I heard great things from the reviews. The service was outstanding. I had the mushroom ravioli with butter sauce which was amazing. Only downside is that I wish it werent this expensive to get such amazing food.

Topaz patio is out of this world. Life is good when you have great company accompanied with great food (octopus and mussels) followed by a Topaz Burger which paired perfectly with a 2012 Amarone. Like i said Life is Good.
