LOVE EL GALLO. My best friend and I have been dining here since we were in our middle school days. We sit at the same table every time and every time we get served chips and salsa BEFORE we order. Recently, Rosita has been very rude to us. She demands that we EACH must be spending $5.50 before she can give us chips. No other waitress has this rule. I normally get their taco dinner, so I explained to her that I will be spending $10 alone. She said it didnt matter and that my friend had to pay $5.50 also to get the chips. RIDICULOUS! Also, another time before that we asked for a refill on our chips and she demanded we pay for the refill ($1.25) at the register immediately. We hadnt even paid for the meal we were eating yet! How does that make any sense??? Anyways, besides ROSITA, el Gallo is my favorite place to eat. The food is GREAT, so I deal with a little bitchiness because personally, I think its worth it.

I love there food I eat there all the time, sometimes even several times in one week. I get the same order everytime and always tip, and everytime they mess up my order. I ask for lime every time and they always forget it, and then today I placed an orider for pickup it was missing a taco and I was given no recipt. I called to complain and they were no help and said they couldnt find my order even though I had just picked it up. Then the woman raised her voice and hung up. It is extremely disappointing because I love there food but never want to eat there again because of the constant terrible service.

Went there and ordered 3 pork tacos right around lunch time, waited at least 20 min to get my order, probably longer. Granted some guy ordered 25 tortas in front of us but it just comes to show what poor operation they got going over there. Two people and I, with relatively small orders should not wait a half hour for a couple goddamn tacos at lunch time. Ok, so i finally got my food, and i take a bite out of a taco and with a mouthful of crap i exclaim, "this is horrible!!" Avoid this El Gallo, take the extra drive to the ones on Roberts rd. or Harlem ave.

The waitress was the worst. Shes terrible and mean. Her attitude wont let her work anywhere beside this place. Maybe she is a part of the ownership otherwise I dont understand how you can treat your customers so bad. Food 3 out of 5 Summary : try to look for different place to eat Mexican food. I prefer drive 20 minutes to eat good and be treated like customer not like stranger. Bad bad bad

The cashier is a racist we were in there today between 2 and 3 the waitress deliberately ignored us she was talking to the Latino custom we told her we were dining in and she still put our food in the bag then we went to the table she never brought the chips and salsa like she done for the Latino customers her attitude was rude I hate that b**** I will never be dining there everagain

Been going here for years, and for the most part have a favorable opinion of it. The tostadas and burritos are my personal to-go favorites, while to dine in I enjoy the steak fajitas. Food tastes good (albeit at times a tad greasy) and isnt overly expensive. Cheaper than Chipotle, and more authentic. Overall, a solid place for casual Mexican food.

I saw them recycle the chips from a table back into the main chip pile. Then I saw them take the salsa off the table and pour it back into the main batch using the same sooo. The customer was just using to eat!!!!!! Do not eat here!!!!

It is a great place for Mexican food. Burritos and tortas are amazing. I make sure that i make it to el gallo any time I visit the area. BONUS: It is open late! Need a midnight snack? Go to El Gallo!

My husband picked up a late nite bite of chicken tacos last night and has been been very sick since 4am. I know this can happen at a lot of places but it is more typical at mexican restaurants.
