I would not recommend this place. The food is the best indian food on this side of town, but the service is the worst I have seen in a very long time. I went on a Saturday night, and they were slammed with a full restaurant with 3 big groups. We went and sat, and the order was taken immediately, okay thats great. I waited for about 40 minutes before the first item came which was a dosa, they bought me two dosas and when I told them that I didnt order 2 they looked at me like I committed a sin. After the first order came, we waited for about 30 minutes before they brought me the second item, which wasnt even what we ordered. We ordered veg rice but got veg noodles instead. Seriously? Okay, at that point we asked about our appetizer which was MIA. When we asked about it, I didnt get an answer, the waiter said he would check and thats it. 15 minutes after that we finally got our appetizer. 20 minutes after that we got our biryani, which was really good. After we finished eating, We asked for a to-go box and were totally ignored. So we decided to go self serve ourselves, and we paid at the front without anybody bringing it to our table. So overall, basically the servers were only focused on the groups that were big. Groups that came after us got their food very fast. So to eat here, do I have to come in a group of 10? No matter how good the food is, if the service is terrible would you really want to eat here?

I normally dont write reviews but compelled to do so here! Heres my harsh review... To begin with, this place has nothing to do with the Hyderabad House on Devon Ave and therefore there is no comparison. The name is misleading and it is not Hyderabadi Biryani. It is more of an Andhra style super spicy biryani. Super spicy and flavorless! I ordered the mild version and got a biryani that burnt my throat going down. The rice itself was a bit too salty. It was all bones and barely any meat. Whatever little meat that I found was tough and dry. The raita that came with the order was watered down and mirchi ka salan tasted more like watered down imli ka khatta cooked with zeera dhanya powder. Really bad! My order was to go. Absolutely zero biryani aroma. Zero biryani taste. No saffron. No soft meat. No flavor. Bland and dry. Salty rice with tons of garam masala, zeera powder, and black pepper used. To go order came with half filled 3-oz container of raita and mirchi salan. Packing was horrible. I put the food bag in my car and the raita started leaking from the bag. Guy did not even apologize that it spilled on carpet in my car. Portion size is comparable to other restaurants. Price is very steep for such bad food. Bottom line... Flavorless and unauthentic, NOT Hyderabadi biryani, meatless, salty, not in a good way spicy, pricey, and bad service. Will not eat here again!!

I am currently sitting down in the restaurant and decided to take a break from the less than mediocre food and write a review for a restaurant that doesnt even deserve one star. I walked in and saw a "Please wait to be seated sign". We waited to be seated for 10 minutes then a family came and sat down at a table without even speaking to anyone. I went over to the man at the register and asked him if we have to wait to be seated and he said no. THERE IS A "Please wait to be seated" SIGN IN THE PLACE, WHY DO YOU NOT USE IT?! We got seated at a table that is way too close to the door and it was freezing balls. Like my balls were literally cold. We sat for another 15 minutes and no one came with a menu, I had to go up and ask for menus. I came back with the menus and I look on my table and there is a bottle of Windex on the table... WINDEX.. I was pissed off so I took it and hid it. The guy took forever to come and order our food, and he barely knew English. Food took 45 minutes to come out.. And it was tastelessy spicy. It was not good. They brought the 2 plates of food out 15 minutes between each other. I was waterless for a long time. To conclude this essay, DO NOT EAT HERE. The service, food and everything else sucks. Happy anniversary mom and dad

I came to Hyderabad House with my family expecting to have a nice dinner. However, that wasnt the case. It took 30 minutes for us to get one of our appetizers, which wasnt even cooked properly. We told our server and he told us he would redo the appetizer and bring it out right away. That didnt happen. It then took another 15 minutes to get our main course, which happened to be biryani. The biryani was not good at all. They loaded it with cardamon powder. Then 10 minutes later we finally got our second appetizer, which happened to be cold chicken 65. This was the tipping point because we are vegetarian and ordered cauliflower 65. On top of that we never got our first appetizer like the server said he would. Im very disappointed with the service and quality of food of Hyderabad House and will not be returning. Customers please be aware before going here. I hope the owners fix these issues and try to bring back trust to their customers.

We recently moved from California Bay Area recently and we were looking for good Andhra cuisine. Bay area has many good Andhra restaurants. We have been to almost all the Andhra restaurants around Chicago and we couldnt find one thats close enough, until we found this place. This is the best restaurant if you are looking for good south Indian food (especially Andhra Biriyani). Definitely try the weekend unlimited Thali (Rajugaru Bhojanam). You will be Happy with the way they serve. Every few min they come and checks to see if you need anything. They give lot of attention and make sure that you are satisfied. Try their Gongura and Vijayawada biriyanis - we will liked it. They have a huge quantity as well (easily 2 people can eat one plate). We have been there many times and tried variety of their food and all the time it was fantastic. If you dont like spicy food, make sure that you mention mild in spice level. Overall recommend it..
